Absolutely love my sleeve joe did, unbelievably talented coming up with the design for me just as I wanted. Really relaxing atmosphere whilst getting tattooed making longer sessions bearable. Would definitely recommend I know I’ll definitely be returning for more pieces.

I had a flower tattoo done by Joe. He sat down with me first to discuss my idea and adapt it into a really beautiful design. I thought as an older woman I would feel out of place in this kind of environment but Joe was very quick to reassure me that I wasn't and made the whole experience really positive and relaxed. Cannot recommend Joe highly enough. Not only for the quality of his work but the whole tattoing experience. When I first rang him to ask about what I wanted he was really supportive and gave me reassurance that what I wanted would work. He is very relaxed, will chat or just let you watch TV, makes a decent coffee and talks you through your project from start to finish. I always looked forward to a sitting and I am now really happy with the finished piece. 5 stars.

I am 20+ hours into a 3/4 sleeve tattoo at San Sakura Tattoo Leeds. My experience so far has been excellent. The studio is always spotless, looks modern and there's plenty of entertainment around to help pass those long sessions. Joe is a talented tattooist, very experienced and friendly. His feedback and advice from the beginning and through out, has meant this tattoo is turning out as great as i imagined. He even brought me a coffee when i was running late for one of our sessions! I had my first ever tattoo with Joe who put my mind at ease and helped me with the design. It was an 8 hour time piece on my leg, he was professional and always checked if I needed a break. He had plenty of media to help pass the time but we ended up chatting for most of the time. Would highly recommend him and is a great artist.

LOVE this place, I came to Joe to get a tattoo in England before I went back to America after a two week trip. he did amazing pieces for both my roommate and I, and even stayed open late to finish them. I've just completed my full colour 1/2 Dragon sleeve tattoo at San Sakura Tattoo Leeds. It's been a great experience, so much so that I've already booked in for a Tiger 1/2 sleeve. Joe is a great guy, easy to talk to, which really helps with the all day sessions, he always has great suggestions as to design and colour. The new studio is great, really clean and well layed out with plenty of entertainment, love the movies :) 5 Star review ( 6 if I could ) Can't recommend him highly enough, you won't be disappointed!!

Got my first tattoo with Joe here. He's an amazing guy with incredible talent. My idea was entirely based around Hungarian mythology and history. Trust me, he did his homework and did plenty of research before presenting an incredible piece of art. It took us two sessions to finish my tattoo but every minute was entertaining. As I was new to being tattooed, he always made it very clear what he'll be doing and thoroughly walked me through the entire process. Great communication from the start, and plenty of ways to entertain yourself during your sessions. Free access to WIFI and Netflix to make sure you're comfortable and calm. I went to see joe about having lots of stretch marks covered on my stomach and thighs which I have hated most of my life which no one else had ever seen. Joe was so lovely and made me feel at ease he said they weren’t that bad(thanks for lying joe ;)). We have since had lots of sessions, nothing is too much trouble for joe he will do anything he can to help. I now have a beautiful piece of art all across my stomach and thighs which he as custom made for my body and I can honestly say I’ve never felt so confident and sexy ;) Joe is an amazing artist,tattooists and person and I can’t recommend him enough. Since I was 16 I had a half tribal sleeve which was a dragon and lining. Over the years I grew sick of it and got some bad advice about getting it lasered and then getting a sleeve (Not Sakura) . So I started laser and was the most painful horrific experience of my life. I had some laser work done at a well known Leeds Tattooist which went septic !! I went for a consultation with Joe at Sakura and to my surprise he said he could cover my sh*% tattoo and I probably didn’t need laser in the first place !! So I wasted 14 months on laser. Roll forward 18 months . I have a full Koi sleeve done by Joe and it’s amazing . No sight of my old tired 90’s tribal and something that means something with a story behind . So say I’m happy is an understatement. Joe is a top top tattooist, patient and a class act. The plan is to get more . Defo drop him a line.
