So decided to get my first tattoo and go all in with a big upper sleeve design. Manchester Ink were great at DMs on instagram. Quick replies and helping me design which artist would suit me with what I was after. Since I've had 3 full days with Dylan at Thomas Street. The guy is amazing, not just his skills but I have been a bit vague with my ideas and he has been great and helping me decide on designs. So actually the perfect artist for me for any future work. Plus we get on really well while on these long days. My upper sleeve design has turned into a full sleeve recently and more exciting work to be done. Very happy I chose Manchester Ink and Dylan, I won't be going anywhere else. (I'm not uploading a photo as the full sleeve isn't fully complete yet so wouldn't want to spoil the surprise)

As my first tattoo experience I was nervous, but the tattoo artist my friend and I had was amazing. Everything was done well, with a smile and a laugh, would definitely go again for the next tattoo :)

Receptionists in both shops were really friendly and helpful and the tattoos came out great, however Dax’s people skills weren’t to match, he came across very cold as if he was very unhappy to have us there and made us feel very uncomfortable, no conversation at all during the time we were there, not even to say hello or goodbye, no information on aftercare etc, seemed a very rushed experience like he couldn’t wait for us to leave, which brought the over all experience down, however the tattoos came our great and he is a talented artist, just needs to work on his customer skills as that’s the only part that put a dampener on this

I have been to a few other places for tattoos but this was my first experience at Manchester Ink. And what an experience it was. The place itself was very clean. Jess on reception was so lovely and made me feel so at ease. Thank you Jess! I had 3 quite intricate tattoos done in one sitting by Roman. He spent so much time finding my designs, rearranging them and adding in another design that I gave him on the spot. He was easy to talk to and friendly. When it came to doing the tattoos, he gave it his full concentration and I could see this after the first one was complete. It was just so perfect. They were all so pretty. I have seen Roman's other work and mine were pretty basic in comparison but he didn't treat them as basic, boring, line tattoos that he didnt he didnt have to concentrate on. I feel like this was my first "proper" tattoo experience. In the past, I have never been completely happy with a tattoo. I have always wondered about it afterwards. But with these ones, I cant stop looking at them. Just. So. Perfect. Thank you Roman! I cannot praise this place enough. Suffice to say I would certainly recommend Manchester Ink to others and I will definitely be going back when I find another design and booking in with Roman. Thank you so much Manchester Ink and Roman for such an amazing tattoo experience!

From the moment I arrived at Manchester ink I was in awe, the studio was upstairs and had a funky modern feel to it that I could sit and just look around for hours at. They had a hot drink and snack vending machine which is a good think if being inked for a while. Their consent form was done on a large touch screen machine which also doubled up to be able to get tattoo ideas for those that walked in wanting to book slots. Every staff member there are soo cool and extremely friendly and helpful they are 💯% on the ball checking I.d and making sure their client hasn't been drinking and also not asking for a stupid tattoo that years later will come back needing a cover up. The place is very clean and sterile in fact when I flare Ives at just before 10 it was being scrubbed. Cassie the receptionist is warm friendly and funny and all the artists are very professional and use good sterile techniques. The studio is set out in a large open room with each artists chair and work station there and to be honest it was brilliant watching the other artists work as well as mine, you could see the concentration on their faces making sure their client had their best possible work. The chairs and equipment are of good quality and you can tell they have been maintained well. The prices of the art work aren't cheap but you 100% get what you pay for and I myself will definitely come back to the studio many times for more ink. I am so in love with my tattoo and can't thank you all enough.

went to Manchester Ink yesterday for a beautiful Japanese-floral piece by Roman... What can I say? From the moment I stepped through the door, I was made to feel completely at ease, not just by Roman, but by the other members of staff also! Roman himself was extremely chilled out, funny and attentive. He put up with the fact that I'm someone who cannot sit in one position for more than 10 minutes (I was in the chair for going on 6.5 hours, so you can imagine how fidgety I was). The atmosphere was very chilled and yet professional, all of the artists had a laugh with the clients and other members of staff but could be seen constantly cleaning, hygiene is obviously of great importance in this shop. The music they play in the shop is amazing which is a great distraction when you're being stabed in the arn. The tattoo itself is absolutely stunning and a testament to Roman's talent - I couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back for more work from Roman! Highly recommended establishment!

I had a thigh tattoo done by justyna, when arriving the staff was extremely nice and friendly, justyna chatted about the design with me, and eased any doubts I may have had, the tattoo didn't even hurt or take as long as I thought she wad extremely chatty and made me feel like I was at home, the studio was warm clean and had a brilliant buzz about, I'll definitely be coming back for more work done. It was a difficult idea to capture well in a tattoo (a dyson structure) in the style I wanted, but he did a wonderful job and I couldn't be more thrilled with the result. As a tribute to my late father, it's something I will love and cherish for years to come. Many thanks to Przemek for being so talented, professional and efficient. Very welcoming reception, felt totally at ease. Had a good chat with Owen the artist about how and where it should be placed. He even adapted a bit for me that I wasn’t keen of on the original image I supplied. Pain wise was very bearable and I’m extremely happy with the finished piece. I know what you're thinking, it's impossible to feel that good from a tattoo right? But when you're standing on the beaches of Ibiza or at the peak of Mt Everest with the world at your feet and the freshest tattoo of the year on your body, you'll know it. The tattooists here are more than tattooists, they're amazing artists and creators who will make you a tattoo you'll never get bored of showing and won't be questioning for your entire life. They're also full of character so you won't feel nervous at all. Oh and afterwards, they'll wrap you up in cling-film like its a Christmas gift, except its not Christmas, and you're the gift.. to the world. Go here and get the best tattoo of your life, unless you've already been here for one, in which case get the joint-best tattoo of your life. I'll definitely be returning.

I have my 2 year Cancer Free date coming up so I wanted the word survivor on my arm and at first I was nervous but from the moment I walked in I was instantly put at ease by the incredible team there. I had an overall great experience from Manchester ink. From the friendly and quick responses on Facebook to the warm welcome in-store that made me feel at ease, especially as it was my first tattoo. They helped me with the design and ensured I was completely happy with the placement. I went for an inner forearm black line tattoo. Such a positive and professional experience was delivered by all at Manchester Ink from first contact via messenger, design consultation, arriving and finally getting the tattoo I wanted by the quiet but fantastic Przemeck. I am beyond thrilled with the cover up design he delivered leaving no trace of an awful blurred Japanese writing tattoo I had had for many years with a beautiful Mandala. He was responsive to the brief I gave and changes I wanted were no issue as well as being able to provide professional advice and what was needed for the best cover up to be achieved. I can't rate Manchester Ink highly enough. The whole experience from start to finish is impeccable. I wanted a cover up of a 20 year old tattoo and Dan was the artist for the job, and i'm so glad.... what an amazing job he did for me. Everyone there is really lovely, friendly and professional, and the studio is comfy, clean and cool! I contacted them via email first and got a really quick response, we then arranged a meeting and then an appointment. I was so nervous on the day facing a 6 hour session, but Dan and especially the receptionist, made me feel welcome, comfortable and at ease with their friendly attitudes. The design Dan sorted for me was exactly what I wanted and the next few hours passed by quite quickly as Dan worked swiftly and professionally. He's a great artist. I went to Manchester Ink yesterday to get my first tattoo and it went splendidly. Roman, the artist, has done an amazing job! Seriously, I could not have wished for a better tattoo. He was very helpful, made sure I am happy with the design, position of the tattoo and all. The staff there is also fabulous! As a first timer I was quite nervous and had a lot of basic questions, but everyone was super kind and forthcoming and really made me feel confident and comfortable. It might be a bit costly but it is all worth it. It was the best ever tattoo experience.

I first went to Manchester Ink before Christmas to discuss some ideas I had for a tattoo on my arm. I was immediately impressed with the friendliness of the staff and general appearance of the studio. Everywhere seemed clean and modern and it was very busy which filled me with confidence. I initially spoke to one of the artists about my idea and then sent in some images I had seen for him to start working on a design. On the day of the sitting there had been some slight confusion with how I wanted the tattoo design. After some time going over a few different ideas the artist was still struggling to see what I was after so he suggested I spoke to Nathan (another tattooist), who could immediately visualise what I was after and said would take over the design. Even though this meant having to re-book for another appointment a few weeks later I was happy that I was getting exactly what I wanted and the also the artist was happy doing the tattoo and not unsure. Take two of the first sitting, and the design we came up with was spot on and exactly what I was after. The tattoo was going to take 2 sittings so all the line work was done first, which looked awesome and could have passed as a finished product itself. The second sitting went just as smoothly as the first with Nathan adding colour to the initial line work. The artist I had, Nathan, is really laid back and easy to get on with which makes the whole experience that much better. It’s been Two weeks since my tattoo was completed and it looks quality. Its healed up nicely with no issues at all. I will definitely be visiting Manchester Ink again in the future for some more work. Friendly Staff Nice environment Quality Artists

Dan Leicester is awesome he's a lovely guy and so talented. His colour work is stunning. I had a full length back piece. It was a customised tattoo and it took four sittings. I planned my tattoo as a birthday present to myself and I researched tattooists whose work I liked. Manchester is a 2and a half hour journey for me so it was a big commitment but I would do it again. I am so happy with the final piece. The only thing is i...it is so good it makes the tattoo on my arm which I did like before look rubbish. I would like to go back and have it covered and joined up with Dan's. I can't recommend Manchester Ink enough. I was happy with the service and care as well because i had issues travelling and got times wrong and Dan came in when he was on a morning off. That's 5 star service Thank you Dan ☺

Ive been here for two 6 hour plus sessions, the artist I had was awesome but more relevant to this review the studio was relaxed, professional, and fun to be in for the time I was there. All the artists are fantastically gifted in there own styles just check there website, there were four artist working while i was there and they were all very professional and clearly good at there jobs while being friendly and welcoming people. Whether you want a small one off tattoo or a larger piece I would recommend Manchester ink to anyone. Just talk to the receptionist(s), (Ive met two) they are also very friendly and professional and can direct you to the most suitable artist for whatever style of tattoo you want. I wouldn't go anywhere else for a tattoo in manchester, really good studio with a really chilled yet professional vibe. couldn't ask for more.

I decided to get a tattoo for my 18th birthday and as a first timer, I didn’t know where to go so I was recommended to go here. I was very nervous but I managed to relax as I was getting my tattoo done. The staff here are so welcoming and I love how they are dedicated to only putting something you will love onto your body that will last forever. I had a really great experience with Manchester Ink when I booked in for a small tattoo. The staff were really friendly both on Facebook, the phone and in person. My artist was great too and made sure I was happy with the tattoo and advised me on some small changes about the size. The only issue I had (and it is minor) is when I paid a deposit over the hone I was charged £21 instead of £20 which I noticed after my tattoo was done. If there was a debit card fee then that's understandable but I wish I had been told beforehand.

Kept it short, simple and sweet with me, as I was nervous and gave me a break when necessary. I basically screamed the place down due to it being my first tattoo, but nobody minded and even got to laugh about it with the other customers waiting too. Can't wait to go back and get another one down with them (I'll try not to scream next time). Would definitely recommend going here, for one I've heard so much about the place and I've even been to their sister store across the road where I've had some piercings done; sometimes you see familiar employee faces and just get the feeling of comfort knowing how great of a team they are. They also have another tattoo store just before the printworks where some of the other staff work and you get the same friendly service there too. Amazing service from start to finish. I had Greg tattoo me a piece for my fiancée and it’s something I’m more than happy to have dedicated to her. It was one of his many well designed pieces done at a very reasonable price considering the time and effort that goes into them. The Oldham street studio I was in is well lite from natural light thanks to the huge floor to ceiling windows. As a guy who been tattooed in a few places, this is a far better environment than the dingy back street studios you can get. We live overseas and wanted to get tattooed at Manchester Ink - booking in was easy and professionally done, deposit was taken over the phone (no sending envelopes full of cash) and quick replies to emails which was immensely appreciated given that we had to book travel. The shop is easy to get to in the city centre, and has a relaxed atmosphere with a waiting area just outside the cutting floor - we felt welcome and the artists going about their business were focused on what they were doing. What I mean is that in some studios I often feel like I'm getting in the way while I'm waiting, but MI was real friendly and professional, and generally let you hang around. When my girlfriend was in getting tattooed I went off somewhere else, but (maybe ask first to be certain) I got the impression I would've been welcome to stick around and keep her company, as other clients seemed to be doing. We were both tattooed by Roman, and we are both so pleased with his work! It honestly turned out better than I could've hoped. I was booked in for a full day, but unfortunately i didnt get a full days worth of tattooing due to a couple of interruptions - that said, without me even asking, the shop refunded part of the money I'd paid immediately. A real sign of integrity and - again - professionalism. So all in all, no pretension, talented and focused artists, easily organised, good communication and sick tattoos... thanks for a great experience :) 5 stars obviously.

Don't get me wrong, I like my tattoo & at the start when I'd just walked in they were lovely. But it was really hard to get conversation out of the tattoo artist and I felt he was quite aggressive tattooing me. Anyway, after it was finished i was polite and then the receptionist told me to pay the full price even though I'd already paid 70 off. Then she got really rude when I mentioned that I'd paid a deposit and started to get snarky and rude, when I proved I was right she just completely ignored me and took the money off me. I'm not one to write reviews however..... Manchester Ink Rocks, I had been wanting a tattoo for some years and finally after hearing about this place from so many people and seeing the art work for myself I thought I'd give it a go. Unfortunately I had a back operation and had to cancel a few appointments and rebook. from day one they were all so very accomadating and understanding. A few months later when I arrived for my first consultation it had a great atmosphere and my chosen artist took time out to go though my design and gave me great ideas on how to tweak my ideas .I left feeling excited and felt confident that I'd chosen the right design and I was in the safest of hands. The day of my tatto came and He talked though the entire process and I was made to feel very relaxed. I'm a little scared of needles sounds a bit odd coming from a 6ft5 BFG.... but Since starting my sleeve Ive had lots of people stop me from walking down the street to bars and shops asking me where I got my tattoo from, I honestly didn't expect the detail to look so amazing it really is a piece of true art. Getting a tatto has made me feel more confident I'm truly greatful to Dylan whom tattooed me and all the rest of the crew for making my experience so Great ! I'd never had a tattoo before, and I was nervous, something that might've showed in how I showed up very early for both appointments. But the staff, and the receptionists were very kind about this, and friendly. I felt reassured I'd picked a place I at least felt consistently welcome in. The tattoo I wanted, was something meant to remind me of family and to be personal; and I came to Przemeck with only a few ideas about what could maybe be. I hadn't even looked up tattoo designs or images for inspiration or a better idea beforehand, not having known such a thing might be really helpful. All the same, Przemeck was lovely and dealt very well with my lack of research and my vague ideas, and we came to an idea I was really excited for. Cue a time jump forward to the next appointment, and I showed up, as mentioned before, incredibly early. Even more so this time, because of the rail strikes happening and not wanting to be late. But this gave me a chance to talk some and relax a little, with the receptionist that day. Unfortunately I didn't get her name, but she has a lovely mermaid tattoo on one arm if that helps identify her to her boss. She was incredibly nice and while she did her morning work, she talked with me some while she was at it, and helped me feel further at ease. I can attest to the cleanliness of the place first hand, since I showed up so early that she was in the process of thoroughly cleaning everything. The tattoo design Prsemeck had drawn up for me looked amazing, and I was instantly in love with it. He'd took a very personal reason and what had originally been a very vague idea or two, and he'd designed a gorgeous tattoo from it. And so naturally, I said yes. Przemeck applying the stencil and checking it looked right, even making a correction to the line of the drawn needle, since the curve of my arm had thrown it off from looking straight. Personally I'd worried whether I wouldn't do well with the pain of getting a tattoo, and Przemeck checked after doing a really tiny bit how I was (like a couple of seconds long). Something I very much appreciated all the same, from it being as said above, my first tattoo. Thankfully it seems my worries about the pain level were void, still it was honestly such a wonderful first experience to have with the process of getting a tattoo, and I'm incredibly glad I went to Manchester Ink. Tldr? Staff were friendly, accommodating and made a nervous first-timer feel at ease. The place was neat, clean and nicely lit up. And Przemeck did a stunning job and I'm so very happy and touched with what he designed and the work he did.

I went to Manchester Ink yesterday for a beautiful Japanese-floral piece by Roman... What can I say? From the moment I stepped through the door, I was made to feel completely at ease, not just by Roman, but by the other members of staff also! Roman himself was extremely chilled out, funny and attentive. He put up with the fact that I'm someone who cannot sit in one position for more than 10 minutes (I was in the chair for going on 6.5 hours, so you can imagine how fidgety I was). The atmosphere was very chilled and yet professional, all of the artists had a laugh with the clients and other members of staff but could be seen constantly cleaning, hygiene is obviously of great importance in this shop. The music they play in the shop is amazing which is a great distraction when you're being stabed in the arn. The tattoo itself is absolutely stunning and a testament to Roman's talent - I couldn't have asked for more and will definitely be back for more work from Roman! Highly recommended establishment!

***Craig Hicks - What an Artist *** After reviewing a number of so called “top tattoo studios” in and around Manchester and Warrington, I decided to give Manchester Ink a go. So in the last 3 weeks I paid them a visit and had the pleasure of meeting Craig. Now whilst he may not be the most cheerful and talkative guy, that’s according to the odd review, I on the other hand would disagree and in fact praise him for his invaluable input, attention to detail, thoroughness and all round approach, not to mention his outstanding talent. (...and he even bought me a bar of chocolate 🤣)... Prior to my booking we had a short consultation to run my idea past him and on the day we had a re-cap. He listened to my idea and I listened to his advise. We then made some subtle changes to my original idea which I appreciated as this made the artwork unique to me and more modern. He then went away and produced a draft that quite frankly exceeded my expectations. In fact my wife and I didn’t think it was possible to translate the idea onto my chest. Having then patiently sat in the chair for 4 1/2 hours, hey presto, there it was in all its glory and perfectly drawn (albeit slightly more painful than a “felt tip pen”) In summary, I urge anyone looking for realism in their idea to speak to Craig but please be open to change and listen to his advise, I did and was really thankful 😀. As for the overall experience, it was quite frankly spot on from making the appointment, through to booking my next session. ***Definite thumbs up from me 👍*** All the best guys, Dave J

i phoned a couple of months ago to discuss having a portrait tattoo done of my mother who passed away in January. I booked dan for the day on sunday the 16/07/17 . I got a text the day before to remind me. I got their for 10am. the receptionist was really friendly we had a good natter. she rang dan to let him know I was their. I arrived shortly after and we chatted over what I wanted. he got everything ready and we got started. I was amazed at how fantastic my tattoo was I'm over the moon. dan is a true artist what a gift he has and I know what I'm talking about I have already got 6 tattoos. we finished early after about 4 hours. on my way out the receptionist came after me and gave me some money back because I didn't have the full day. so to sum it up this studio is upto now the best ive been to. thankyou so much dan for all you did.
