H.Booked for a 7pm taxi on a Saturday night , we could use an app to track our driver ie his name type of car time of arrival etc. car arrived at 6.55 spotlessly clean with a great chatty driver called Gary ( apparently from Ryton) . A good price into town ( defo cheaper than our local cabs and also blue line). Overall a great service and will definitely use again. Well done budget 👏👏

Left stranded in Northumberland for over an hour after a pre booked taxi was cancelled by text message by budget taxis.

J. T.Metro was an absolute shambles today, was waiting for a replacement metro bus for 1.5 hours this morning. Decided to bight the bullet and take a taxi instead of being extremely late for work.
The service I received was excellent. Very easy to book through the app. Car arrived quickly. Picked up by a man named Gibson. Nice guy, really friendly. He had a good knowledge of the area and was able to go down the quickest route and shortcuts to avoid all the traffic and ensure I didn't arrive to work too late. He is a real credit to your company!
Again excellent service, fantastic drive (gibson). Will be using budget in future instead of the competitors.

C. G.As the name suggests, Budget Taxis offer some of the best fare rates in the North-East.
Their service is usually very prompt and their drivers are mostly very friendly. Whenever I have spoken to their call-centre, the staff there are always really helpful.
Despite it receiving some critical reviews on Google Play, the Budget Taxis App for Android has always worked well for me and I use it regularly.
My only criticism is that some of their cars should be cleaner inside. Very occasionally they are downright nasty. I guess that's the risk you take for using a low-cost service.
On the whole though, I recommend them and I will continue to choose them ahead of any other taxi firm, including Uber.

Michael like. by starting the meter before you even get into the car one driver English not a foreigner my meter was £1.40 before I got in the car. i had to put pram in boot on my own what a kancker who spoils it for all the decent honest drivers I think budget should sack the cheats

and from then on, booking and paying for taxi is a piece of cake, actually enjoyable.
They are very reliable, almost always available, clean taxis, well mannered drivers, safe driving.
Only downside, sometimes, drivers take a longer route.. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt, I’ll attribute that to individual drivers, but otherwise excellent company, with prompt, safe, reliable and easy service.

P. B.Booked a taxi online 15 minutes before I needed it, and the booking was accepted. I got a text 7 minutes later saying the driver had been despatched, and another with a link to track him, giving a picture of the driver, details of the car etc., which I thought was great. He turned up about 8 minutes later than I needed, but I get that it was short notice - it'd be nice if on booking you could be told that they can't get there for your requested time. Unfortunately, this meant we missed our train by 2 minutes.
The driver was friendly, and seemed to know his route, although my Google Navigation suggested a shorter route which might have got us on our train. The car (Vauxhall Insignia) was very "cosy" for three "larger gentlemen" on the back seat!!
Overall I was impressed with the service, and communication, but I'd recommend booking a little earlier, to make sure your driver's got a chance of getting to you on time.

Todays drive I was shown fastest road to destination so goes to show that they are as much if not more about customer satisfaction as about making money in their job. In my eyes they deserve tip majority of times and I always leave a tip if I can.

Since using budget taxi never used another taxi service as prices are fantastic compared to other more well known companies like deans or Gateshead central which charge almost double for same journey. The apps really easy to use can pay by card or cash. Personally find budget taxi extremely reliable, cheap and drivers are very friendly and deliver a brilliant service. As someone who has to get to A to B quite alot use taxis nearly on weekly basis used most if not all taxi companies in Gateshead/Newcastle area and honestly never came across one better then budget for price, quality etc. 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🚕🚕

R. F.Booked a taxi from Fenham to pick up a car from Audi Newcastle around 9am even though it was a busy time the driver didn’t take too long the company app give an accurate time. The driver was dressed in smart uniform he was very polite and obviously had knowledge of the area as he give me 2 different routes which unlike a lot of drivers who take you a longer way got me to Audi quite quickly, the fare cost less than £4. Big thank you to Budget Taxis and Dusimani(driver).

P.I work for Sainsburys and I was helping a disabled customer get a taxi. The customer needed a taxi with wheelchair access. I rang 3 other taxi companies that didn’t have any available. Budget Taxis said they would have one available in about 20 minutes. The taxi came within 10 minutes.
