I went here to get my three-year-old daughter’s ears pierced. As not all places pierce under 10-year-olds, I’d called in advance to check whether this place did, and I was told that yes, as long as it was the first piercing which was the case. The place was clean and the receptionists friendly. The piercing artist pierced my daughter’s first ear, upon which my daughter had some tears in her eye, understandably, as the process always hurts a little bit. I had explained to my daughter in advance what would happen and did my best to calm her down, in my language, and my daughter was fine. However at this point the artist turned to me and told me that this is the worst thing he knows, “forcing“ a child to get their ears pierced, and that he wouldn’t do it his own child, that the child should be old enough to decide. Now I know there are a lot of opinions of when, if at all, to get a child’s ears pierced when they are under ten or under 16 even, and everyone is of course entitled to their opinion. However I wasn’t expecting to get questioned about my decision by the piercing artist himself! After all I was a paying customer and had been told that this place does piercings for children too. I was shocked and asked him why is he piercing children then, if he opposes it so. He replied saying that it was the people downstairs who decided the age limit, that if it was up to him he wouldn’t do it. It seemed that he was ready to stop the process and leave the other ear without a piercing, so I didn’t say anything more, just let him do his thing as my daughter was calm and ok for her other ear to be pierced. Afterwards the artist claimed that the second ear’s piercing was a bit wonky as my daughter moved too much. I personally saw no difference and was very happy with the result and so was my daughter. At the reception I was told that paying with a debit card added an extra £2, something I hadn’t been told on the phone. The artist introduced his daughter to my daughter, who was a few years older - and who had earrings. I was so shaken by the experience that only as I was already outside did I realise I hadn’t been given any kind of cleaning instructions. So I had to call afterwards to ask for those. I ended up getting a saline solution from another tattoo/piercing shop where I also told about my experience and they were absolutely appalled. The positive thing is that my daughter’s earrings look great and she is very happy with them. But I felt truly shaken afterwards, after having been so brazenly questioned and criticised by someone I was paying for a service, and for me the whole process remains traumatic. I seriously question why someone who seems to have such strong views about piercing children, does it in the first place? Surely that is not ok on any level.

I have just had my best tattoo yet, and believe I might never go anywhere else for tattoos again. I visited A.S.K Tattoo and Piercing few days ago, on a chance they could fit me in, before I travel on next week. I was very pleased from the start as everyone was helpful and smiled unlike the other places I have been to. Explained what I wanted and they quickly explained the process. I went back the next day and the design was ready, I simply loved it, decided there and than to have it done the next day. I came in early and the artist worked on me for four hours and the rest as you say is history. Like I said before the best tattoo I have had and I know now where to go in the future. The friendliness of the place, can relax anyone instantly. so yes I will recommend them to anyone, and if you're not sure which tattoo studio to go these are the guys for you.

I recently got an ankle tattoo at ask Camden. Myself and a friend got the same tattoo and even though we arrived quite late, they had no problem staying open to do your tattoos for us. I had my tongue pierced at A.S.K Tattoo & piercing. I was really scared, but they were very comforting. I asked to look at the studios and preparation areas, checked their license, and Looked at sterilization process, saw the single used needles and all the tolls has been opened in front of me from the sterile bags.... They were very accommodating with all my request and I was really pleased with everything I checked. Very sterile, clean, friendly and helpful. The place looks great, the staff is friendly (not like some of the scary faces I've saw in most other studios I checked) I felt comfortable and safe here. My piercing was quick and just slightly painful. they provided me with after care and further instructions. This was my first piercing and I'm glad that I choose A.S.K Tattoo & Piercing. I'd recommend them and I'll return to them again.

Really great tattoo place, I have 12 tattoos in total (mostly small black symbols) and A.S.K. have done 5 of them. Each time has been quick and straightforward, walked in and had no problems. I went here for my first piercing, it was a great experience! The place was very neat and sanitary, the piercing was quick and easy, and the staff were nice and gave me a lot of advice on how to maintain the piercing. The price was also cheaper than I expected, definitely recommend going here especially if it’s your first piercing.

Clean environment and friendly staff. I had a nose piercing here- which i no longer have . I had to take it out as it still didn't heal 1 year 7 months later (even though i followed their cleaning advice). It may have been due to the angle it was pierced at (slanted). The second time i went here was the get a pair of ear lobe piercings done. It has been 11 weeks and they still have not healed, throbbing and what not. I went in to ask one of the staff to check, and he barely had a proper look and told me they're healing nicely, despite the fact i told him they still hurt and i clean them as advised. The healing time for ear lobes are supposed to be 4-6 weeks, so the fact that it's been 11 and he said "2 more weeks should be fine" is very absurd! Friendly staff but don't seem like they really know their stuff. I could just be unlucky though. Won't be going back here.

I have just come back home after 3years in London studying, since my return home friends and family have not stopped the wow factor on my tattoos. In 3years I collected about 9 tattoos and had them all done at A.S.K tattoo. From my first experience to the last visit which was only a month ago. The staff at this studio are nice and friendly, the place is spotless and clean, I had my first tattoo done by Malan he was so professional. I told him what I wanted and within an hour he had a design for me, simply put it was better than I had thought it would be, booked in to have it done the next day. The tattoo itself took about three and half hours to do and the outcome was wow. The guy is gifted and was just so pleased I went there My following tattoo was there too, only this time after speaking with Malan he suggested Joe the other artist there as this was his specialty, after another four hours I could not have been happier. It was nice how Malan suggested I go with Joe as most people would have just taken the money. So for the last few years I alternated between them, now I have a collection of tattoos that I love and others always ask where I had them done and how great they look. I cannot recommend this place enough.
