I give handsome cabs a 4 as they have always been a reliable service for cabs in lincoln. However I have had a few negative experiences either with quite high prices for taxi fares... or taxis not arriving when pre booked. Mostly very good though

I always use Handsome cabs but what made yesterday remarkable was that I was meant to take a late afternoon bus to the city centre to attend an event with a friend. The bus did not show up and I called Handsome cabs to see if they had anyone available immediately. I didn't think it was possible but they said they could send someone straight away. Hemza picked me up and he was absolutely lovely. Genuine great customer service not the scripted kind you get nowadays. It turns out years ago Hemza used to deliver my parcels and he remembered me. I didn't recognise him straight away but I remember a young man who was always chatty and cheerful and I know I've not had anybody else like that since. Very happy that he's working for Handsome cabs. An asset for the company for sure.

Never really available. Booking in advance never works because no car is ever available for any hours in advance besides ASAP. Even then, the waiting gets sad. Sometimes the waiting time for a car was more than 30min... At which point it would be more polite to say so sooner as I could have walked there faster than the taxi...

We had to wait a while for this taxi because Lincoln was in a heatwave and no firms had a cab. It arrived a bit earlier than the promised time which was great for us. Good service from a polite driver.

It's a taxi firm what's there to say? I mean often struggle to get a taxi at times, often can be a wait of upto 2/3 hours which is no good. Booking wise they're OK. Couple of times I've had no confirmation of my taxi arriving and had to keep an eye out for taxis that could be for me.

Hi Handsome Cabs, I used your services this morning (Feb 24) and was driven by an absolutely lovely lady. I think she was polish, she had a slight accent, and was happily chatting to me for the journey about our different jobs and the weather and such. She was a fantastic driver and I felt very safe and comfortable. It was a lovely start to my day and she delivered me to work very happy. The car was warm and the price was more than reasonable. My lovely driver definitely deserves a pat on the back for excellent customer service. I've used HC several times before and I'd recommend them to anyone needing a lift in the area, they will always be my place of choice :)

Polite, friendly, and helpful staff - both the chap who took my booking and the taxi driver. Punctual service. Fare charged exactly as quoted. Having read so many bad reviews for taxis in Lincoln, I was somewhat concerned; I needed a taxi from the county show ground to the train station and couldn't find a company with decent reviews. I took a chance and called Handsome Cabs. The service was excellent.

Phone answered very quickly by an extremely polite operator. Told it would be 5 minutes and it arrived in 5 minutes. Driver was polite and efficient, car was clean inside and out. It was the second taxi company I had called after the first one told me an hours wait. Will be the first company I call in future.

Despite all of the negative reviews, I could not praise this service more. Being a student that's new in Lincoln, I've had to use a couple of taxis to find my way around. Two male taxi drivers were more than happy to point out different locations to me, they went out of their way to make conversation with me and made me feel very comfortable during my journey. Having said this, that is not usually the case during the night. I've called upon a taxi only once on a night out but the woman was incredibly rude because she waited outside the club for just a couple of minutes. If you ever need a taxi during day, I would definitely recommend these guys despite the bad reviews.

The drivers are always on time and cars clean and whilst other taxi companies come and go in Lincoln, Handsome Cabs remain consistently dependable and I would have no hesitation in recommending them.

Courteous drivers help you with crutches and make sure you reach your destination offering every assistance; consistently clean cars, punctual and polite people. I'm 50 years old and in those years I've never experienced anything like what happened last Sunday the 30th of October 2016. I had been involved in a car crash with my 3 young children, and stayed the night in an hotel. We called the taxi which arrived promptly and the driver got out and helped us with our luggage. He was friendly and talkative and I told him our story. When we arrived at the train station he wished us a safe journey home and shook our hands, when I asked him how much I owed him he replied, " what for?" I was blown away by this act of kindness, the second that had happened to us in 24 hours but that's another story. Didn't get the drivers name but that act of kindness really gave us a much needed lift. Thank you so much the people of Lincoln are wonderful.

I have a respiratory illness and I need to wear a mask for protection I have no wish to contact this virus. Its those that do no not wear masks that are spreading this virus, its pretty simple really. When I see your taxi driver in the Spar Garage, Birchwood a busy shop and everyone else is wearing a mask except him, that puts me off with travelling with your company, why does he think he is exempt spreading the virus. I do not have any details on the driver other than it was Tuesday 22 December the location Birchwood Garage and time of about 18.50 and he was a very tall and clean shaven.

While waiting for a Kebab on a very busy night in Lincoln I ordered a cab from This company to bring me to meet a friend on Bailgate. I was just finished my kebab when the car arived which was clean, smelt nice and the driver was very friendly. upon arival to meet my friend I discovered he had already left and gone down the hill and instead of the driver charging me for two trips and the waiting time he just charged me for one trip and as he was going back to their office dropped me off at the bottom of steep hill on the way. Even though the driver was 20 minutes later than scheduled, that did not matter as i requested a quick stop at the lloyds pharmacy on the way to tesco extra, driver was more than happy to as he could turn around and get ready to go tesco while i was there, besides it saved the driver going around the marble arches (figure of speech) to get there, so i can not fault for the respectable service they provided that makes me happy to book the return journey home as a means of thanking the company (who i know from childhood)
