It's just a free parking area with a bus stop. You can stay for up to an hour to drop someone off, and they'll be picked up by a (free) shuttle bus that goes to all three terminals every 10 minutes or so. You are NOT allowed to wait there to pick up arrivals. There are cameras, so they WILL see what you're doing and give you a hefty fine accordingly. You have to go to the respective terminal's designated pick up area, £6 for 30 minutes.

It's free parking for 1hr if I remember correctly. The Manchester Airport website states they run every 5-7 min, actually you need to call a number and request a bus be sent. The shuttle is free though so worthwhile doing to avoid the extortionate parking charges at the terminals.

Good, shame they rip you off when you come to pick up at arrivals, £6 and no concessions for disabled, absolutely disgraceful. The shuttle bus goes back to the drop off zone empty every time so it wouldn't cost them anything to do both ways.

Free drop off, bus will be there in 10-15 mins max, all lovely people. Just Tell the driver which terminal you going.

It was a bit downtrodden, the shelters were only small, however we telephoned the number on the shelter and a very helpful gent told us our minibus is en route and would be there shortly. Not connected to the those operating the drop off area, but right next door was a wasteland area, with huge gaps in the fencing, supposedly a secure car park for longer stays, nobody was in the derelict portacabin as one lady who paid £120 online to these people for supposedly secure parking found out. Don't get robbed.

It's confusing but you CAN drop off by private car, you need to get a token at the barrier, drive in and you have an hour. You need to call the number on the bus stops to get a bus to come (took 10 mins). There's a taxi holding area at the back and when we arrived a taxi driver was stood at the barriers telling public they couldn't park there but he could take them to the airport (at cost). Don't be conned.

Save money and drop at the Jetpark 1 for a free shuttle bus to the terminals. Make sure you get your token for exiting the car park. You can park for free for up to an hour.

Went at 2.30am this morning, got a token dropped daughter and partner off, there was a bus already there was so easy and no having to pay £6 to leave carpark,glad we decided to have a Google to see if there was an alternative to going in the airport carpark.

Seems like a good service though when I pulled up to the barrier, a sign reads about private hire vehicles only so not sure if I could enter the car park. I dropped my friend off at the barrier, reversed and drove out. He confirmed later he did reach terminal 3 but the bus didn't arrive at the dropoff point for over 20 mins. Not good if the queues at security check are long. There was a big crowd at the dropoff area so the number & size of the shelters aren't really suitable and should be made bigger. The layout & signs also need to improve if MAG hope to attract most of the passengers to use the service. Ideally they should run a pick up for arrivals from here as well.

It's ok but so many taxis get in (even though they shouldn't) that they make getting out again difficult because they take the tokens that should be dispensed on entry.

A free service that operates 24 hours a day. When we arrived we called the number and 15 minutes later a full sized bus arrived to take my family to directly to the terminal. Why pay £5/£6 when you can do this?!
