I have used John Cooper Derby for the past couple of years for all the maintenance on my Nissan 370z, having previously been let down by a main dealer. I have always been delighted with the service received, never more so than today when they fit me in without an appointment for an emergency battery replacement. The work was all done less than 2 hours after I first contacted the garage to say I was coming in. Dan, Darren, I can't thank you enough - I'll be a customer for life!

Excellent service every time. Really helpful, polite and pleasant chaps. Used them the first time when my girlfriend got let down by another garage and I haven’t looked back. I take all my cars to them for MOT, diagnostics and repairs. They have always taken the time to explain any issues and are happy to discuss the potential options, being open and honest. I truly recommend anyone gives them a shout for anything. It’s great to use somewhere where they give you the time of day and a professional and personal service!

Absolutely fantastic experience! Very honest, professional and fast! I punctured my tyre while being 5 min away from the garage. The team was busy, but In 15 min my tyre was repaired! They didn't go straight away for a new tyre, but first checked if it would be possible possible to fix it. Thus, they saved me about £70 ! Thank you so much for your help and caring attitude towards the customers! Now I know where to go with my car when I am in Derby.

I've only good words for Dan and his business. My car needed a new timing chain (amongst other issues). After faulty parts being sent by the supplier, Dan ensured that it was taken care of, providing me with a much needed courtesy car for the whole duration. My car has never run so nicely. Went to John Cooper because my 10 year's old golf suspension was making some creaking noises and the ride was choppy.Dan the owner checked it over for safety and lubricating it, change the anti-roll link on one-sided now it back the smooth ride I love.Gone to anywhere else probably wants me to put new shock absorbers or worse.It's been a week, gone up and down the A38 handle great no problems whatsoever.Thanks Dan. Will be back again hopefully not too soon.Lol

I first used this garage in the late 1970s when John was at the helm and it's just as good now as it was then, which is the highest compliment I can think of. They went over my daughter's dubious MoT advisories (from a well-known quick chain) this week, gave excellent advice on the spot and fixed her brakes the following day. Professional, friendly and thoroughly recommended by me. They also have an interesting selection of cars in too, which is another recommendation. in my book

Passionate, professional and all round great service at John Cooper. been here several times for my Tyre's and never disappointed. Helpful advice to boot!! Normally use CMC Chesterfield for service and Tyre's and found them to be expensive and always to busy to book you in when you need. but I will be using these even more now Great work John Cooper Derby

Recommended these guys by a mate and he wasn't wrong. Brilliant service from start to finish and the work was first class. Made to feel valued as a customer from the first phone call and they did the job that was best on my pocket by repairing (more work for them) and not just replacing parts that I didn't need. A proper garage that I cannot recommend to anyone enough. Will be going there for everything in the future.

Both my wife & I take our vehicles to JC's; we wouldn't go anywhere else for a Service, MOT or Repair, including tyres. The guys at JC's are Customer Service Champions. My wife just called-in, while she was out & about, because she was told by another motorist that her brake-light was out. Minutes later, bulb replaced, she was driving away from Chandos Pole Street. I booked my bike in for new tyres which were not in stock 6 minutes before closing. It’s the first time I’ve not used a main dealer. From start to finish all in all great customer focused service. Fitted tyres to bike following day, within 1 hour. I went to the barbers whilst work was being done, so could even have been quicker, not that it matters. I’ve also booked my bike in for my MOT, plus other little jobs and as I’m out of the country, they are picking up and returning for me. I asked if there was anything else that needed doing. A look was had and no was the answer. Basically he didn’t try to rip me off. If the service and workmanship is the same in December I’ll be coming back for the foreseeable future.

My clutch failed while I was away in holiday causing me alot of stress, but once I had got my car back to Derby I rang a couple of garages one of then being John Coopers. I spoke to a very pleasant man called Dan who straight away made me feel at ease and in safe hands. He walked me through all my options first and gave me a ball park figure of what I was looking to pay before they had even seen the car (no other garages did). I agreed for them to take my car on, they came and recovered my car for my home and even waited for me to get back from the shops as I needed to get milk and didnt realise the time!! I was then called later on that day with what was needed to be done and an exact cost which was more than I could fully afford but I was then told about the 4 month Interest free credit option to help me spread the payments. With all said and done I gave my consent and a day later I had the call to say it was all done. I picked the car up, paid my bill and signed up for the credit option which was no hassle at all and before I knew it I was driving back home in what felt like a new car 😊 as a women I honestly have never felt so relaxed and at ease at a garage before, with how everything was explained about why and what was replaced in away I fully understood to the fantastic service I received. I will be returning here from now on for anything todo with my car. Thank you to all at the garage! highly recommend!!!!
