C. W.Got my first tattoo done here the other day and couldn't have had a better experience! Really good atmosphere in the studio and just a nice place to be.
The design was done by my friend and Wes tattood it perfectly. Felt very welcoming, and Wes gave plenty advice on placement and sizing etc. It was good to find similarities in music taste too!
Will definitely be back for more tattoos in the future 🙂
Also, how could you not want to get a tattoo at a place that gives you a sticker for being brave?
M. H.Travelled from Brighton for Gee Hawkes guest spot at Insider Tattoo and I’m so pleased I made the journey! All the artists were so friendly, inviting and accommodating and the space is unreal! I want my lounge to look like this studio 🌿 after being slightly anxious about flying on my own for the first time and getting only my second tattoo I was made to feel so comfortable and welcome. Thank you to everyone and especially to Gee for this gorgeous piece of art on my arm!

Couldn't be happier with the tattoo and I can't wait to finish the sleeve. All of the artists produced some amazing work throughout the two days I was there. He took a lot of time to make sure we were both happy with the pieces before putting them on. From the studio to the manager and the artists - you can really tell they care about the work they're doing.
M. B.Insider Studio is one of my favourite places in the world, one where I've always walked out of happier than I went in, thanks to the incredible artists there and their work.
I've had tattoos done by Jason & Wes, each one amazing in his own right, but honestly I'd happily get tattoos done by all the other artists there. The space is always light and clean, with a really nice atmosphere thanks to the incredible views over Leith and all the green plants hanging around. There's always patter & conversation going around, Jess makes sure that you're taken good care of, and all of it just makes the tattooing process itself seem so less painful.
Whether it's your first ink or you're a veteran, Insider Studio is the place for you. And good luck trying to stay away after you've been there - I certainly haven't been able to resist much!

So light, friendly and welcoming, and the artwork is amazing - I really like that everyone has their own strong individual styles and work together with customers' ideas to make all their inky dreams come true! Some wicked guest artists too as if that wasn't enough!

E.Insider Studio is clean, bright and and has a nice open planned vibe. The reception staff are super friendly and all the artists bounce off each other which creates an uplifting atmosphere for everyone there. Vik Balt - what a talented artist! Vik took the time to ensure we were both happy with the design, sizing and placement before starting with the tattoo itself. I left the studio with an amazing piece of art and a memorable experience. I’m already looking forward to returning to Insider Tattoo to have my sleeve finished by Vik!

I just want to say that this studio is first class for quality of service. From my first email to the studio with Jess to my appointment with Wes I felt really at ease and relaxed. This studio is at a phenomenal location overlooking the Shore. The studio is open plan which is a nice change from other studios with cramped, dark rooms. The atmosphere is relaxing and enjoyable as all the staff and the boss are interacting with each other in a nice way! I am so happy with my tattoo and look forward to coming back for another one! S. N.I have been tattooed in this studio five times so far by both Jason and Jack and I don’t have a single negative comment. Both of them are total gentlemen and always professional even when tattooing awkward bits like chins, armpits and toes. The setting is beautiful and unlike any tattoo shop I’ve ever been in. I’ve always felt totally relaxed and comfortable - Jess is always so welcoming and will offer you tea or coffee when you arrive too! All in all Insider is fantastic and I’ll keep coming back til I have no space left! Thanks so much everyone at Insider :)

B. A.Insider is an amazing studio. It's a beautiful, big, open space that's filled with light from the big windows and the view is spectacular. It's clear that a lot of care has gone into creating a calming and enjoyable space to be in. Not only that but all the artists that work there are amazing. I've been tattooed by both Jason and Wes and had a wonderful experience with both. I couldn't recommend the studio more highly!

Great studio, nice people and really super talented! I had a crappy old (30 years!) tattoo that I wanted covering up and I met Olivia and we discussed various ideas which she then went ahead with. 3 visits later and a shoulder and back tattoo that even impressed my teenage sons when they eventually saw it on holiday. Looking to add to it soon and only 1 place to go - Insider!

6. 6.Got tattooed here by Jason. What a lovely bunch of staff! Jason's wife Kaye kept bringing cups of tea with vegan biscuits, and the other artists in the studio were all friendly and chatty as well. The studio is open and very well lit with a view of a very Amsterdam-esque part of Edinburgh. Love the experience and of course the amazing tattoo and will definitely be back :)

J. A.E-gad! Just realized I never wrote a review for my last experience here. So sorry, guys! Wes worked with me on designing a full sleeve, and from start to end, his artwork/vision went above and beyond my expectations. He was able to turn something floating round in my noggin into technicolor insanity! I was only in Scotland for a short period, and he managed to squeak out a masterpiece in no time at all. My only regret was I wish I could have stayed longer so he could tat my legs as well! Insider Tattoo felt more like a family than just another business. Jess, Wes, and the others were always so warm n' welcoming. And there was definitely no shortage of laughs during a tat session there. If you guys were in the U.S., I'd no doubt be visiting you all the time for some amazing new art. A thousand thank-you's, guys. :) Hope you have nothing but success!!
