Usually I have had great service from Peterhead Taxis they are prompt and reliable however my most recent experience has soured my thoughts on the company slightly. I booked a taxis to take me to the airport using the online booking and this was confirmed by email, it came to the day of collection and 5 minutes past collection time still no taxi so I phoned and they had no note of my booking. They did dispatch a driver and he arrived within 10-15 minutes but it added stress to my day that I didn't need when I had prebooked. We did arrive on time but that is beside the point it was later than planned. I also noticed the driver didn't wear a seat belt the whole journey to the airport. This is obviously a matter for the driver but it didn't exactly make me feel safe if something had gone wrong as I was sitting right behind him. Again a taxi was booked for the return journey and I phoned the day prior to confirm. On leaving the airport 15 minutes after the flight arrival time there was no taxi waiting so again I phoned and was advised the driver was outside the airport 2-3 minutes away. We had to wait around 10 minutes for the driver to arrive. Again the driver didn't wear a seat belt for the whole journey. I think in future I'd be happy to continue to use the firm for local runs but I may think twice about booking them for airport runs again. Given the two experiences I've had. I can't fault the price quoted for the journeys as this was reasonable and the drivers were both friendly.
