To be fair out of all the cabs in the city I always come to these guys, I’ve tried others but you get what you pay for. They always make sure I’m home safe and their timing is the best it can b depending on circumstances. Drivers polite but not over friendly. Very happy with service. I've been a regular customer of Goldstar for over 10 years now and can say with confidence that they have the best drivers in Peterborough. Cars are always early (with rare exceptions) and clean, and drivers always know the quickest routes. Plenty of very nice characters that are happy to chat on your journey to help pass the time. Friendly driver and punctual service.Booking said to pay cash, but driver was short 50p so I said he could have the change he didn’t have - didn’t leave me with much of an option. Booked online and was able to track booking. Would really have appreciated assistance with my luggage though - no offer to load/offload my luggage. I had to open the boot and load and unload my luggage myself. Assistance should be offered especially when you have booked to go to the railway station and see a customer has luggage.

I used Goldstar on the review from my daughter as she uses the taxied to come home from work. I’m in a wheelchair so called the taxi firm and we’re happy to put my wheelchair in the boot. Lovely to know as visit the hospital and doctors a lot. Five stars. And the price is good too.

Taxis are the quickest and very reliable at least in Peterborough area. This is the only taxi that would wait for you on “that” emergency Monday when you overslept, or drive past McDonald’s just so you are ready for a day ahead. Taxi drivers are always polite and chatty, have a good banter but at the same time keeping professional and follow the route. If there is traffic, they always know the route to avoid it and get you to where you need to be in the shortest time possible. I personally use them and recommend them to all my mates as it’s always the cheapest quickest and most reliable than most companies I used around this city (and I have tried quite a few of the taxi firms) . 5 star without a doubt. 👍

Easy use and service, i was expecting a 30 min. Wait for my taxi because of Ramadan timings, came within 8 minutes which was fantastic. Text alert is awesome give you a live map so at least you know you have time to go to the shop or go to the toilet and not panic. Fabulous service 👏

This was my first time with this company. I took a cab at 3:30 friday morning, greeted with a very friendly driver willing to load my luggage (which was quite a lot and very heavy). He drove us to the airport safely and efficiently. When we arrived at the airport I realized I didn’t have a £1 for the luggage trolley to which he gave me a coin. Which is absolutely beyond generous and was unexpected. He loaded the trolley for me and pushed it all the way to where the queue was forming. This driver went above and beyond to get me to the airport and helped me far beyond expectation. I sadly have a terrible memory and forgot his name but I hope it can be revealed who drove me because he was by far the best taxi driver i’ve ever come in contact with. Very friendly and easy to talk with. I would recommend this company to everyone in need of a friendly and professional service for a very fair price. I travelled to peterborough today for a work shift. My phone had froze which left it useless. could was totally lost and had no way of finding my way to my work place. I work as a relief officer and have new locations often. Given the situation i drove towards peterborough town centre hoping to find a taxi who could direct me. I had no luck in doing so. Once upon a time I was gold star customer. But I started to use another company. But this company service is not so good. Driver always late. But other day I was in Hampton. I met this gold star driver 107 near the shops. it’s was raining plus I was waiting for my taxi which I already booked over 20min ago. I asked this driver if I can sit in your car while I waiting for my taxi. This very nice gentleman let me sit in his car. After talking to him about the work and the prices etc. I realize that gold star taxi is cheaper then other companies. Driver 107 recommended me to at least try gold star. And I am amazed by the service. Cars are very clean. Drivers always on time even early. Best company in Peterborough by far. This driver 107 gave me lots of cards to pass on to my friends and family. I can only give you three stars(was four when I started writing this 30 minutes ago). Why? Most of the times service is ok. Drivers are polite and they drive well. They are on time. Now however I am in a taxi that is speeding a bit(although I might be wrong, anyway it's dark so no reason to go fast). It is still dark and therefore more dangerous. Sometimes drivers ask #how to get there#, maybe I am old fashioned but I thought that is the point of getting a cab? You do not need to know where it is or how to get there. I would understand that if it was really odd place and not marked on the map... But it was not! While I was writing all of this driver again asked me where it is and when I said please just go to Tesco (we could see it), he didn't even do that because it was too hard to go there. Drivers either need to learn at least a bit about the City they work in or use GPS. I do not understand why it is so hard to use GPS?

Saj car 86 picked me up from Peterborough hospital all the way to Barton Mills, after I had an accident at Peterborough station that left me struggling to get home. I had taxi from train station to Werrington last night. This very nice guy in White Vauxhall Insigina reg (DWV) picked us up. The road was closed from Bourges blvd. He have to go al the way to peterborough city hospitals round about on A47 to come back to fulbridge road to go Werrington. The drive been so calm and polite. Goldstar employ some excellent drivers, always competitively priced. Have a smartphone app so can book your taxi without calling. Only reason I marked it down a star is the time it takes to get you a taxi is longer then other companies plus when using the app it allows you to track the driver however this never seems to be correct and you wait longer then if it was where it says it is.
