Booked a taxi for the evening of the busiest weekend of the year (that of the Platinum Jubilee) Received the usual text messages saying car dispatched, and car arrived. Yes the car did arrive and almost to the minute as per the booking. I changed the route somewhat by adding a new and additional drop. The driver was absolutely fine with this and took us to our destinations safely, carefully and with a perfect attitude. Highly recommended Amber Cars and thank you.

They were late by 13 minutes though I had booked the taxi one hour in advance. I am very disappointed. The car and the driver- I have nothing to complain about. I just wanted to add to what I had written earlier. I’ve used the services of Amber Cars Northampton twice since then and they’ve been spot on time and the drivers are always friendly.

We ordered an airport mini bus at short notice after another company we had booked with for over a week decided to increase their fare by a substantial amount about 3 hours before travelling, we were shocked to say the least. We immediately booked Amber cars who arrived on time to take our family of 6 to Gatwick, Shan the driver was excellent. We had no hesitation in booking them for the return journey and again this was carried out in the same professional way. We would recommend them to anyone looking for a taxi. Thank you Amber Cars.

We were visiting Northampton on Saturday to attend an event. I called to book a taxi to pick us up from our hotel in the afternoon, and already had our return trip booked via the app. The first taxi arrived on time, as advised by text. The car was clean, the driver was polite, courteous, and accommodated our bags in the clean boot. We wanted to leave the venue earlier than our initial return booking, so booked another taxi using the app, cancelling the later booking at the same time. Again, the information was brilliant by text, plus I could follow the driver on the app. Another clean, tidy car, polite driver, providing excellent service. All round excellent service, especially being informed of the vehicle by text.

Dear Amber Taxis, Many thanks to all drivers and the staff who answer the calls. I used Amber on a very regular basis for 2.5 years when I lived in Northampton (until October 2019). This included travelling to Birmingham Airport and picking up at the airport. The drivers and service is absolutely first rate. They always came early or on time, all drivers were very polite and welcoming. All were helpful and reasonably priced. I never used any other taxi firm at all. The taxis are clean. I have been a loyal customer of Amber for several years and have generally received good service. As a disabled person, I find it helpful that they almost always send texts when the car has been despatched and when it arrives. On the couple of occasions that the arrival text didn't come, the driver phoned to let me know he was waiting. This morning however, I got the despatch text, and then a text to say 'The customer could not be found'. I had not received an arrival text or a phone call, and I was at a house address. This was annoying, but not the end of the world, so I phoned to check what had happened. The controller was short with me and said I should have been watching for the car. I attempted to say that I HAD been watching out of the window and no car had stopped outside the house, but was curtly interrupted to say I couldn't have been! I am polite, and as a loyal paying customer who had done nothing wrong, I would expect the same courtesy, rather than the snippy inference that I am a liar. Not very good customer service at all I'm afraid! I have tried to be fair and given three stars (for previous good service), despite how annoyed I am at the moment

Good communication after the booking telling me the dispatch and arrival of the car complete with car details. In the end the car arrived 30 minutes early and the driver was happy to wait. Good service and arrived at our destination safe and sound. Very happy.

Now done a total of 5 transfers to and from London Heathrow, punctual friendly, and helpful drivers. Different driver everytime so overall standards of drivers is excellent. Likewise five different cars, four were Mercedes saloons, all very clean and modern and most importantly for my partner no smell of smoking. Just landed a contract in Warsaw and I will be commuting Mon to Fri, using red eye flights and Amber Cars will get the regular transfers for two years such is my trust in the service provided. Second early morning pick up for journey to London Heathrow. Both times the cars were very clean and relatively new. The drivers were polite and very considerate on the road. Therefore the experience is altogether relaxing as well as comfortable.

The company is good. But beware of the drivers, they might charge you extra if they have to drive extra if the road is blocked . My driver had to take a diverted route. I had my last £10 which I was forced to give on alighting. However, the company has kindly agreed to reimburse in my next trip.

Fantastic service. My 98 year old mother was a passenger in a vehicle that had broken down on the A43 near Northampton. I called Amber Cars, explained the situation and they had a driver collect her within 20 minutes to continue her journey to Poole. Nice car, lovely driver, brilliant service. Highly recommended. I dread to think what would have happened without them, as the driver had to wait in a lay-by for 6 hours until the RAC was able to move his vehicle.

They text you to confirm your drive details (from where to where). They text you to say your driver is dispatched and on its way. And they text you to say your driver is outside. The drivers were very provisional. My first time using this company and it will definitely be my go to.

Arrived late, bubble screen fitted but driver was not wearing a mask, closed windows, speeding through 30MPH limits and was being thrown around in the back as driver was taking corners WAYYYYY to fast. 😠 Edit: I am editing it as I am upgrading it to 3 instead, I work for the NHS and got approached for a taxi to be contacted, I contacted Amber and they said driver should be there within 10-15 mins taxi was 5 mins late but thats understandable with the volume of traffic I am glad to see service is improving slightly
