I can’t speak highly enough of the whole team at The Island. From extremely friendly conversation, blankets offered, hot drinks always on hand, super good music. The whole experience was extremely special. I want to mention Jamie specifically. I have severe scarring which is very personal, and have been waiting to have it tattooed for years. Not only did Jamie approach this with so much compassion, empathy and creativity, his skills absolutely blew me away. The results are utterly stunning, he worked with and around such a variety of scar tissue and texture yet the tattoo is flawless. I think I would struggle to find any tattoo experience that would match this. He is one of a kind. Thank you to the whole team for a beautiful day and a beautiful new and improved arm.

I recently had a beautiful tattoo by artist JamJam here. The experience was absolutely brilliant with feeling totally looked after and safe. The music, candles and incense made tattooing so very enjoyable. Great space and great people.

I've been tattooed by several members of The Island and I am so happy that I found this studio - they are a collective of artists who are not only incredibly skilled at their craft, they are also all friendly, welcoming, warm and professional. As a result the atmosphere in the studio is always lovely and it's a genuine pleasure visiting and getting inked there. The studio is also a beautiful space - brightly lit and full of gorgeous greenery. I've been really happy with the process of designing tattoos with the artists there and also the quality of the actual tattooing - they are also great about touch-ups and informative regarding tattoo care and advice. Would highly recommend reaching out to anyone there if you're looking for a beautiful tattoo and a great experience having it done.

The artists are immensely talented, considerate, compassionate and fun. The studio is breathtaking. It’s clean and bright with the windows overlooking the rooftops. The multitudes of plants, humidifiers with essential oils and candles create the warmest atmosphere which delights every sense without being overstimulating. I’ve never been to a studio like it, nor have I ever been treated so wonderfully.

Had an amazing experience at the Island ! The whole team gives a friendly, heart-warming welcome while the (very good) music, plants and basically all the decoration turns the studio into a nice cozy place, definitely making you forget the stress of a first tattoo. Special thanks to Jamie for his patience, understanding and of course its incredible design, I couldn't be happier with the result ! I just can't wait going back there for another piece !

I have had several (amazing) tattoos done by Jamie now, always a pleasure to go to the studio. The service is excellent with both Jamie and Jon being incredibly friendly, welcoming and happy to help. Jamie is very talented and always open to hearing thoughts, the whole process feels very much like a conversation and I've always walked away very happy. Will definitely be going again, and I highly recommend anyone else to do the same.

What a fabulous experience it is at The Island. I spent nearly 7 hours in the studio being tattooed by Jamie and it was so relaxing and enjoyable. I even managed to have a couple of naps mid tattoo! I've left with a tattoo that is the envy of my friends who are now looking at making the 400 mile round trip down to The Island such is the quality of Jamie's work. This was my first visit and it will be the first of many.
