R. x.I have had this driver Raymond Mayer a good few times and every time we have a conversation, there’s never any silence and the journey just goes on for like 2 seconds because of how great the chatting is. Normally I’ve had a few bad experiences with dragon with some drivers being exceptionally rude. But Raymond is an absolute credit to dragon, and is definitely their best driver partner. He even remembers things I’ve said to him before and asks how they’re going, he takes an interest in his customers and provides excellent customer service. And good customer service is always served best with good chat and a smile. You’ll always have that with this driver. If you ever get him you’ll be well chuffed. Have a chat with him, he’s great! If I could have him as my personal taxi driver every time I would! Hope you had a wicked Christmas and an even better new year dragon taxi staff! excellent service.

Yes, I would recommend them. On Wales at Home rugby days, however, don't expect the same service. Not their fault.. they often have very short notice of which roads are to be closed and try to do their best!
C.I only use two of the taxi companies in Cardiff. This is one of them, because after two decades of practice I know who’s reliable! Dragon taxis are always on time (if not a little early), cabs are always clean, and drivers are always pleasant. I also love that they offer a safe pick-up service for Cardiff Met students - absolutely brilliant idea and well done for helping keep the young’uns safe.

N. C.I've used Dragon for a while and found them to be okay, but the most recent journeys I've taken with them have been incredibly expensive. If you order through the app, they use a special meter on their phone and that meter goes up by time instead of distance - I think it went up 10 pence roughly every 15/20 seconds. A journey that cost me £8.50 on a meter with a different company a few days prior cost me £13 with Dragon!!

J.Usually dragon are spot on but today I was told my taxi was here but when I checked tracker he was around another st parked up when I phoned it went to answer phone so I phoned office they said he’d picked us up. I can’t fault the office or the operator she was helpful and very understanding and sent another car which arrived straight away this is the only reason I gave four stars instead of five . I. L.I was confused about paying. Nothing was said when I booked the taxi. Then I had a text saying I should pay by airpay. I tried this and am fairly sure it didn’t work then when I arrived the driver said I had to pay cash. It was lucky I had some.

a. w.Dragon taxis used to be really good but as of late alot of the driver ask me to meet them at a different location saying can't find my address. When I get in the taxi they have a sat nav to lazy to use it and then ask me to direct them to next destination what the point. Some of the drivers are brilliant but some time you have to ask for your change they automatically think its a tip.

D. S.Downloaded the app last Saturday as needed a taxi and booked through app so did not have to pay cash. Taxi arrived on time also used App to book Taxi later to get home and even though it was around 11pm they still managed to get our taxi to us straight away. Have now used them 4 times and each time have got to us very quick good drivers nice clean tidy 🚗. Will carry on using them in the future.

However, you need to go a step further by developing an avenue where customers can give feedbacks about specific drivers, not just the app and service provided.

My only comment would be we tried to get one from the taxi rank and it was a Dragon Taxi and we were refused because my friend is over weight. So we split into two taxis from another company. I find this really insulting when we had used the service loads and that they have a note in the taxi about being available and not turning fairs down.

J. S.Good service majority of the time, booked 4 cabs in the last few months and book them in the morning ready for the evening so we know we can get a taxi. First 3 times have all picked us up on time. The last time was awful though. Booked at 10am for a cab to pick us up at 11pm as I knew it would be a busy night and my grandparents had come down to see us so was booking the cab for them to go 3 miles up the road to there hotel. Was told it was all booked for us and they would get us at 11 as requested. 11pm came with no taxi in sight so we rang the taxi company and was told it would be 10 minutes, which was fine, but after 15 minutes there was still no taxi. We rang again to be told another 10 minutes then they hung up on us. It was an hour late in the end after multiple phone calls and hang ups and being told ‘another 10 minutes’.
I understand it was a busy night but that is why we booked the taxi in advance. If they had told us at the time that it might be late then I would be more understanding but it was never mentioned and I thought the service was dreadful.
At the end of the day the point of booking the taxi in advance is so it would get us at the time requested with no delay. If I was a young girl on my own outside a closed pub in the dark I would feel very vulnerable and I think that the point of booking in advance is so that problems like that don’t happen, I believe taxi company have a public duty of care to help protect people by getting them home safely and making them wait outside for an hour could be potentially very dangerous.
So I’m not impressed by the service at all and be aware because they don’t tell you, just because you’ve booked a taxi doesn’t mean you will get it on time.
N. D.This is such a good taxi company. Why? Because they have looked at the competition (uber) and have realised they need a good app with ability to store payment details. The drivers are great. Wait time is usually small. You can book. Cars are nice. What's not to like!

M. J.The go to cab firm in Cardiff, always use them as they are always reliable and timely. They have a brilliant app that enables instant or timed bookings with live map tracking of where your driver and cab actually are with notifications as to who your driver is, the car to expect, even the reg number! You can also, if you wish, pay via their app. So I can get a lift without needing to find a cashpoint first! It also means if you book a cab for someone, especially late at night, you can track the car and see they have safely arrived home. Excellent service all round.

A. P.I’ve only used the service twice but both times the taxis have arrived in 5 minutes. As an out-of-towner I find it useful and reassuring. The app is fast is easy to use and using a card was ideal. I wanted to tip the second driver and a prompt didn’t come up which is the only negative as I now can’t seem to send a tip.

And I have had no trouble with the service they provided. 2 particular drivers (left nameless) I personally want to say thank you as 1 of the above drivers, on my way to work. Was so welcoming, polite, lovely and professional to talk to, they made me feel relaxed before I went into work.
And another experience is on my way to my destination, the driver was very friendly, and kind and was aware I was upset and having a hard morning. That the approach of finding a quicker route to get my destination without hassle was really kind gesture. And talking to me to ease my mind before my day started properly. Left me when arrived at my destination a lot easier and calmer.
I've started using the app too, and no problems there. Tells me all the information I need to know 're my taxi booking and how long it will be till it arrives etc.

G. M.Can honestly say I've no complaints to dragon if anything it's how amazing they have been. They don't get recognized enough and like me they are key workers that are risking themselves on a daily basis and I do feel for everyone of them with what's going on as they all are self employed and are not earning what they would be if the virus was not around. The drivers I have had that have taken too me work have all been lovely, down too earth and done everything correctly too ensure his safety as well as my own!! I applaud everyone of you. Only bad point was that I couldn't select a tip amount that I wanted, only 1,2,3 or 4 pounds. I would have tipped more so the app needs to change to allow a tipping amount of choice in pounds. But other than that I always use dragon taxis if I'm in Cardiff

I enjoyed talking with him during the ride and how helpful he was in navigating the city as somebody who just moved here. He made my first experience using Dragon Taxis a really great one!
P. S.I usually book using the app, which could be improved but is good enough to do the job. The drivers are friendly and the taxis generally come on time if pre-booked or within a reasonable time if called on the spot. I only use taxes occasionally but dragon cars have always been clean and I've had no problems with this company. Modern taxi drivers don't seem to think it's part of their job to come to the house door or to open the passenger door even for frail elderly people but that's the same for every company as far as I know.

Their driving was good as well, but I was really impressed with what kind and friendly individuals they were. J. S.Mr Abdul Khaliq was very sweet and helpful. He helped me out with my two large travel luggage and 2 cabin bags and didn’t make a fuss about it and was very polite. I really loved his services.
However, an evening before, I was shifting my stuff and had 5 luggages and booked Dragon Taxi for the first time on a friend’s recommendation who told me Dragon Taxis are good for moving luggages and thus upon arrival Mr Mohammed Ruhel Ameen was quite rude and I personally didn’t like his behaviour.
A 5 star for Mr Abdul Khaliq who had a hatchback car (PASSAT Vehicle Type) and still managed to fit it my luggage without making any fuss about it and literally NO Star for Mr Mohammed who had a Saharan vehicle type and still was mad at me for nothing.
N. R.I am in Cardiff a lot and Dragon are pretty much the main firm. Generally I find the service is excellent (help with bags speedy efficient and safe 8 times out of last 10). On the other 2 occasions out of the last 10 it has been awful (late driver requiring directions and seeming to not know how to operate the vehicle) Nothing in between.
Have to say tho that’s pretty good compared to a lot of places and the last few times have been in the ‘excellent’ category
A. H.I downloaded the Dragons Taxi App and used it several times to get taxis over a weekend in Cardiff. It couldn’t have been easier. Every time the driver got to me within a couple of minutes. The drivers were all courteous, helpful and cheerful and drove the journeys really well.
I realise that Dragon Taxis is a huge operation – but no quality has been sacrificed. The service I received was superb.

M. R.I use the App all the time to book a taxi from Dragon. I am able to see how long the taxi will take to arrive. More often than not, the taxi is waiting outside after contacting me by phone.
Using the App, it details the cars Make and Registration, together with the Drivers Name. This ensures we are getting into a legit taxi and for women traveling alone is a way of keeping safe.
Me and my wife have had great service all the time with the Drivers being very friendly and polite but at the same time keeping their professionalism.

Uber were a waste of time as NEVER any taxis available. I miss my old drivers since the new system came in but 95% of the drivers are so friendly and have a nice chat with you. The new app is highly recommended, the only downside is getting charged an extra 50p on top of the fare for using your debit card on the app.

I have used them on perhaps 15 or 20 occasions in the past and each time the car has been a couple of minutes early with a useful text letting you know the car is waiting. It's also very simple to book online. I've experienced baffling incompetence or bad service with other taxi firms in Wales so if you're in Cardiff, definitely use Dragon Taxis!

S.Usually use Dragon anyway but Denise at the Cardiff branch truly went over and above recently in ensuring we had a 6 seater for a journey which would have cost us double otherwise! Due to her arranging this for our trip, we were able to arrange that the same taxi pick us up overall saving £25. Excellent Service!

D. W.Having booked a cab from Gatwick airport and paying in advance I was very disappointed to find out that I would have to wait 2 hours to be picked up. The driver who did arrive was excellent and very professional. Clearly I was unhappy that we were made to wait this long and got in contact Dragon to rectify the issue in regards to compensation.
This process took longer than I would have wished, but I was very pleased that a nice lady called Rachel looked into my case and was excellent at dealing with the complaint. I really believe she went above and beyond to sort out the problem and is a real credit to Dragon taxi's.
P. M.Fabulous service!! My sister and i missed our train home so got in a Dragon taxi. Our driver was kind to us and gave us each a bottle of water, offered to reduce the price of the journey by £5 and as we had been running to get our train, offered to pull over if my sister was feeling unwell as she has asthma. J. S.Me and two colleagues have used Dragon more or less daily while we're down here working away from home. Compared to other taxi experiences down here; with my local companies back at home and with Uber, they're much better, and their pricing seems reasonable, I've never had a taxi turn up late, often early, and have managed to somehow get us to work on time when under normal circumstances we would've been late.
Okay, I might not be a regular but from a week of dealing with them I'm confident in recommending them.

y. m.Ok so I am rating this experience on booking a prestige car for my son's prom (which considering it was the night of the Beiber concert in Cardiff!) Due to the fact it was a premier car (beautiful black BMW) it was roughly twice the price of regular taxi fare. Pick up times at either end were on the button. Best thing about the service was Rachel. Dealt with her from enquiry to booking. Absolutely lovely and 100% professional through the whole process. Would definitely recommend the premier service

C. A.Hello, I had a Taxi to and from the University of Opthamology Maindy this morning. Both drivers taking me to and from my destination were amazing came exactly on time very nice drivers. Although this post is saying Clive Ayres. It was myself Linda Ayres that the taxi’s were for. I very very at ease and comfortable with both drivers both lovely men. Because of this if I need a taxi again I would definitely use Dragon. I don’t know the name of the man who took me there but on my return journey it was Abdul, but both were very nice. I.I typically use Uber or OLA however after failing to find any in culverhouse Cross less than 20 minutes away I went to old faithful dragon (and I’m so glad I did). Car arrived within 5 minutes of booking and the driver, Chengeta, did an absolutely sterling job. Not only was my new pal familiar with the routes and a good driver, but we had a great chat that I thourouly enjoyed. I even got some inspiration for cooking my dinner later! Fantastic experience, perfect end to a long day at work. Keep being awesome Chengeta!

Rachel who organises the Wedding cars was always quick to respond to emails and was easily reachable by phone. Rachel also has excellent attention to detail.
Our wedding was during a busy Welsh Rugby match, and Rachel organised with the council an escort for the vehicle down the closed city streets.
The Driver was very professional, pristine, and on time with no issues at all. And even notified us of his arrive and was happy to wait.
The vehicle provided was a brand new beautiful white Mercedes with all the bells, whistles and ribbons you could hope for, which were even colour coordinated to match our wedding colours.
Overall extremely happy with the Wedding Car Service, and have never been let down by Dragon Taxis.

E. W.My aunt has Parkinson's disease and has been a customer of Dragon taxis for many years. Since her illness the drivers all remember her and nothing is too much trouble. I booked a car last Sunday for her, the driver helped her from her front door to the car, we met her at the restaurant and driver helped us to get her out of car and into restaurant. Again going home, driver got car onto pavement to get as close as possible, then assisted her from car to front door and even used front door key for her as tremors were bad. If only all taxi drivers were this good
