I really appreciate that they spend the time to really understand what I am trying to achieve in the design and what will, and importantly, what won’t work. I originally approached Laura back in Feb 2020 but due to various lockdowns and other dramas, I didn't get in to see her until this week. She kept in regular touch over this time and couldn't have been more helpful when it came to scheduling something in. Dan at Rock Steady has just done my first tattoo and I am utterly delighted with it. From when I first contacted him to discuss my design he has been absolutely brilliant, especially during the challenges COVID-19 is currently presenting. Dan listened to my ideas and designed something that exceeded my expectations. His communication was great, and the studio have a really well-prepared procedure for filling out consent forms prior to your appointment. On the day of my tattoo I was nervous but relaxed quickly in the lovely, friendly atmosphere of the studio. I felt totally safe, the hygiene is incredible and the extra measures in place for COVID are very reassuring and safe without stifling the vibe. I chatted with Dan whilst he did my tattoo and also with Leni who had a client on the other side of the studio. I was made to feel really welcome and the professionalism and talent of everyone is excellent. Having never had a tattoo before I wasn’t sure how I’d find the experience but I absolutely loved it, in large part down to the attitude of the staff at Rock Steady. I was booking from the U.S., and everything from scheduling, paying the deposit and working out the design was so easy and such a dream. She was so kind and friendly, putting me at ease and letting my husband and our niece hang out and chat as well. Laura recently did a beautiful tattoo for me over my mastectomy scar, which I am delighted with beyond belief. It was my first tattoo so I didn’t know what to expect but from designing it, helping me feel at ease during the process and her excellent aftercare, I can’t rate the experience and the end result highly enough. I had very few definite ideas about what I wanted, and sent Laura just a few images I had liked but Laura drew the most beautiful piece which considered my body shape and scar position and evolved over the 4 sessions it took to have it done. I went into the studio looking for a cover up from a disastrous tattoo years ago (when I was young). The studio itself was very inviting and light, perfect view of the ground below and a very welcoming atmosphere. I was greeted by Laura who was just wonderful at listening to what I wanted and why I was there. She took a picture of the area that needed covering up and I described what I would like. I paid a very small deposit there and then to enable Laura to go ahead and design. Within 4 weeks I had the design which I tweaked with no hesitation. The day finally came and I couldn't have felt more relaxed. I was a bit nervous but Laura and her husband Leni made everything so easy. The first session was 5 hours of ink, which was long but it didn't feel at all boring or dull, there were giggles a plenty and a truly pleasurable experience, (considering the uncomfortable situation). I was offered drinks and sweets and was made to feel right at home. With such long sessions, I was asked every half hour or so, if I wanted a break, so great care and attention is given to how people might feel. My next session was 2 weeks later and again, it felt like I was visiting old friends, the atmosphere is just so relaxed and Laura and Leni make a wonderful team! I cannot recommend this studio enough, from the price, design (all custom design, so true talent is displayed here), environment, equipment, comfort and overall experience, so much so I am going to get another old tattoo shaded because I trust them entirely to do a wonderful job. If you are looking for a new design or cover up, this is definitely the place to go. I definitely recommend Rock Steady over any tattoo studio in the local area.

One stop for any tattoo design. If you're going go get your first tattoo then I strongly suggest that Rock Steady is your only destination. The most important thing as per my understanding is capturing the expectation of the person who wants to get the tattoo and the design has to match those expectations. Rock Steady nailed it. I love these guys, in a moment of football inspired madness, I wanted a BHAFC club badge tattoo. I contacted them via e-mail and was surprised to receive a negative response, they were not interested in doing work like that. I relayed this to my wife who said, reply with my wish for a wren with forget me nots, in memory of a friend who passed away 25 years ago. The response was amazing, just the unique thing that these guys were interested in.
