S. M.It was my first time in London. I arrived with two kids and I wanted to go to Southampton. The taxi service was really good and I really appreciate the service they have provided for me. The taxi centre replied very fast and supplied a quick service on time. The total cost for the ride was really reasonable. The driver Tom was very helpful, polite and friendly. I recommend this service for anyone for safe and happy journey.

K. V.I was tasked by friends last week to get us a taxi booking to attend a family party that crossed the Southampton boundaries. That booking wasn’t just for any type of taxi: we needed a 6 seater to fit 3 adults and 2 kids! I started calling the usual local firms that I’ve used since I was a teenager, knowing full well what the response would be: we can book you in but we can’t guarantee you a 6 seater. Sure enough, I got that response from all three firms that I called, so I went to good ol google to look for other local taxi firms and found Cab My Ride next on the list after those I’d already tried. I’d never heard of them before, but with the logo and website looking very legit and professional, I decided to give them a call.
Speaking to one of their telephone agents, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they could indeed book me a 6 seater! For the initial pick up AND the return journey! I must say I felt pretty smug at bagging such a booking!
On the night of the party (yesterday) there was an issue with the initial pick up: the taxi was stuck in the football traffic and ended up being half an hour late. This was handled in a great manner from a customer service perspective at the cab office and the driver was extremely apologetic when he called me en route and when he arrived. He was absolutely lovely and humoured my friends kids when they excitedly jumped in the taxi, waving and shouting hello at him!
The return journey was on time, in fact Harj was a bit early as he told me when I ran up to the taxi in a little bit of a flap as I was a little late! Harj reassured me it was all good, he’d been keeping himself busy on his phone. Harj was equally as lovely as the first driver: very friendly and chatty, despite the time of night. He was saddened to hear about the earlier issues and again apologised for that, explaining he had also been caught up in that traffic earlier.
Overall, despite the challenge with the first pick up, I can honestly say that I will absolutely be using Cab My Ride again, and I’m saying that as someone who has pretty much stuck to using the same firm for the last 20-odd years! I’ve had some horrendous taxi journeys over the years, with some moody and downright rude drivers at times. From my experience last night, there was none of that, just a genuine nature across the board and a friendly reassuring manner from everyone I spoke to or saw, that put me at ease. I’ve also downloaded their app, which looks good so far. Thank you very much for a great service and I look forward to using you again!

I had left my purse in the back of the taxi and he had contacted us as soon as he noticed I had left it. He then posted my purse back to my home address and within 24 hours I had it back. I am so very grateful for Ijaz's help and exceptional level of care and service, I can not recommend his service enough. Once we had docked on our return, I was able to book a taxi for a specified time. We then found ourselves leaving the ship much earlier than expected. I used the app to ask for the taxi to come as soon as they could manage and our driver was with us in 10 minutes. Fantastic service and we will use this company every time. They even give us loyalty points which can be used to offset future journey costs.

a. d.Had my first bad experience with cab my ride on the 26th august which was a shame. The driver Ali was supposed to arrive at 1:09am (I received a text saying he had arrived with no sign of him) and he then called to tell me how the car had broken down and he would need another 10 minutes to get to me, in which he never arrived with no further update. My experience with the call was a bit unusual when booking the taxi, the reciever was quite rude asking if the road I lived on 'was even real' and generally wasn't very pleasant at all. I had better luck with the company later in the night and have always had great experiences with cab my ride up until then. Will still probably use this company in the future as rates are dirt cheap, just a disappointing night

It started well, with a few messages confirming our booking. Even with a full description of the car that would be picking us up. We were told by two separate people on the phone that our journey would cost between £8 and £9. Great! But that's where this positive review ends.
We got to the cab and got in, it wasn't very clean. Then the driver drove quite erratically at times, we had our 3 year old in the car so felt very uneasy about the driving. And on arriving at our destination the cost for the journey was £14.30!!! Not OK! Will not be using again and i don't recommend them to anyone to use.

J. m.Brilliant service! I was stuck at the train station desperately needing to get back to Bournemouth as my train was cancelled. Being a young girl on my own the taxi drivers on the street try to rip me off straight away charging me a 100£ which I couldn't afford. Luckily a cab my ride driver came along and offered me a fair deal for 50% cheaper. This is what at 00.00 at night so I was extremely thankful to find a cab driver that was willing to help me and not just make money out of me so I could get home safely.

Courteous prompt and friendly driver. He then went above and beyond to return my phone to me when I left it in his car after he had taken me to the airport. Then, he even called me back to check I had recieved the phone.
When I booked the taxi I was sent message to say how long the dricer would be, their name and car registration. The timing was very accurate.
All in all an excellent company and I will definitely use them again.

Other taxi companies in Southampton overcharge and take long pointless routes, but this taxi driver took the shortest route and was really friendly.

d. s.Picked up by the gentleman who owns company. Polite and chatty, very chatty haha. He took us to city centre, and then we had him turn around to Oxford street as we changed our minds. He was not worried and as it was our first ride with us he did it for a tenner. Usually the absolute best I get is about 18. Coming home with a diff firm cost me 23! Even if he had charged me clock it was only 15. Which is something else he advised us on, we must ensure cabs put cab on. Try as we might at the end of the night the other firms cabby insisted it was a flat rate and showed us a card, did not put metre on! Would use cab my ride again definitely !

C. T.I came back on a *very* late train last night and was absolutely knackered, so I jumped into a taxi at Southampton Central. I was immediately impressed by how cheery and friendly the driver, Harjit Sahota, was - especially at that time of the morning! I wasn't going far but we had a great chat and he explained to me how he founded Cab My Ride. It's a really fair business and the rates are fantastic; travelling to Heathrow Airport alone would be over £40 cheaper with Cab My Ride versus other local taxi companies. What's more, their booking app allows you to book taxis, see where they are and even send out an SOS if either the passenger or the taxi driver is in danger. Genius! It's really great to see a business with such passion behind it; I will only use Cab My Ride in Southampton from now on and would highly recommend their service. Thanks again!
