My Mum always uses them and rates highly. Thought maybe I would need a new battery which was quoted at £110 to be fitted. But after a quick check over it was only the terminal connector. Was advised to take it on a long drive a battery fine but just needs recharging. Brilliant - other places would have been quick to charge me for a replacement. Will use again :)

Absolutely fantastic service! I had an issue with my dust caps and a flat tyre thinking I'd have to replace the whole tyre and leaving the other 3 with corroded dust caps, after a quick phone call I was advised to have my valves replaced which cost a lot less and solved the problem. From initially speaking on the phone to leaving with 4 new valves it only took 1 hour. Fantastic service and reasonably priced, will use again.

Ive had a few tyres changed here and the service has always been top class with the work carried out to a high standard and quickly. I went in today for a small of cut of exhaust for a upcoming project I have and the gentleman behind the counter was happy to help.

Firstly I had to book a time to take the exhaust ion my Fiat car which is odd as normally you can do this when passing by. I came at the apointed time and was told it was just a sealing job that needed doing for £35. I was told I had to wait 2 hours for this to be done but 1 hour later was informed that actually the back box and manifold pipe needed changing which would cost £198 and would have to bring it back the next day. I was in two minds about doing the work as the car is very old and near the end of its life. I decideded to take it back and in fact the cost of the work was £205. After waiting longer than the 1 hour wait time I was then told that the another part of the exhuast needed changing too. I said that should have told me that yesterday but they said it only became apparent once removing the old exhaust. And that would cost another £70. After admitting that I only had £220 on me they accepted and to be honest their overall price is fair but its the way they go about it. I witnessed one guy being asked for more money because a job was more difficult re a tyre than they thought and a second tyre could not be repaired after all and would need to be replaced. I have heard stories since from my mechanic that people go there being quoted one price and then being given excuses to up the price. I waited 2 hours as well which is the double the expected wait time. The job seems to have been done properly with no noise or smoke and the staff were polite and there was a nice waiting room. A free coffee machine and a working TV would have been nice

Edit - more than happy to say I got a call following this to apologise and offered to rectify the issue, service was great and much appreciate a business owning their mistake and offering a solution. Thank you! Prices are fair enough but didn’t actually get served - booked a tyre fitting online for a Friday morning, got a phone call shortly after to say they would have to pick up the correct tyre from another branch so could I do the afternoon - this was a day I booked as annual leave (as a working parent free time is in short supply) but I moved around plans for my day and agreed. The gent said he would call me to let me know when the tyre was there so I could come in when I was able to. That’s the last I heard! No call or any other kind of acknowledgement so I’ve booked elsewhere rather than chase somewhere that doesn’t want the business. A shame as our previous experiences were fine but I wouldn’t go back now.

This is the best tyre shop I've used and after moving from Aylestone to Groby, I soon went back to using them as my go to. As a national courier I get through a set of tyres every 2-3 months so can speak from experience when I say they sell decent tyres at very competitive prices, especially if you take the time to pre-order as their range is broader than what they keep in stock, although you can Rock up and get sorted with no fuss too. The service is where they really shine though. After a tyre blowout and emergency tyre swap a few weeks ago, I went down there to get the balancing done. They told me the wheel was damaged so not practical to balance. I went back next day with a new wheel and they swapped my tyre onto the new wheel and balanced it at a great price and turned it around quickly too. Back on the road earning and a happy customer. I don't go anywhere else if I can help it and if you're local, neither should you!

Ive just had my MOT done here and i’m honestly so impressed. i went in with my ABS light on with the knowledge that it was more than likely the module and would fail straight away. As i’m 20 and female i had my doubts about going in on my own and getting a quote for it. When waiting i was told it could be £600-£700 to be fixed. The man came out to tell me it had passed! It ended up being a wire connection that in the end was only £40 to fix on top of my MOT. i feel awful for having my doubts but am very thankful they were so helpful and understanding.

I had major exhaust work done last month and they did a great job and explained the details. A few weeks later I heard a persistant rattling noise and I assumed it was a loose screw by the sounds. This is my ‘go to’ place for tyres, the staff are helpful and friendly and as a woman as you are often intimidated going to a garage as they often assume you know nothing about cars, I feel comfortable here and feel they give you options and allow you to make the decision. Very good prices too, they also fit brakes and do services so useful one stop place. Good location with easy access and parking. They do get busy though so always be prepared to wait.

Honestly, without a doubt one of the best garages I’ve used. I have no idea about cars, and often at other places I’ve often not felt ‘right’ about things being said, and 2 days later have come out with problems that didn’t exist before I went in! The guys here are absolutely wonderful. Really down to earth and they are always honest, have patience for you, never hesitant to explain the problem and their opinion of what’s best. Really genuine team who just have you and getting your vehicle back on the road in mind. I’m so so so glad I’ve found them. I couldn’t get in to get my issue sorted at first (first time ever, this was just post lockdown, usually I just rock up and they sort it ASAP) Since they were busy, rather than going elsewhere I got insured on my partners car so I could come another day to get mine sorted. I have no idea the names of half the car parts. I’m completely ignorant, and they never judge me for this, just help to work out what the problem is so it can be sorted. I had a flat tyre, drove in with no prior booking. It was very busy but organised. I was dealt with in a very professional and covid safe manner. I was efficiently, in and out within 20 minutes. Polite staff. Well done lads.

Perfect service and advice. After my service I even asked them to quote for additional work. The guy from behind the reception desk came out and I pointed out my number plate holder that was coming off on one side - which had been before my service. He said give me a sec went and got a screwdriver and sorted it out there and then and fixed it within a min - no charge. They also didn't try to sell the fix to me after when I went to pay for the service so I didn't feel pressured. I also had an engine warning light come on a few days prior. I paid extra for the diagnostics - which is fine. I asked them to quote for what it had identified and they said it isn't something that they can fix. However, they must have fixed indirectly during the service as it's all sorted now, which is very nice. Highly recommended and will 100% be back, even though it's a 15min drive each way and there are tonnes of other garages closer. Can't recommend enough.

Matt identified a problem with the car engine management system that hadn’t been picked up at last service at another garage, and that needs Ford specialist garage to look at.

Outstanding as always. I had an accident due to the conditions where the front drivers side wheel was damaged beyond repair, i drove it straight to Mr Tyres and they were more helpful than i could have ever expected. They removed the damage one and put on the space saver for me right there and then and charged me... £0.00! I couldn't believe it and once I'd acquired a replacement they said for me to bring it down whenever I wanted and they would do it there and then (which they did). The staff are friendly and extremely helpful which they have been repeatedly for the 5 years that I've used them. Finding an honest, truthful and reliable garage isn't easy but Mr Tyres are most definitely one of the good guys in the trade, there's never any hidden charges with these guys too which is good. If you (like me) are sceptical of garages and their honesty due to past negative experiences then i can openly and honestly say that Mr Tyres should be your first port of call... i guarantee that they won't let you down and you won't be charged through the nose either. They don't charge loads for little extras, they are extremely helpful and have transformed my car, it has never run so smoothly. Opted for a powerflow exhaust instead of a direct replacement, as it was only an extra £80, and has a lifetime guarantee. It sounds great. Overall a fantastic customer service experience and the best I have ever had in the motor trade. Don't be put off if they don't answer the phone straight away, as they get really busy and I can see why! just leave a voicemail or send them a quick email and they will get back to you very quickly. A pleasant enough experience purchasing 2 new tyres for my van. Promptly served and happy with the price. Pleasant clean comfortable waiting room. Then I was told my tracking was out and needed adjusting. I said go ahead and agreed to pay the extra. While waiting it seemed everybody else's tracking also needed adjusting. When I got home I had a look under my van and could see no evidence of the track rod ends being adjusted or having even been touched. While initially thinking I was getting a good cheep deal. Now I am not so sure.

Avoid for custom exhausts and welding. Had to return car multiple times due to exhaust blowing from the weld they made. Gave up in the end and just lived with the problem as I felt like a pain in the ass having to keep complaining about the same issue repeatedly. If the job I paid for was done correctly the first time, I would have been a happy customer. Their customer service is fair though, they didn't grumble and did attempt to put the job right so the stars there are for customer service.

Went there to swap around front and rear tyres and for a wheel alignment as well. Was told that both front and rear wheels need aligning. After getting the car back instantly noticed a pull to the left. So I returned there after 5 minutes and told the mechanic about this issue. He tried to persuade me that it was "because of the curve of the road, for the water to drain off"... So after while received the keys back. It was still the same. The car was pulling to the left, so now I have to keep the steering wheel a slightly turned right in order to go straight. Went back there again the following week and witnessed all the adjustments, and it was done spot on. But stil there was a pull to the left and after several attempts and test drives, the service agreed for a refund. Staff was helpful and forthcoming, the guys do their job great. Now have to go main dealer to investigate the cause of the problem.
