I would just like to defend drive taxis and their drivers, people leaving one star saying the service is not good. Please consider, traffic and road works, I suggest you book you're taxi well well in advance and if you get to you're destination early, class it as a bonus. I've used them in the past, they have never let me down. And as for the fares being high, if you don't like what they charge I suggest you try and find a taxi company that are cheaper otherwise walk🚶🚶

It's been a while since I booked a cab from Drive. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean cab and polite but unobtrusive, mask-wearing driver. They sent me a text link to pay the driver by card - that was a new feature to me and I used it without a problem. The cab arrived pretty much on time and the journey was smooth and efficient. My trip was very early on a Sunday morning and Drive had no problem providing a car, while another major Hull cab firm ruled out any bookings before 8am.

Over all very efficient service. However, the automated phone service asks for your name, and it never gets it right when the driver asks my name to double check

Taxi arrived very quickly, it was a wait and return I also needed a cash machine on way. This wasn’t a problem although first cash machine was broke, it wasn’t an issue diverting slightly to take me to another one. It was a very enjoyable journey. The taxi driver (Nigel) was a lovely person. Chatting away with me in a very happy positive manner. I always use 57 taxi’s as they do their best to get to you quickly and I’m yet to meet one of their drivers who isn’t polite and friendly. I’d highly recommend this taxi service

I miss 706706 cars ,they had lovely well mannered people on the phone's,even knew where I was going to. I heard some of their drivers went over to Drive,they had some lovely drivers,not seen any of them,maybe gone else where.

Drive are a brilliant taxi company. They are always prompt. We've never been let down yet in all the time we have used them. And they always keep you updated on when they are on their way et cetera. They even phone you when they have arrived. Plus i have a disabled brother and the drivers are very good with him. They help him in and out of taxi and store his walking frame in the boot for him. Always a great service.

My taxi was a White Ford and its number plate was LS12LX and I must say he was the nicest taxi driver I have ever had. I currently have my leg in a brace and I'm on crutches. The taxi driver not only opened the door for me to get both in and out but he also helped me into and out of the taxi and helped me with my seat belt. None of which he had to help me with, but he did anyway. It's taxi drivers like that which make me use your firm. Please pass this onto him as he is a selfless and kind man and deserves the recognition :)

Taxi ordered via the app and arrived in less than 5 minutes. The driver helped me with the shopping into the boot and then again when arrived at my destination. Driver was friendly, polite and chatty and taxi fare was cheap. Never had any problems and always use the app 5⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We always use Ride when we need a taxi, that's at least twice a week. Their system for regular customers is simple to use, they are there on time, never had any problems. Good and reliable service, polite and courteous drivers.

Very reliable, used this company dozens of times, many of them when leaving hospital and they're always pretty much bang on time even when other companies don't even have cars available, once I realised how reliable they are I started using them day to day rather than just using the free phone at Hull Royal. Fares aren't quite the cheapest in Hull but they're very reasonable and only about 50p per journey more than the company I use often, 50p isn't worth quibbling over if you know you can bank on them turning up. You always get notifications it's on its way too, and a call when it's turned up which is great if you're having a pint or something, no need for standing around. Some other companies are really hit and miss with notifications and often say they've arrived minutes before they actually do. With Ride you know once the phone rings, your cab will be outside. I had one issue with a driver massively overcharging me, the fare was double what it should have been but, Ride were excellent about it and I understand one rogue driver doesn't represent the company. I'll give them an honest 5 stars. I've had at least 100 journeys with them, and only one has been disappointing, that's a damn good ratio. I could name other companies that were more like a 50/50 good to bad equation so I'll stick with Ride. NB - The app really needs working on, I don't dare use it as it's really glitchy whether or not I use WiFi or 4G. I'm using a Samsung Galaxy 8+ which usually runs all apps perfectly. I prefer calling for a cab anyway but the odd time I have tried to use the app in noisy places it hasn't worked or bugged out. To be fair though, each and every taxi app I've used has been bobbins so it must be a software thing. I'll always prefer to speak to an actual person, more peace of mind that leaving it to a computer programme.

Last weekend I was picked up after a charity night at Halfway on Spring Bank West to celebrate the life of a dear friend who passed away from Cancer. The driver asked me about the night and when I told him he waived the fare and asked for the money to be donated to the charities involved. I don’t know the drivers name but wanted to thank him for his kind gesture. The night raised over £1000 and I was touched by his generosity. A big thank you from me.

We have used 656565 for 6 years. Most journey's are good and drivers are quite professional. However, between 3:30pm & 6pm it is impossible to get a taxi in Hull town centre. Drivers in the centre of Hull at that time are almost none. Drivers refuse to collect card paying fares at peak times. Telephone staff tell "untruths " when we complain.

Good for if you live near the centre of Hull. Poor service out in Willerby. They're not on time for pre booked cars and they give false information over the phone about ETA's. I'd recommend Willerby cars if out that way.
