First time visiting Scarz&Barz and definitely did not disappoint. It's run by the friendliest team of people, so accommodating, my daughter said exactly the same. It's a nice studio and they have a fantastic selection of jewellery too. My Daughter was a little nervous as it's her first needle peircing but the piercer was awesome, he had really taken the time talk to us, explain and also distract too. If you're a walk in customer you may have a little wait as you will see it's very popular but the staff are so nice to chat to and there's so many cool things to look at and some nice photo albums of different peircings too you won't be bored! We won't use anywhere else from now on..Thank-you and we'll be back! Isla and Jo

Amazing experience! I highly recommend this place the owner was amazing so passionate and knowledgeable. I felt very comfortable about my daughter getting her piercing done here and so did she, also the lady working here was amazing from the minute we walked in felt very welcomed. Glad I stumbled on a little hidden gem! Will be back in the 6 week holidays for my twins having there first piercing of their ears and my other daughter having her top ear done. Booked my 8 year old in for her first ear piercing, lobes. I was looking for somewhere friendly, clean and would make her feel comfortable during her experience. Poz didn't disappoint. All the studio staff were friendly and engaging with her, made her feel at ease and during the piercing was helped to stay calm. She chose lovely little blue sparkly studs and loves them. We popped by 2 weeks later as requested to get them checked over. Top notch service for all (appropriate) ages.

Went in this morning to have both lobes pierced and Sarah was very friendly and professional, i felt comfortable the whole time i was there. After my daughter had been asking for years for her ears to be pierced I decided Scarz&Barz would be the place to go and I was not disappointed. All the staff were lovely and put my daughter at ease. Poz spoke to my daughter beforehand to make sure that's what she wanted and explained all the pros and cons to having her ears pierced and she can stop at anytime and if she wanted to just have the one done she can or both that's fine and also her choice. He said either Princess or pirate which was a great way to put it for her. She also got to hold the teddy Henry. Brilliant experience for her and she is over the moon with her earrings and tells everyone about how she held the teddy and about the whole story. I cannot recommend high enough brilliant place and glad this is the place we choose. Also they do two week check up for them also which is fantastic. Thank you to all the staff who made it a great experience for my daughter.

Went to get my first piercings in both lobes the other day. Never understood what people meant by 'a great experience with their first piercing' until I got mine there. Scarz&Barz was able to reassure my mother's anxieties and had a great convo with my piercer Poz! We went home feeling very inspired and the experience overall made my day! Myself and my fiancé visited on the 6th August 2022 for a scaffold piercing and one nipple piercing. The staff were amazing polite professional throughout. So good that we returned the following day for my fiancés other nipple piercing and for me to get both of mine done. I had thought about nipple piercings previously but was always uncomfortable with the thought of it. Poz made me feel comfortable and treated me with respect and sensitivity through the whole process. Did not feel uncomfortable once. Absolute gentleman no question. My son and his partner also come with us and had scaffold and tragus piercings done. Would recommend anyone to go to this talented and super professional for any type of piercing. Ten out of ten !

Went here to get my nose jewellery changed and whilst there Poz also corrected a wonky naval piercing which was done elsewhere. Also got a 2nd lobe. Barely felt a thing! Super friendly place to get a piercing. Poz really knows his stuff, including proper knowledge of anatomy and physiology and how the body heals. It's obvious that Poz is passionate about his work. Poz reassured my son throughout, the whole process was incredibly hygienic, with the bar being thoroughly sterilised prior to going in my son's ear, as well as the ear being thoroughly cleaned too. Best place to get a piercing in Ipswich. I'll be back for my daith soon!

Took my daughter here to get her ears pierced. I had contacted them via email beforehand and they were very polite and helpful. There was a bit of a wait before we were seen because the shop is quite popular but the waiting area was comfortable. We got personal service and patience while choosing our piercings and the gentleman who does the piercing was wonderful. He explained everything and took time to put my daughter at ease before the piercing. The process was straightforward and with no fuss. We got good aftercare information and will be returning this week for our post piercing check up.

I had my nape pierced a couple of weeks ago and had a very positive experience. I was really nervous but Poz talked everything through with me and gave me as much time as I needed to ensure I was comfortable and relaxed before beginning. He was very professional, explaining everything and reassuring throughout. The environment is very clean and everyone very friendly and welcoming. I would definitely come back if I were to have another piercing. It's great that the shop is open on Sundays but it can be quite a long wait - testament to how popular it is - so I recommend booking in advance if possible to try and reduce the time you are sitting around.

Very professional and sanitary. Had my nostril pierced here 2 weeks ago. The cleanest and quickest of all my piercings and the prices are really affordable! When I had my ears pierced a few years ago at a different place they took weeks to heal and constantly got infected and leaked, but this piercing hasn’t been infected once and I didn’t even feel it after a couple days. The cleanest heal I’ve ever seen. Poz was funny, friendly and entertaining and made me feel comfortable. He was very careful during the whole process. I highly recommend and I’ll definitely be back in the future!

I have to start of with saying this review is in no was bias due to the fact the chap who done my daughters daf said I looked too young to be her dad just a good start. Second piercing here for my daughter and it couldn't be any better this place. It's like the perfect mix of laid back being around a mates house with chat and banter but at the same time they are very serious and professional about their job. It's right up my street despite the fact I have no tattoos or piercings. Lovely place great people to be around and even got offered a biscuit how could you not love it??? Oh yeah and I even got a hug at the end.

I recently had nose pierced at Scarz & Barz . Awesome experience. I was given complete detail related to Nose piercing and aftercare. Piercer was very professional and cool person. He engaged me in the conversation during the piercing process to ignore the pain of piercing and it worked :) by the way nose piercing is not that painful it's just I was little drama queen. My sister had her nose pierced at blue banana in Newport and a couple of days later after we got home the stud had fallen out so I googled piercing shops in Ipswich and this was the top rated and it is well deserved. The receptionist was nice on the phone, everyone was really nice and welcoming, the owner had a chat with me whilst I was waiting for my sister, the jewellery was more suited to first timers than the one from blue banana, the guy (Dominic?) who repierced my sister's nose was amazing, talked her through everything before hand, talked her through everything during, calmed her down and made her feel at ease and really took the time to clean her piercing afterwards as well, I've been to 4 piercing places before this place and none of them ever took the time or care this place did, it was always with a gun and wham, bam, thank you ma'am, but they were more dilligent here, used a needle not a gun (probably because it was being repierced?) and the after care was brilliant. I genuinely can't praise this place enough. I rarely give more than 4 stars to any place but Scars and Bars was brilliant, I've even recommended this place to my cousins, 2 of which who are going be going this week and my sister's friend who also wants her nose done, if I ever woman up enough to get my seconds done I'm definitely coming back. Like I said I can't praise it enough. TL;DR really good place, welcoming, clean, professional, knowledgeable, cozy, left 100% happy, definitely recommend and will be coming back.
