It was easy to book an appointment and was notified when an earlier slot became available. The artist Derrick was a great and very approachable helping me workshop a design that turned out amazing. This was my first tattoo and Derrick was really good about making me feel at ease throughout the session. The place itself was pristine and sterile proving that I had made a smart choice to have the tattoo done here. After the session I was given a rundown of everything I needed to know about tattoo upkeep and was recommended some product to help me through the first two weeks of recovery. I will definitely be going back and even bought some numbing gel to make the next time easier.

Over the past 18 months Derrick has been working on a Gladiatorial shoulder and chest armour piece for me. I originally went with a very basic concept of what I wanted, Derrick chipped in a few ideas and the finished article is a work of art. The shop is absolutely immaculate and the he is such an easy guy to blether away to. Derrick has now done two amazing tattoos for me and I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else to get inked now and I definitely will be back for more. What can i say? A gem of a guy is the lovely Derrick. 💎 This has been my third visit with Derrick, my second at his new shop. The shop has been designed beautifully by Derrick and his partner. (She has great taste) 😉 Bright, spacious, comfortable and spotless clean. Bonus is watching a couple of movies on his huge TV while Derrick works his magic. Over the years with Derrick he has shown his ability to bring my ideas to life with minimal changes from his original design. He simply listens and understands what you want. The pieces i have to date are breathtaking. Perfect in every way. Priceless skill to share 💕 I cannot recommend Derrick more highly. I would and will not have anyone else work on my visions. Genuine great guy, so easy to chat with. His work is simply beautiful. Attention to detail is second to none. A true artist 🎨 COVID-19 Derrick could not possibly do more to keep himself and his clients safe. Perfectly executed routine in place when entering the premises including temperature check. Firstly this studio is bright, clean, full of light and it has a relaxing spa like quality as you enter which really makes you feel welcome. Derrick is a fantastic artist who really takes his time to go through everything with you and makes sure your are 100% happy before a needle is even touched. I've had 3 tattoos in less than 2 months from Derrick each different in design and they are fantastic. I cannot speak highly enough to Derricks skills. One of the tattoos Derrick has done is a cover up and I feel so much happier and comfortable now with this cover up. I can't recommend the InkedIn Tattoo Studio enough. Derrick is such a chill and creative dude. I brought him a bunch of band logos, album art and photos of my guitars and he designed the most awesome sleeve which is in progress. Have used Derrick for the past 13 years now and followed him through a few shops till now where he has his own studio, wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere. His work is of the highest standard regardless of the piece and style. He is meticulous in his approach and will be happy to input his professional opinion on what you would like done whether it be change something or add something as he sees appropriate to improve the look of your art. He knows when you’ve maybe hit a bad point in the tattoo and is quick to do what he can to pick you back up when you’re struggling during the session which is as equally important for both first timers and people who have numerous tattoos. His new place has 100’s of car park spaces in a NCP on the opposite side of the road and is very reasonably priced for the length of your tattoo session. Inked_in itself is an impeccably clean, modern tattoo studio with TV’s to watch while you’re having the work done on you. Would recommend Derrick and his team to anyone looking for their first tattoo or someone looking for a new tattoo. Their professional and friendly approach makes the whole experience better, allowing you to enjoy your new permanent artwork.

As with everything in life, Timing is a key factor in today's society from the latest trends to hit the high street, the comeback of the beard adorned by many of the past and of course the resurgence of body art known simply as a tattoo. Generations past would scorn individuals who possessed such work with the the classic "you'll regret that when your older" or "what you going to do when it wrinkles". There was even the taboo that a tattooed individual was to be weary of and avoided at all costs yet today we have doctors and police proud of their art work and not afraid of stigma in showing off their pieces as every tattoo be it big or small has its own story to tell. In order for your story to begin you need to have the right person to ignite that spark or passion in your vision for your blank canvas.That person for me was Derrick Docherty. He brought my vision to life, he took the time to hear what I was portraying, identifying small tweaks that were necessary but on the whole allowing my vision to flow through his gifted,artistic hands. With the modern decour and cool ambience to the studio you were made to feel as if you belonged rather than being just another client. The ease at which Derrick alleviated any fears with his quiet yet thoughtful demeanour made you forget you were about to be injected multiple times with varying degrees of pressure. Gone are the "zzzzttttt" sounds of tattoo guns of old replaced by a soft hum and each design is customised by the individual and no longer portrayed on walls with the gawking and simple point of the finger to "that one". I have no words to describe how good Derrick is but for an individual who descibes his work as "getting paid to colour in" the saying "a picture is worth a thousand words" would not even begin to describe his art work. His posts and pictures via Facebook and Instagtam will put into words which I cannot. His professiolism and dedication to his work and each of his clientele are why I would recommend his studio whether it your 1st or 40th tattoo you will receive the same dedication, patience and quality of work from the man who is good at colouring in. Of course behind every great man there is a women or in Derrick's case 2 with his supporting cast of Pauline &Tyra who go above and beyond to make you feel welcome in the studio whilst tirelessly ensuring appointments are booked, products are being advised and payments are scheduled. I cannot recommend Derrick highly enough and if you feel it is time for that new tattoo I would make sure the call would be to InkedIn Studio.

For those of you considering scalp micro pigmentation and who have haven't visited Derrick at Inkedin yet I hope my experience will encourage you to pay a visit. Firstly, Inkedin is one of the few remaining places that appears to be giving COVID-19 the full Monty with it's safety protocols.Fresh mask and overshoes provided at entrance, your phone and hands are sanitized,track and trace in full effect, health questionaire, social distancing measures pretty much everything you can think of to keep you safe.The place looks stylish and is absolutely spotless, in fact the only thing cleaner and shinier might be your head! - But that my follicly challenged friend could all change! If you have been worried about your hairline or maybe you have some head scars or something that your just not happy with then micro scalp pigmentation is a real game changer. Had a consultation with Derrick who talked me through the whole process and answered all my questions.I would need 3 sessions to achieve maximum coverage and the most natural look possible.I have had my first session and I can already see how good this procedure will look when it's finished!
