Reviews of Seaview Holiday Park
So, me and my kids have been coming here since 2016 and this has been an amazing trip! The kids enjoyed the arcade, the shows, and, most important of all, the caravan. It was massive! And Seaview Holiday Park has changed since 7 years ago. Before, we had a holiday home here and it was amazing! The swimming pools were closed so we couldn’t go in them. There was 2 single beds in 1 room but in the other room was a double bed. The only problem I had was that the lock didn’t work… but no one came in. Apart from that, this weekend holiday was the best time of the month! Thank you Seaview?
We have just returned from a 2 night weekend stay in the pods at sea view. Overall, we had a lovely time. The pods are in a great setting right near to the beach and although basic, it was exactly what you would expect, with the added benefit of electricity.
I can’t comment on any food or service in the restaurant as we had a bbq one night and ate out the other. The toilets and showers certainly weren’t the cleanest I’ve ever been to but were not really awful either. They were easily accessible from the pods.
It was glorious weather on the Saturday and our kids were desperate to use the outdoor pool. As soon as we arrived to the pool area, the attendant was laying down the law and telling everyone off before they even got in. I was told that my two children (although bigger than me and both better swimmers than me, age 11 and 13) had to have an adult physically in the pool with them. I couldn’t sit at the side with in easy reach, I found this ridiculous as the water barely went past their waists and they are both competent swimmers. This wasn’t really the problem, I understand rules are rules but the attendant was very rude and abrupt and caused a terrible atmosphere in which should have been a fun experience. The kids were having a great time to start with but after being told off every 2 minutes with a new petty rule it took the enjoyment out of it. Someone else nearly had the audacity to put a rubber ring in the water, they were immediately shut down and it was removed. One person tried to take a photo (of her own daughter) having fun, she was reprimanded. They couldn’t jump in, they couldn’t be kids and enjoy themselves. We left after about 30 minutes, which is a shame, we don’t get many opportunities to swim in an outdoor pool in England but the attendant put a huge dampener on it for everybody there. So if you are lucky and have nice enough weather to use the outdoor pool, if you have children, don’t go along there thinking they can enjoy themselves. Not on her watch anyway!
The other thing that left a bad taste in our mouths with the holiday park is that our new football and one of the kids scooters went missing, never to be seen again. Just a warning if you are going to stay there to keep a close eye on your stuff. Granted, it was probably left laying around (as kids do) but we’ve never found this a problem before.
So all in all, we had a very pleasant stay in a great location, despite the rude, overzealous pool attendant and the (presumably stolen) scooter and football.
Staying just off site but have walked through the park. Staff very helpful and friendly. Accommodation looks really good.
Camping pods are beautiful.
We would stay here again. Could do with security at peak times due to large groups of teenagers between 10pm and 12pm shouting and swearing and we had young children trying to sleep but there is a post midnight quiet policy in place and this was in the main no issue. We would stay again. The pool is so warm its like a bath.
Liked: The pod was great, and in a good location next to the beach. Toilet/shower block was clean and close-by.
Disliked: It’s a bit of a walk into Whitstable, but we were prepared for this!
Liked: a lot of the staff were really nice, clean facilities but very few people staying there so maybe that wax a factor.
Disliked: very basic.. not cheap at all and food is awful.
Lovely site! Staff amazing and friendly. I booked a touring pitch for 1 night, exactly one week before, this was a treat for my granddaughter she couldn't come on the day as ended up at urgent care with urine infection, there was no way I could take her like this, tried to move to following week but not possible as it was within a week of booking. I wasn't going to throw money away so went alone but really disappointed with the booking principles!
Nice clean well appointed caravan, could have been cleaner. Location next to the beach is superb. Cheryl at reception was very helpful. Oven was a huge let down as we had no heat meaning our meal plans were scuppered.
Great location. Good facilities. Swimming pool disappointing. Families repeatedly got turned away due to a limit on permissible numbers. Got put on a list and we finally got in for about an hour on the third attempt. Once in, the kids loved the very warm water and enjoyed themselves. Surely during school holidays when the site is booked close to capacity extra cover is warranted to keep the pool open when one lifeguard is taking their lunch hour. Otherwise, we had a great stay with good facilities and recommend it.
Liked: The pod was lovely the area and park was lovely staff friendly
Disliked: The food was awful and. Very over priced
It's a caravan park. . It's quite nice . ..the clubhouse is very big plays music but takes seems like ages to get a drink even when its quiet. . . ..the park is very peaceful & you can go for long walks there dog friendly
Seaview Holiday Park.... What a real GEM to find. Fabulous location on the Seafront.. walking distance either left to Whitstable or right to Herne Bay.
The park was easy to find, although the road down to the park was a tad narrow, so be careful.. plus no pavement either for walking (although we walked with no problems)
Check in was swift and smooth, the lady was very polite and helpful. We were pleased to know that the shower/toilet block was locked using a code and there was a barrier for vehicles both in and out of the park. Security looked good.
We toured here in our campervan for 5 nights (Sun-Fri), our pitch was hardcore with grass to the side. We had an electric hook up in easy reach with drinking water taps. We were a little concerned that the taps were situated alongside the electric on the same unit.. albeit it didn't actually cause any problems.
The other campers were all very friendly too, a really lovely pleasant atmosphere, loved it.
We struggled to find the bins, or any signage to assist. Having walked around we located one industrial type bin enclosed in fencing, heading from the toilet block to the seawall and further ones to the left, again towards the seawall. Having found them, all was good.
We never used the pool or the facilities of the bar/restaurant, shop or laundrette so cannot comment. To use the pool however, you still needed to book a slot, we did hear people complaining about the system but not sure of the details as to why.
So, in terms of the shower/toilet block.. the idea of code entry is fantastic but unfortunately it would appear the door was not kept shut; therefore accessible to everyone. This led to children 'playing' inside with bits of wood, and dogs off leads just wandering in.. (one being large and intimidating with an unpleasant owner).. It would appear the park team are trying to keep the place safe and clean, but clearly other people are letting them down, we were puzzled as to why the security guy always walked by, leaving the doors wide open though? Another oddity at night the out barrier was often raised and vehicles entering just used this to get in.
The shower/toilet block itself was ok in terms of clean, but more could be done. Some parks have squeegees for guests to use to remove the excess water. There were none here, so the dry area ended up being wet, and with dirty shoes made it unclean to step into. The toilets were cleaned, but from what we saw, too much time was spent buffing the sinks than cleaning the showers, the shower tray/grate or plug hole part.
The showers were push button, powerful enough and warm-hot temperature; lovely.
There was a washing up area and easy to use chemical waste point. It was a shame that other users didn't clean up after their use, bottles of beer, cigarette butts left on the draining board, along with food debris in the plug. Once again the park and staff let down by others here.
The grounds of the park were immaculate and groundsman was cutting the grass at various times around movement of campers.
There were two pubs in walking distance, The Hampton Inn (along seafront towards Hearne Bay) and The Plough (Head back out of the main entrance), enjoyed a drink in both during our stay.
We also used a lovely Chinese; A&R Chinese, who delivered to us at the entrance, we would use again when we stay next.
All in all... an amazing park for touring. A great location. All of the staff were really helpful, amazing, fabulous and friendly... It was a real shame to witness a couple of caravan users being abusive to staff, really unnecessary and rude. As far as we are concerned the staff were really trying their best and were lovely. We will certainly be returning here.. Great, great, great site.
Thank you
Very friendly staff here, we had a wonderful stay here. My son loved Loopy and Lucy who were very kind and friendly. Good basic food in a pleasant bar. Try the breakfast its excellent and sets you up for the long day enjoying the area. We will be back soon.
We visited family here, we didn't see much of the park, but what we did see was clean, tidy and friendly staff. Really loved playing the bingo. Good entertainment for kids and adults. Static caravan at sea view is on the cards
Stayed here a few times while having building work done at home. Ended up buying a caravan here. The site is level with easy access. There is a ramp to get to the sea wall and pebble beach. If you are fit enough you can walk along the sea wall to Whitstable and Herne Bay. A lot of work has been done here in the past year, entertainment complex is now bigger and better and New children's play area. Area's of caravan's and lodge's have been built. Only problem on the park is, not enough parking.
Great location. 5 minute walk from the sea and slap bang between whitstable bay and hearne bay. The first having great oyster bars, quaint little shops and a nice habour markwt on the weekends. Overall a lovely place to stay especially CG017
Great place for spending time with family and friends 🤩wonderful location with beautiful views.Everything what you need is here 🌞🦭🐾
A well run site, with good modern caravans to hire. Parking in not next to the caravans, but not far to walk. The club looked pleasant, but specialises in national brands of keg beers, so I did not drink there. The Plough pub nearby is quite good. We liked the location because of proximity to the frequent Stagecoach bus route "Triangle" which runs late into the evening to Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury.
Lovely holiday park on the coadt between Whitable and Herne Bay. Good selection of caravans and lodges for purchase. Clubhouse and swimming pool to chill down. Also pods and hard standings with electrical hook ups. Great sales team on site. Shout out to Brad Greer who is so professional, helpful and friendly.
Stall holder at the monthly craft event, used the facilities, clean and well kept, a really pretty location!
Lovely area, walking distance of the town/beach/pubs, friendly staff and fellow holiday makers, would recommend to anyone for a nice break away from it all
We love and Seaview caravan park. Something have changed in the park, mainly the restaurant and shop, both need working on.
I stayed on touring section and parents hired a static. lighting and signage around the site really poor. Site seems set up for statics more than tourers. Shower block needs lighting outside, especially the ladies as it is secluded around the back of building. you require a 6 digit code to open the showers/toilets but couldn't see the buttons to see the pass code at night. The men's toilets ran out of toilet paper on the Saturday night, still not replenished by the Sunday, I called the number for out of hours caretaker, I was put through to security to whom I explained the problem, he told me that they had no toilet paper in their toilet either. Despite other reviews i've read, I found club house prices reasonable.
Absolutely loved this site. Very clean and tidy facilities. But the clubhouse was the star of the show, we had the best night with great entertainment from the staff. 100% recommended
I probably will never go back here again. So the memory will always be a good one with our dear friend Graham RIP. He was what made it such a great visit, so kind so accommodating and always thinking of others. I think and miss you every single day. A JD and coke to you my dear friend.
one of the best places to visit with family in summer.
We stayed in pod
just giving one star less for the common bathrooms a bit dirty
I was pleased with what I saw when I visited here it's very clean and everyone I spoke to was very friendly there's plenty to do when lockdown is finally lifted the site sits right on the beach with its own slipway it also has camping pods which look amazing very clean and tidy nice size club house swimming pool and other attractions on site Herne Bay and Whitstable sea front attractions not to far away I would highly recommend staying for a long weekend or a week or two probably one of the nicest seaside parks around.happy holidays
Better than expected, clean facilities, pool, shop. Very windy, open field camper section but large pits. Ideal for bike/hike to tours to the city or along the coast.
Nice park club house is basic nice swimming pool but check if it's on time slots due how busy that are a small shop for bead milk ect on sea front a nice prom to walk to hearnbay or Whitstable very central
We loved it here nice club house small swimming pool and children's play park and lovely walking along the sea wall staff very friendly we hope to go again
Nice site, nice clean caravan. But the entertainment venue needs a bit of TLC and not very clean, the staff were friendly but slow at clearing and cleaning the tables and it wasn't busy!
Lovely caravan park.
Clubhouse not bad. needs childrens pop songs for the mini disco hour...
Nice and relaxed, well kept park. Very close to the beach, nice areas to walk felt very safe as well.
Not enough toilet/showers for motorhome/camping area. Only 4 of each, if in height of season could be over 200 people using these facilities
Love this place currently on holiday here been here for a week got another to go currently camping which we do every year entertainment is brilliant the staff are lovely
It was lovely even the entertainment staff dave and maisie great week down there and to finish this there were things on every day
Loved the pod as did my nieces, swimming pool clean and toasties, clubroom food mediocre but evening entertainment child friendly
Enjoyed my evening at Seaview caravan park. First day of opening after Lockdown, and all was well organized.
Great swimming pool
Near the beach
Great fun club house
Friendly and fun atmosphere
Loved it
When look at an canvan at Seaview canvan Park the sales stuff are very friendly
Absolutely love this place as I used to live here back in 2012
Very clean holiday park, bar staff at the club house are very friendly and polite, overall...very pleasant holiday park
Brilliant, it has everything you need, pool, club house, shops. Everybody is friendly.....love it....
Great place for a holiday. Could do with a bigger sized swimming pool
Great value, location, children's facilities, close to beach, lovely lodge
A small problem on arrival caravan not ready a replacement was soon putready for us
A decent clean and friendly park
Amazing, lovely people too.
Lovely
Favorite: 2 nights, the cabin is very quiet. The staff is friendly.
Disliked: The showers are very inconvenient and very dirty. The path to the cabin isn't lit at night.
A beautiful campsite right on the seafront, but only from the campsite meadows does direct sea views. The sanitary facilities are adequate, but were cleaned too infrequently during our three-day stay. Whitstable, with its excellent fish restaurants, is easily accessible on foot or by bike along the shore path.
Great property. Very clean house. Great view.
Came here for the first time this weekend with my sons rugby team on a rugby tour. I haven't stayed in a caravan since I was a kid, and my son never has. It really did surpass my expectations!!! We stayed in CE13 and the caravan was perfect! Really clean, well equipped with a full size oven, grill, gas cooker, extractor fan, microwave and fridge freezer! The only issue we had was a faulty bathroom door handle that locked us out of the bathroom when we were in a rush to get to a rugby game!
The pool is heated to 31 degrees, it's honestly feels like a bath!
The wonderful people who work in the clubhouse are so friendly. There is a young lady named either Leanne or Lauren who in particular was an absolute delight. My son always enjoyed his interactions with her when he exchanged his arcade tickets for prices.
Location is amazing. Direct access onto the beach from the carvan park, with Tankerton, Herne Bay and Whitstable all within walking distance.
We enjoyed the caravan park so much we rebooked again for this bank holiday and will be returning exactly a week later!
Stayed at a lovely caravan for almost two months one summer back with my son. Had such a memorable stay too with early morning rises with my coffee cup in hand by the seafront while my son scooted around. Caught every sunset too walking on the boardwalk by the sea. Highly recommend.
Great place amazing market first sunday of every month with the most amazing smoked cheese
Great position very large site
Lovely holiday, kids love it, there's lots to do. Bring a bit of cash for the extras (bingo, launderette, shop, ice cream, arcade.. etc) Pod was clean, staff were wonderfully helpful and friendly. 🌅
Lovely holiday park. Perfect for a quiet break. Not much to do on park but nice friendly staff. Ideally situated for trips to Whitstable & Margate. Caravan was fantastic & a great price
Glad to see toilets and shower room all updated , And of course the club house,
how everr I do feel there should be a warden walking around to make sure everyone is keeping there noise down as well as keeping it tidy ,
As people when in big groups do start swearing and Children are very near by it makes people feel very unconfortable,
but over all nice place to be .
Park was ok but no where to eat with the dog. Caravan was basic but ok apart from ants in the room and a rotten radiator in the bathroom
Just home from a fab weekend, took a camper van, Thurs. eve. to today, great location, we were lucky to have such amazing weather in early April, looking forward to returning some time, loved it
Love this place for the kids. Nice outside play area, amusements, disco and games of an evening, cash bingo which can have huge prizes, entertainment and bar. Great!!!
The camping pod was brilliant and spacious and right nest the sea, going to book again soon.
Lovely site with good facilities but the best thing about it was the view over the sea from our tent pitch
Beautiful little holiday park, immediately on the seafront 👌 sausage with breakfast were a bit rank, clearly below 60% meat everything else fab budget getaway
Great location, but the park itself is a bit tired.
Friendly quiet place. Very good for camping. Very clean shower block and laundry ! Good food in the club house.
Excellent staff, everything was so well cleaned and in these circumstances today with coronavirus, felt very impressed and comfortable.
Perfect place for me if you want a quite place and stress free holiday.
Very clean and the staff where very helpful it's next to the beach with a bar and entertainment on site.
Absolutely love this place, staff are brilliant & fantastic with kids. Always been made welcome.
Staff great. Views are amazing pebble beach but that said absolutely stunning place to visit
It was a lovely place tidy and clean good club house nice places on site e.t.c.
Nice place. Lots of facilities. Heated pool. Beatiful nature around. Windy place due its location
Decent site , but £6 for a pint of Guinness / John Smiths , a rip off , no wonder the clubhouse is empty !
My favourite place all the time as I'm a resident,summer heres a must,fishing swimming,running & everything else
Simple but beautifully placed. Very disorganised bar/clubhouse. Friendly staff.
Lovely place to go and stay very clean and very friendly staff, great walks along the beach love it.
