What to say about Blue Lotus 🥰... Well it was one of the loveliest days out I have had is ages, getting my beautiful septum piercing was an amazing bonus. The team at blue lotus are the most friendly, caring and wondering group of people you could hope to meet! They made me feel beyond welcome and calm, and eased all of my nerves. The place has such a great vibe, it is beautiful inside and the piercing team want to make you feel as comfortable as possible and answer any questions you have at all (and trust me I had a lot!). It may be the priciest piercing place, but it is SO worth it, best piercing experience I have had. I already know I am going here for every piercing from now on. Not only is the service incredible, but the jewellery is beautiful and there are free check ups and so much advice!

I got my nose (re)pierced here (I lost a nose stud and the hole closed up 10 years ago!). They were very clean and professional and very friendly people. The advice on aftercare was very thorough - way more so than last time I had it done. Im quite anxious about needles but they informed me of every step before it happened and she was very patient waiting for me to take a lot of deep breaths before doing the piercing. Wouldn't hesitate to go back there.

Got my nipples pierced by nicole and as soon as i walked through the door my nerves were a lot calmer even off looking at the place, so clean and was greeted with a smile. Recommended by a friend, I visited for the first time to get my helix piercing done the other day. Completely forgot to bring my ID, which meant I had to come back, luckily they had a slot available the next day. They were very understanding about this, despite it being my fault! Went on Thursday for a helix piercing. I'd been recommended to go here by a colleague. Nici done the piercing, I don't like needles and I nearly walked, but she was really patient with me, listening to what I was saying and giving great advice. They are extremely hygienic. I ordered two bars online to replace my old ones and it shipped very quickly. Not only that but I was pleasantly surprised to see that it came with the bars in a case, alcohol wipes, sanitizer for your hands, sterile lube for easing piercings into the hole, a pamphlet on how to change out piercings and also a bunch of stickers. My partner and I both got piercings here, I got my first piercing done by Christy who was very bubbly and more than happy to answer any questions. My partner was also with me, and instantly booked for his second and third lobe to be done, along with a helix with Christy again. He was super relaxed and couldn't be happier with his new piercings! First time coming here after a friend recommended to come and get a piercing. The staff were fab and has a lot of knowledge about piercing and the aftercare. The best place to get pierced in the north east (also the UK 👀), they are sooo friendly and lovely in there, I love going there. They are clued up to the best standards in body piercing so you know your in safe hands. I've got many piercings here and get excited to go back. So I wanted to get 2nd and 3rd lobe piercings and I picked Blue Lotus because of the fabulous reviews, and I must say they were not wrong and my experience at Blue Lotus could not have been any better. Going in I was very nervous and was met by the wonderful Emma on the desk who was so lovely and helpful, and chatted with me while I was waiting for my jewellery to be sterilised which really helped with the nerves. Christy did my piercing and there are not enough adjectives in the English language to describe how fantastic she was. Aside from being so friendly and bubbly, she explained everything at every step and there wasn’t any rushing so I felt really calm. The atmosphere here is just so warm and friendly, but at the same time everything was so professional and perfectly done. I couldn’t recommend Blue Lotus more highly. Worth every single penny you get world class service and the best after care advice and support, you can feel the care radiating from Nici she has such a passion and skill I've always felt welcomed and safe. There truly no silly question about pericing whatever you need to ask ask her and you'll always get quality advice. I know am rambling but this review comes years in the making like I said I have never went anywhere else and I never will the service is so good oh and the banter no one will make you feel more comfortable or secure. So ok its getting long winded now and I am sure there so much more I could say as a life long customer but no words can ever truly justify the experience you get when you book here. Quite simply these guys are the only ones I trust coming near me with a needle. The level of professionalism they show and the warmth from every member of staff from the second you walk through the door is something every business should learn from. If you need to travel to book an appointment, do it. It's worth it to experience how this type of place should be run. I've had 3 piercings done by Nicci now and I'd personally book with her time and time again not only because of the service, but also the quality of the work. The staff at Blue Lotus were so incredibly friendly and informative - they really know what they're doing and will explain it all simply so you're aware of everything about your chosen piercing. They do a fantastic range of top notch jewellery / hardware for your piercings too, so you can come out looking fabulous regardless on what your piercing is. Highly recommended. Please be aware - they aren't cheap, but cheap most often isn't good and you really do want good when it comes to piercings.

Booked an appointment over the phone and they were really helpful in finding a date and time. I also got email updates if the time had to be shifted (only by about 5-10 minutes, and always later, not earlier). When I turned up the staff were really friendly, and they obviously knew their stuff from the responses I heard them giving to other customers' queries. I had a PA piercing done by a guest piercer, Matt Masterson, who is from the area but works in Canada now. He sized up the jewellery and marked the area selected in consultation with me. It wasn't my first piercing, but my previous ones were all retired and it had been a good while, so there was some nerves in anticipation of the pain. Matt put me at ease, however, and all went really well, feeling nothing during the procedure but a slight pinch. Afterwards however, a combination of the anxiety beforehand and the rush of finally having a piercing again made me a bit light headed, but Matt made sure I was OK before I got up again. Aftercare advise was good and best of all they encourage you to return for a free checkup a few weeks after, which I did. Ill definitely be heading back there in the future, hopefully for a "dolphin ladder" if they deem it possible!

Nice and clean so a good start. The gentleman that pierced me never shut up. By the time I came out my ears were ringing. This may be a bonus to some and help relax them, but not what I go for. I would definitely use them again but would ensure I had a different person doing the piercing.

You might be alarmed that the store is semi-underground, or that most of the staff have more ink than a painting, but the people who you meet are the most professional in a field with so many seedy characters. Any questions you have they will answer simply, any after-support you need they will provide, and any attempt you make to work around their age rules will be flat out refused (a good thing in their field). went in on Saturday and had my bar changed on my forward helix as it was too big and effecting the healing process. I can now say that ear is no longer sore thanks so much. However my tragus which I also had changed I felt was too small, I was advised it shouldn’t have room to move, only problem is that ear is now really sore and can’t get it out to put my old back in. Emailed the shop so hopefully someone will help me soon. The staff are lovely so I’m sure helping me have a bigger bar won’t be a problem.. Went in today and had my draith done again. I came here to have my nose screw changed to a labret as my original piercer (diff studio) put in a screw and I got a hideous blister due to the movement. The staff were ever so friendly, helpful and non judgemental. They helped me choose a new piece of jewellery and fit it for me. They have beautiful titanium jewellery to view and purchase. Best place to go for any of your body modification needs! I think that anyone who says that the service and professionalism is poor needs to tune up their own attitude. Sometimes the shop gets very busy because of demand and the desk staff are very helpful, make you laugh (they are funny looking) and very capable. I LOVE THE FREAKY CREW. Nothing but good things to say about the Blue Lotus team. I went in last week with a friend of mine who was getting his ears punched by nicci and I was truly blown away by the level of knowledge and professionalism the team displayed. So after seeing how well my friends punching went, I decided to head in afew days later to get my lip pierced and had the absolute pleasure of being seen my Seb. Anyone feeling a bit nervous about their piercing needn't worry as Seb put my mind at ease straight from the get go and couldn't of been any more helpful. Unfortunately a couple of days after my lip piercing (last night), the bar came out in my sleep. So today I headed back into the shop to ask for some advice on how best to clean the hole in my lip. I had no expectations of a refund and blamed no one but myself for losing the bar as I'm a pretty restless sleeper. The lady I spoke to at the desk (so sorry I didn't catch your name) couldn't of been nicer and immediately refunded me. After inspecting the hole Seb offered to put another bar in for me which I declined as I wasn't confident I wouldn't end up doing the same thing twice. So I was given a voucher for different piercing which I used today and Seb pierced my nose. I couldn't be happier. Every one at the shop was brilliant and they genuinely couldn't of done anymore for me. Whole heartedly recommend Blue Lotus and I wouldn't go anywhere else

I've had several piercings done here (tragus, anti-tragus, industrial, tongue) and all have been done very well! All the piercings have come with excellent information about aftercare. Any problems I've had with a piercing (such as keloids) have been seen to with great advice about how to fix them. The staff are really lovely and helpful; the studio is really clean too.
