Top guys. I normally use another big local firm. However their app seemingly overloads when there is a droplet of rain in the atmosphere. This is extremely sub optimal for reliability. I've been bailed out several times by the team here. Friendly, respectable drivers they have, and no issues with lack of local lingo either. Prices are competitive too.

Couldn't recommend this company enough. Unfortunately there was confusion and i had mistakenly booked a day early and left their driver waiting but they were happy to re-book for the next day and were a fantastic service with a great price from Newcastle city center to way out past Hexham. Will be booking with them again in the future.

Ended up getting a Walker taxi from the train station to South Shields. Was completely impressed with the service from booking in advance to the drop off at my destination. My driver was patiently waiting for me, he was polite, the vehicle was clean and I felt safe. Will definitely use this company again because of the excellent customer service.

Rude and unhelpful office staff but very cheap prices and fantastic, helpful and friendly drivers (with a meagre few exemptions that showed a xenophobic, borderline racist, and almost aggressive attitude) that know the roads like the back of their hands and are almost always on time, with the exception of but a few times where the office staff have informed them to turn up way earlier or later than requested. Ones such example of office staff incompetence is as follows; (and this has happened to me multiple times) upon phoning the office to book a taxi I have been told there are none available for at least an hour (or whatever the wait) However, I have been stood next to/ across from, or saw one or two of their cabs sitting stationary, blatantly waiting for their next job! On one such occasion I went up to the driver and informed him of the time needed to wait for the next available taxi the office had informed me of. The driver was furious to say the least and said this happens all the time! We both remarked that they get paid regardless and that it's the drivers that suffer due to office incompetence since they are paid only for the jobs they do. They guy was great, friendly, got me to where I needed to be on time and at a massively cheap and more than competitively fair price! So in conclusion, great drivers, amazingly low prices, just be prepared for blunt, unhelpful office staff taking your booking!

We used Walker Taxis on Saturday night. A cab was booked for 7.30 and he arrived 5 mins early, and return was booked for 10.15 and again cab was early. Nice, clean car, quiet, polite drivers. Would def recommend

Honest and reliable taxi firm.. Was on a night out and with friends had one to many not knowing I had left my mobile phone in car. The nice gentleman who picked me up from town kindly returned my phone to my home the next day! Definitely recommend this service

I have used this taxi company for many years and wouldn't use any other, the drivers are polite and thoughtful and the service is second to none.. I have never met a rude driver or had a single bad experience and think certain comments made here, are out of jealousy and I don't believe these people actually got in a Walker Taxi...
