From booking to drop off the service was perfect. The lady on the phone when booking was polite, efficient and professional. The driver was friendly, efficient, on time and explained his plan for a difficult drop off location so I knew why he would be taking a certain turning. The car was beautiful and super clean. Made my journey enjoyable and luxuriously comfortable. I was transporting a cat to his vet and he even seemed really relaxed and happy too!

I've used them twice in the last 3 weeks for my travels. The call centre staff are quick to answer, friendly and happy to help. My first driver was great, welcoming and friendly even explaining the route as there was a diversion in place. Paid by card no bother at all. My second journey driver not so much. He told me that it said I was paying cash, which I hadn't been asked about when I booked, he seemed perturbed when I said I was paying by card so I felt obligated to stop by a cash machine en route.

I use Rainbow City Taxis regularly as does my daughter. We have done for years and use no other company. This is mainly because the service is first class every time. The tracking app is brilliant. A lot of time and investment is involved in ensuring you deliver a first class service to your customers. My daughter even once arranged a pick up from the airport. Her flight was delayed yet there was still a car there for her when she arrived. Thank you.

I've had the privilege of being picked up by some very amazing, friendly drivers @Rainbow City Taxis. So I had to leave a review. Honestly so grateful for the amazing service. It's rare to get these days. I got picked up by a Tesla today. I was shocked when I saw it but it wasn't the Tesla that made the service, it was the way I was treated in the vehicle. Keep up the good work @Rainbow City Taxis, you've got some amazing drivers on your team!

The taxi driver, Gary, was extremely helpful in assisting me to walk over the ice, on pickup & dropoff, & very good in negotiating traffic problems to get me right to the door of Serenity hair salon in Crown Street. He was also very pleasant & efficient. The second driver, John, could not park near the salon, but came to collect me from there. Again, he was of great help over the ice at each end of the journey, & most pleasant & efficient. I have been using Rainbow City taxis regularly since 2014, & their service is always very good, & on most occasions, excellent. The tracking link makes life so much simpler as regards route & time of arrival. Thank you for your service, Rainbow.

I’ve been a regular rainbow customer for many years and usually they are spot on. The last few weeks they at rarely on time it’s not the drivers at fault mostly cause example today I booked a few hours in advance for a taxi at 9.30am I phoned just after 9.30am to see if it would be much longer I was told 5 minutes it was about to clear in area a blatant lie as the driver never got the order till 9.38 it shows on there machine and it’s not the first it’s been same over the last few weeks I think maybe the receptionists need new systems that actually work so when you have appointments your late for and then can’t be seen for months when your car has been booked hours in advance or the day before. Excluding multiple times over last few weeks they are a decent service and I hope it gets back to that asap

After a very long journey from the south and missing my connecting train the driver not only got me home safely but reassured me regularly. The roads were not the best but he drove carefully and even stopped to check on 2 drivers who were stuck. He then made sure I got in my home safely. Although there was a shortage of cars converted for the use of the disabled, your operator did her very best to source a cab & we didn't have to wait long. The driver was courteous and cheerful and gave us the option of going the quickest way or one without road humps. As the disabled person experiences pain when crossing humps this was very helpful. During our conversation the driver showed great empathy & understanding of the needs of the disabled and is a credit to the taxi industry.

Also the bill increased by 60p on reaching the destination while card machine was being taken out for payment On asking. Got told it has been there always as phone call charge. I am a Normal person (no learning difficulties) but I have mobility issues and other non visual disabilities and often feel uneasy, The Taxi driver made me feel very relaxed and comfortable, we chatted the whole journey which not all drivers do nowadays, I ordered a pick up & wait & return, and in the past other drivers have complained and moaned to me about it but he was very kind and told me to take my time that he would be there waiting when I was ready. He took the quickest root there and back (which not all drivers do, I take this journey often and know what it should cost) I tipped the driver just over £5 which he didn't want to except so I left it on the seat. I wish more drivers were like this one. I was having a bad day and now I'm sitting smiling. Thank you

Excellent service at any time of day. Very friendly staff on the phone. I’ve never had to wait for someone to answer. Taxis always arrive on time. All drivers accept card payment. I really like that you get a confirmation text message of a booking too - peace of mind knowing that they have the correct time and address!

This is an improvement notice. I waited at the point I was told to wait in the airport, there was a gentleman next to me. I kept an eye on my phone to track the taxi. It said your taxi is here. So I put my phone away and was talking to the man- I couldn’t see a taxi. Then the man said my taxi is coming now- his name is xxx . I said that’s funny so is mine. We compared screens - same man. Taxi picked him up not me. Apparently I didn’t answer my phone - which I hadn’t heard therefore the taxi was cancelled. So at 1am I was left waiting for another- if I had been told that they phone in order to verify you and you have to answer I would have kept my phone out! The gentleman who did pick me up- was lovely and explained the airport charges, so not a reflection on him. Inform your clients of essential steps!

I've never had a single problem with any drivers as I've been getting daily taxis lately they have all be so helpful. But today he was nice but wasn't very helpful especially when I'm not well I got my baby into the car and put wheels in the boot. But he stood there and watched me struggle to get the wheels out the boot all while I had my baby in her seat unit in my other hand so I struggled badly. I'm now officially feeling worse and dizzy

Just thought I'd update my review. Operators' approx wait time is usually just right and of course there is the tracker facility on the app which is accurate and I've never had a problem with. Always have great chat with drivers. It is a very important local business and is respected in Aberdeen and has been my go to taxi company for decades. That in itself speaks volumes. I booked a taxi from the airport a week ago for 17:00. Unfortunately I had to wait for 50 minutes until it finally arrived. Exactly the same thing happened last time, 6 months ago. Would expect more punctuality when I pre-order a taxi a week before. The driver was great!

I needed a taxi at short notice to take me to the ferry terminal with my 10 month old puppy. I was advised a taxi would be with me in 30 minutes and one arrived within 15 minutes which was a bonus. The driver was fantastic. She helped me put my luggage into her car and made a fuss of my puppy. At my destination, the ferry terminal, she got a trolley for me and helped load it. The fare was very reasonable and it was so convenient being able to pay with my card instead of having to find a cash machine to get money out. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone who needs a taxi in Aberdeen.

Dependable, efficient taxi ride from outskirts of Aberdeen to Aberdeen train station. Good advice from taxi operator on timing to catch a train foresaw poor weather conditions. Very comfortable and pleasant driver. Would definitely use again.

Always spot on time and on most occasions, the drivers are very pleasant to speak with. Continual updating of the system and the organising of pick up times is always done really well over the phone. A suggestion that could perhaps be beneficial for existing customers who use these services regularly, could be incorporating a monthly/weekly billing scheme, for those with a busy schedule and going to areas with poor card machine/network signal. This could promote service provider/client trust and establish reliability. With pre-arranging payments, or with saved bank account details/direct debits, this would save time throughout the week with payments and reduce the need for a driver to ask a client to leave valuable belongings in the car amidst on-going trips, for reassuring their return. With some occasions where trust has been lost, due to clients failing to pay and not keeping their word, this has sadly and seemingly disrupted trustworthiness of all clients. Actions from drivers who reflect their lack of trust in others and impose these views on us, can unintentionally be very hurtful, as the actions of others are beyond our direct control and do not display a true reflection of each individual person nor our moral differences. Other than this though, I've not ever had a major problem and these are just some suggestions that I thought would be good. They are my favourite cab company in Aberdeen.

Used rainbow for years, apart from when been busy always been decent service. Had to use in emergency to collect a prescription, after mix up with first driver not realising he had to go into chemist to collect, on phoning back the controller sorted asap and driver first class just prior to chemist closing. Its not how start its how you recover if a hiccup.

During the week taxi services are perfect but..... Friday and Saturday after 5pm absolutely terrible, for being the biggest taxi service in Aberdeen I'd of expected more Rainbow taxi's on the road. The operator gaurentied to either say 2hours until next available taxi or were not taking anymore bookings. My issue is there will be loads of taxis on the road queued at taxis ranks on and off union street, you more than like able to wave one down on any of the main streets. Obviously Rainbow taxi drivers don't want to work weekends, if that's the case is there not an option to use an app and use all them other taxi drivers waiting for a fare at the ranks. I'm sure you could come to some agreement with these taxi drivers about deducting a % or add to the fare a few pounds. Just an idea.

Taxi drivers always good and over polast few months which have been the worst in my life they have cheered me up. I got one outside City Hotel so I hadn't phoned so not sure who he worked for. I couldn't even walk.to bus stop as I had overdone it. He had a big white taxi with sliding doors, white shirt silvery styled platinum hair just like mine and we had a long chat and he carried my bags in. He was called Mike stays somewhere behind Marks abd Spencer in Stoneywood. Divorced before covid. I won as mine walked out on me after 48 yrs marred 50 yrs together. He said I needed a good laugh at the bingo. Said I had never been. I said well you know where I stay put a note through my door. Jane, 16 Ashwood place. Once again NO Airport taxi to be got Sunday 13 15 waited 45 mins while I waited there must have been a dozen taxis leave the Airport empty. Got fed up waiting so I phoned Rainbow taxi was there in10 minutes Great service. I believe there is a green light system for when there is no taxis waiting. Who ever controls it should be shot.

Bug with app. When you prebook, enter in the time and date; then add notes it resets the time and date and reverts to an ASAP booking. Annoying as you can very easily book a taxi for now when you are trying to prebook one. Other than that small issue, easy to deal with and pay for. Many thanks
