Started using City Cabs for school transport with chaperone service... had lots of issues with lots of other companies.. I have to admit I was expecting the same... but NO... THE DRIVER AND CHAPERONE ARE LOVELY PEOPLE.. they bonded well with my child making his journey a pleasure not a chore.. because his journey is good then rest of his day is good in school.. I'm very happy with these so far.. wish we had them from the start.. driver very happy , pleasant man, chats with my boy.. and chaperone too very happy and friendly and chatty.. thank you 😊

They have the booking app but when you book, the drivers say cash only..then they cancel your booking...meaning they don't pay vat...all cash only...DO NOT USE. UPDATE: This appears to be only true with some of the drivers. I have used City Cabs with drivers who do allow the card payment and do not cancel the booking so it seems it is just certain drivers causing the problem. When I have used them twice recently, the card payment from the app went through, they turned up on time and everything was fine.

We have just been dropped off by coach at junction 15. We had a great driver who has brought 4 people home. Excellent service from the phone call to the homeward journey definitely recommend.😊

Booked taxi via app and the base cancelled it. Rang to find out why and they said they couldn't find booking. Arranged for another taxi, which I was told would be with me in 15 minutes. 30 minutes later no taxi.. rang base again to be told it would be another 20 minutes wait. I'm now 45 minutes late for my appointment.. not good !!!

Motability uses this local firm to ferry their customers about their daily buisness. I Ryan Taylor used them today, so I could pick my partner Chloe's mobility van up from the dealership. I had a nice chat and bit of banter with the driver, who was both polite and friendly. The time and date of my journey was 18/02/2022 at 14:20. Couldn't fault the service I received, as I felt relaxed and chilled on my journey to pick up my partners van. I haven't got the name of your driver to hand, but what I will say, he's a credit to you company 👊🏻😎👌🏻 Thanks City Cabs Stoke

I pre-ordered a taxi from one firm to take me to hospital from Biddulph at £30 - after calling to check on arrival time, I was told their IT system had gone phut and no bookings were visible. I was told that a cab would be with me anyway within 15 minutes and cost would be £25 - 25 minutes later, no cab and had to drive myself to hozzie. After my op (wasn't a good idea to drive myself back after anaesthetic) I called City Cabs and was told 5 minutes to pickup (spot on!) and driver was a good lad (despite being a Wolves supporter! ⚽️🤣). Got home just in time to see LFC reach another Champion's League final for the princely sum of £17.50 - a lot less than the other firm was going to charge for a journey of the same distance. First choice for me in future 👍👍👍.

First time I have used City Cabs but it won't be the last. We needed a taxi with wheelchair access to take my mum to an urgent hospital appointment. The person who answered the call was very helpful and the driver was lovely and so helpful. They really helped us out at a stressful time, many thanks.

Really great service, friendly drivers and normally very fast, but always forward about any long wait times before you book which for me is crucial. It is hard for all taxi companies right now with the lack of drivers so we just cant expect to have everything exactly when we want it at the moment and many are lying saying 5 or 10minutes and you wait an hour or more only to be blamed. At least if the reality of the situation is 45minutes I know and I can plan my time accordingly. Thank you and keep up the great work

They never let you down always within the time they say I even use them to take me to the airport the drivers are always friendly . The base staff are brilliant too

BEST SERVICE I’VE HAD IN A LONG TIME! Long story short ordered a taxi and booked my return aswell because I just needed to drop something to my sisters, firstly needed it 10 mins later than booked so rang up and they were lovely and said that’s fine, driver came bang on time and received a text. Got to my destination and my sister wasn’t home and wasn’t picking up her phone, didn’t want to keep the driver waiting so called base and explained the situation, already paid on card was afraid i’d Be charged more for waiting time but lovely advisors who said I can ring and they will send a taxi when I’m ready to leave and driver will come back, 10 mins later sister came home, called the base and they got a driver to me within 10 mins, and they didn’t charge me extra I’m assuming as good will gesture, honestly every single advisor I rang was lovely, great phone manners and very understanding, did not expect company to go this far for customers and do that little extra which they did, I really appreciate how fast everything was done and dealt with no faffing about, I don’t usually write reviews but I feel city cabs Went that extra mile for me and gave great customer service. Thank you guys my new favourite taxi company!
