I had an excellent experience with this taxi company, in one of their large, minibus taxis, not a limousine. My taxi arrived only 5 minutes after I'd rang up to request it, and my driver (Simon) couldn't have been more helpful to me. I have mobility issues, you see, and he was very patient and caring when I was getting in and out of the taxi. He was sociable, too. Highly recommended!

Best cab company in York. I have used their services, personally for three years and they’ve never been anything but reliable, and extremely professional. Calls are always answered in a friendly manner too, which historically is unheard of in their industry ;) Now use them lots for the hotel I work for too ! They are always extremely punctual and courteous with all our guests. Thanks to all concerned.

Always punctual, with polite drivers who really do their way around the city. The system tells you that the taxi has arrived, complete with registration number which can be useful on occasions. Also easy to book by phone, rarely have they been unable to supply a car for the time required. My first choice every time.

Streamline provide an excellent service at a reasonable cost, and have never let me down - the taxis have always arrived on time, with a helpful reminder that the car is on its way and the ability to track its arrival. The drivers have all been very professional and pleasant, as are the reception staff when booking a trip. I have to take one of my cats to the vet for regular blood tests, and it have never been a problem to book a trip with a driver who is willing to take cats, and to wait to take us home after the appointment. I would highly recommend Streamline if you would like to have a stress-free taxi journey!

Was advised they took dogs which they do but when I rang at 5.30pm to book a taxi for seven I was informed that the only dog driver had gone off duty. Nearly missed the last bus and would have been stranded in York. Be warned! Driver who picked us up was lovely, couldn't fault him.

I used Streamline in the morning of 23/03 to get from my hotel to York hospital and the taxi arrived promptly, driver very good and a reasonable price. Then later in the day my other half had to collect me from the hospital. The lady driver could not have been more helpful to my partner. Advised her to call me and if I could be outside she would take us straight to the station so that we didn't miss the earlier train. Fantastic service and would highly recommend this taxi firm.

I often hire this taxi company and not even a single time they ever disappoint me! They always come on time, many times come even earlier, the drivers are all polite. Not like other taxi companies who sometimes fully booked, Streamline has more cars than them therefore they can always deliver the service even when I book last minute. I guess my experience is different (read: better) than the other users

Other reviews are a bit old so I shall ensure that this is cleared up nicely! Drivers arrive on time, help with luggage and are polite conversers during the journey. Safe drivers, know the area and excellent communication from the central office at the time of booking. These reviews are one sided and you never hear from the firm's point of view. Give them some credit and write a review as they deserve better exposure than the 1.4 stars awarded.

More to the point, our friendly driver appeared later on in the evening at the venue to return my front door key, which had fallen unnoticed out of my small evening bag as I dug down for his fare and which he had found on the floor of the taxi! I dont understand these bad reviews at all. Ive been using streamline now for 3 years. Never once had a problem. York is a very busy place especially on race days so you would expect some delay. They have their own rank at the races which is easier than pre booking in my opinion, on them days. The operator does sometimes appear rude , maybe because they are so busy they dont have time to chat or she may just be rude! Polite drivers , know where they are going and fair prices.

I often use Streamline first thing on a morning (during rush hour traffic and it's always a last minute booking) from Dean Court Hotel going to Acomb (to my work). The operators are always friendly and always send the driver to me straight away. The drivers are always on time (5-10mins wait until they get to me) and they are always friendly and can you a good conversation with them. I have never had any problems with Streamline and will continue to use them.

Friendly and efficient service thank you

Had a disagreement with one of streamline's drivers today whilst out on my motorbike. He chirped into something that he had misread and had nothing to do with. A lady pulled out in front of me causing me to emergency break, she then mouthed some obscenities at me and continued to drive off. I decided to follow her to the next lights, having no idea what gear I was in after my emergency stop I nearly stalled setting off again so quickly pulled the clutch in which made th bike rev, I then landed in neutral whilst trying to get down to first gear, again revving the bike. When she stopped I said through her passenger window, "you need to be more careful love, always look twice for bikes". She nodded and apologised and that should have been it. The situation didn't need streamline taxi's driver to start having a go at me accusing me of trying intimidate a woman, saying whilst clapping his hands "well done, what a big man, intimidating a woman", I tried to explain what was going on but he was in full night in shining armour mode and not listening. So why three stars? Well, it's good that he is willing to stick up for a woman, but not great that he's unwilling to listen. So my apologies if it looked worse than it was, but if someone tries to calmly explain something, you should at least try listen.
