Got my first piercing yesterday (Helix) and the staff were really professional and courteous. They took time to make sure I was comfortable and reassure me and when I called back the next day with a query they couldn't have been more helpful. I got my nose pierced and my daughter had her septum pierced by Karis. Highly recommend her. She put us both at ease making it a quick, easy and fairly painless experience. Both piercing have healed well with no problems. We will both be going back for more piercings.

Very quick service, and the person who pierced me, I think their name was Karis, was absolutely lovely and made the whole experience so much better. I was told how to treat my piercing and recommended the best cleaning solution as I had no idea. Really like my piercing and will definitely go back.

Very happy with my piercings - clean and professional. I was a bit surprised they went to use a gun to pierce my lobes and I had to ask for a needle instead. Other than that, the staff were lovely and informative. Would definitely go back.

I've been here twice in the last four weeks. Once with my daughter to have her ears pierced and then again to have my nose pierced. It was the first piercing for both of us. Both piercers were great: they gave us time and put us at ease and the actual piercings were quick, careful and pretty painless. We were given great advice about aftercare too. We have been healing well. We are both very happy!

My daughter had her septum pierced here, clean studio, professional and well informed service, though, could do with being a little more friendly and welcoming. One of the balls fell off the same day of piercing which frustratingly took a good few hours trying to get back on as so fiddly. Piercing is healing well and daughter is extremely happy with it. 👍

I’ve so far had 4 piercings in the York shop because it’s the best for piercings! It’s always clean and my piercings have healed perfectly every time! Every time my piercer has been someone I believe to be called Marcus who is always so lovely as well! :)

(pre-Covid) My friend and I went to get tongue piercings from Marcus. He was extremely professional and patient with both of us. He explained the process, gave us time to ensure the piercing was in the right place as we desired, and did an excellent job piercing both of us. The studio was absolutely spotless and very pleasant. He also advised us on questions we had after the piercings were done. Mine has now fully healed and it is perfect - most of the time I don't even notice it's there! Would highly recommend, my new favourite place in York to get pierced! :)

My wife had used Silver Lining in Leeds been happy so we booked our daughter in there for her first ear piercings - however there was some kind of protest on in Leeds that day that caused disruption so we headed over to York instead. A really pleasant experience all round and the chap doing the work was really friendly and put my daughter at ease. He was a self confessed perfectionist and really took his time getting everything just right.

EDIT : I emailed about advice on my seriously infected ear (I was on the max painkillers / antibiotics before hospital as the piercing disappeared into my skin) I didn't receive a response after stating I wasn't in York, so was left to it! I ended up getting a bigger bar put in by another shop who said the original bar was too small and that was the problem. Ask for bigger jewellery to be put in, incase you swell up x100 Really happy. Will be back. Very friendly and professional. Thanks :)
