We made use of the executive car offering for our wedding day, myself and my two groomsmen were picked up by Billy with his black Mercedes Benz, his vehicle was immaculate, and Billy was an absolute gentleman. Driving us to the ceremony we were treated to a brief history of Oxford as we were driven to the ceremony through the city and got us to the destination with time to spare. After the Ceremony Billy collected my Bride and myself, took us to our holding destination before safely delivering us to the reception party. I was so happy the service Billy provided, I called up Royal Cars to request his services a third time for the same day, to collect us after the celebrations had finished. Once again, Billy arrived before time and well presented. A very personable character, who played a very important part on our special day. We booked a car from a remote railway station to Blenheim Palace. I was a bit concerned about being stranded. But everything was perfect! When I telephoned Royal Cars the night before to confirm the booking, my number was recognised by their computer system and it told me the booking details (with an option to speak to someone). It was very reassuring. On the day of the booking, I received text messages with the 1) colour and make of the car 2) license plate number and 3) tracking info. When we arrived at the railway station, the car was waiting for us. The driver and his driving were excellent. Highly professional. Highly recommended.

DRIVER 360 - You are amazing. He spent much of our trip in heavy traffic or surrounded by children (our drop off and collection were both schools). He was constantly vigilant and courteous to pedestrians and other drivers. It also transpired that he was a poet and philosopher. Best of all, when I discovered I'd left my phone in his car, he offered to meet me. Then, when I offered him £15 for his time, he refused and told me to spend it on my own children. He was so incredibly kind - thanks so much 360, you are a star.

The taxi arrived on time and the driver was really professional. My mobile phone fell out of my trouser pocket in the taxi which I did not realise until I got into the railway station. The taxi driver got my phone posted to my home address by next day delivery. He was so helpful. I cannot recommend this service and this excellent driver highly enough

Taxi arrived on time which is good. However, about 10 minutes before, I got a call from supposedly the taxi driver asking if I could pay by cash as there was a problem with the card machine in the taxi, but I had already paid via the app! Felt like they were trying to get more money from me and hoped I didn’t realise. When I asked the driver about this, he claimed it wasn’t him, and ‘must have been the company’, but the number that rang me was the same one as the driver, so a bit strange!!

I feel like the charges keep going up more and more. The maximum amount that should be charge is 6 pounds. But They always charge more- got charged £6.90 for a journey that is showing about 3 pounds on the meter reading. It is getting scary booking taxis these days as you don’t get charged what you’re supposed to be charged.

They are very good, high quality of customer service they deserve more than 5 stars why so because they do their best to make the customers very satisfied. I use them sins 2006. You can register your card details or pay in the car to the driver by cash or card.

A lovely man picked us up from hobby craft going into Botley this evening while it was raining! he helped us with the pram and bags to our front door from the boot of his car, he was a great laugh and we enjoyed the ride home! He said we made his day because we paid him that little bit more for the journey! So if the person who gave us a ride home, thank you for also making our day! :)

We used Royals to ferry our Bridal party from Premier Inn Garsington rd to oxford town hall, they picked up 29 guests without one hitch. They also picked up the groom and his party and the bride and bridesmaids all perfectly on time... They did an amazing job

Overall reliable and slightly cheaper than others. I use the app mainly and it works well. At peak times they do tend to go over the estimated time quite a bit so be aware to order early, possibly even the day before if you can.

90% excellent service at literally the best price. I have a large dog and they have always been very tolerant with him traveling. Twice they forgot to book me a car that could hold a dog and missed some grooming appointments, but this was unusual. I now call to confirm after booking online that the car will be able to support my dog.

Booked a cab, operator said 10 mins. Went outside 2 mins later to wait for cab, cab was there. I'm thinking "great". Walked up to cab, driver rolls down window to tell me "I tried calling you but you didn't answer. Jobs gone, you're not going anywhere with me." He rolls up the window and drives off. No missed calls on my phone though. So who did he call? Who knows. He arrived early and waited around just to tell me I've wasted his time. That is typical of royal taxis. The operators can be cheeky too. Quick to hang up on you, they also might pull the ol' "hello? you're breaking up, *dial tone*". If you do manage to get a ride, they're usually quick and polite so three stars for the good ones representing well otherwise I'd gladly give one star.

We used Royal Cars for a total of 6 journeys across a weekend. Although we only received a text giving arrival progress for four or five journeys, every car was prompt, they were all immaculately presented and smelt fresh and clean, and the drivers were all well-groomed and personable, friendly and knowledgeable. We felt very safe using this company, and were pleased with the fare scales. I believe all the cars were either electric or hybrid, perhaps excepting the 8-seater needed for when we made a party of 5. I believe that was a Mercedes, I don't know what sort of engine.

Mohammed and Royal Cars provided an excellent service for our wedding guests. We arranged for 16 guests to be picked up at 3.30pm from our hotel to the register office. We also arrange for 18 guests to be picked up from the Register office at 4.45pm and taken to the reception as well as an additional pick up 11pm. All taxies arrived on time with a smile, there is nothing more that I can say, apart from, I would highly recommend Royal Cars to anybody.

I’m using service of Royal Cars company quite often... I had a few amazing professional drivers, polite, friendly listening to nice music and chilled atmosphere ✌️🤗 Some of them are lovely, mainly the ones with clean electric cars, driving properly and without any bad smells of cigarettes. From time to time there are strange drivers asking a lot of questions which people don’t have to answer, trying to flirt and rip you off... driving around the city pretending that they going into right direction especially just to overcharge... shameless! Today I had very bad experience with one driver, very dirty car going 10 miles per hour without any cars in the front and driving around without any reasons for it... asking questions about my private life. After finally getting to the destination he was calling me a friend and he didn’t want to charge me and he was talking and talking to me while I was waiting to get finally my change back and leave... Not very nice when you are just paying for a quick service driving from point A to B... not going to see all surroundings of Oxford and talk with a stranger. Plus being late over 20 minutes when it’s just 5 minutes by car when you drive normally... 🤔🤯 Fingers crossed that you will improve some of this services 👍 Good luck 🤗

I’ve never had a bad experience with Royal Cabs. They have cars waiting everywhere so your waiting time is minimal. Their cars are nice, and the drivers are friendly. Reasonably priced. Can’t complain at all!

The reason for 3 star and not 5 was because I asked for a shielded taxi for a vulnerable adult yesterday for 1.30pm. The driver was a lovely guy but he'd been sent straight away so was 25 or so mins early so we rushed our food as we felt bad for him. Plus when we went to get in the taxi wasn't shielded. The operator should have discussed our request for shielding if it was just going to be a normal car with a mask wearing driver. I told him why it was needed. He also should have dispatched the car for the correct time.

Don't normally leave a comment about a simple 10 minute taxi ride, but I feel I should for others to use when in Oxford. I called 4 other firms at rand before I got through to Royal their service was excellent from my initial call, the booking and the car turning up bang on time. However the main reason for the comment was the cost, just be careful of other firms in Oxford over charging, Royal price was extremely fair, so I would recommend you try them first, as all the ones I called quoted at least £10.00 more

I highly recommend Kudrat Ali with Royal Cars -- ask for him specifically as it will be worth it. Mr. Ali has been my driver to and from Heathrow for over four years, multiple times a year. He provides a high level of personal service that is much appreciated by his clients. During a trip out of the country last month, he exceeded even his own standards. I had six very large, heavy bags, each weighing the maximum 70 lbs -- much more than I could handle on my own, especially since I am female. He not only carried them down flights of steps to his Mercedes van, but rescued me from what could have been a very difficult situation at Heathrow. When we arrived at LHR, there were no porters and the COVID security measures were daunting, with an endless line of travelers with luggage carts waiting to be screened before entering the terminal. I did not expect this problem. I was not only concerned about gaining entry with so much luggage that I could not handle on my own, but also concerned that the line was so long I would miss my flight. Mr. Ali not only wrangled the carts piled with bags -- a feat unto itself -- but also negotiated expedited entry into the terminal. I made my flight without a problem. This experience exemplifies his standard of service. I highly recommend him.

I've been using Royal Cars for the last 10-15 years. Overall my experience has been Excellent. From my experience of taxi's (in general) can be a little hit and miss and it mostly comes down to the experience with the driver more than anything else. However overall I've found Royal Cars to be reliable, flexible and the drivers are on the whole friendly and professional. If you're in Oxford and require a taxi, I would highly recommend Royal Cars.

Im new in town and I have used different taxi firms and I must say the most reliable was a company called Royal Cars. I used them a couple of times most of the time it was excellent but I must say once a driver was 4 minutes late. The service was excellent, the drivers were polite and they even put music on for me when requested. I recommend this to anyone who is looking to use a cheap, fast and reliable service.

Outstanding, caring service for a wheelchair user. I used Royal Cars for a year as i returned to work. Arrangements were sometimes complex, but the team at Royal always responded quickly and effectively. And I always felt completely safe - vital for someone who feels pretty vulnerable. I liked that i usually had the same drivers, who quickly became friends. Their service was always courteous, sensitive and kind. And they often went above and beyond the call of duty to help me out. Great service called to be collected from the Botanic gardens at about 10pm on a Sunday night after some drinks in the city centre. Polite guy on the phone (to the point clearly likes to just get the job done) got a car to us in under 5 minutes. Ended at the premier inn hotel total journey £6 great price. Earlier that day we were ripped of by 001 taxis (don't use them) driver tried to charge £12.90 for same trip - check out their bad reviews. To sum up Royal Taxis they were fast, reasonably priced and clean. I will use them again, thanks to the waiter at Turtle bay for recommending them.

I will stick to Royal Cars and always do and will recommend to anybody.

I will continue to use Royal Cars because they are cheap. The experience however is hit and miss. Booked them for an airport job and driver at least 35 minutes late. I would recommend for local jobs as they have market share and therefore loads of taxis available and are competitively priced, but worth paying £5-£10 more for a reputable company for airport pick ups if you don't want to hang around after a long flight.

I thoroughly recommend Royal Cars to anyone requiring a reliable taxi service in the Oxford area. As a DOS of an independent international school Royal cars offers us peace of mind when dealing with high volumes in sometimes fast-changing circumstances. Punctual, flexible and very competitive. My monthly bills on transfers has practically halved from my last supplier. Response times in Oxford are within minutes and it is handy to know exactly where the cars are at all times with their tracking systems. Occasional short delays in arrival times from airport pickups over the last year prevents royal cars from getting 5 stars, but the company is working hard to rectify this and over the last few months their services have been absolutely spot on.

I would like to Thamk Royal Cars we had a big event last week in Oxford and had no idea where the delegates were staying so set up an account so they all had access. The company has been outstanding and for those complaining about late arrivals. Traffic in Oxford can be a nightmare and you never know iamb your journey will take 10 minutes or 40 minutes so give these guys a break. My experience with over 50 journeys has been exemplary keep up the good work.

I have had a Royal Cars account since 2007, when I started working as a freelance. It has been very useful for the times when I have arrived at the train station, needed a taxi home but did not have any money. I also used the company to take my father, who was 85 to mass from his sheltered accomodation Rose Hill to Littlemore, every Saturday. Mostly, the drivers were excellent and very kind to my father. I also used the company to pick of my father from the day centre and they were good and helpful. Over the years, I have used the service to move to various different places in Oxford. If you are moving and need a lot of space, you need to request an estate car. They also have minibuses available and can help you with a larger move. When I have moved lots of items into a storage space, the drivers have helped me unload the items. The company has grown recently and the number of drivers has increased from 300 to 600, as they have merged with 001 Taxis. Now, you get quite detailed texts with the name of your driver and you can track where your taxi is if you have an iphone. Sometimes, they will say a taxi will take 10-15 minutes but it will arrive a lot quicker. I prefer to use this company and unlike the taxis that are at the train station, they do not add an extra £2 to the fare.

Used this company many times previously with no problem. Arrive quickly and drivers are always polite. However, last night I thought I had left my phone in the taxi. I called the company after and they denied they had a booking. I provided the operator with time, pick-up and drop-off points and they could not find the job. It was definitely the right company as I still had the confirmation texts on my phone! I even gave them the license plate of the driver but they refused to help in any way other than saying I would need to visit a police station. Managed to find my phone in the end, clumsy me, but it seemed a bit dodgy that they wouldn't give me any information or even try to contact the driver about the missing (at the time!) phone. Reluctant to use again if they can't keep track of their drivers!
