I used Hometyre to replace the TPMS sensors on my car. Craig was excellent. The install had some technical issues, but he was totally focused on getting me the right solution, rather than purely installing the new sensors and leaving. Short notice visit by Craig, who efficiently and professionally resolved an on going tyre pressure sensor issue in double quick time, with no fuss, and also went the extra mile to not only recognised another issue on another wheel, but found time to resolve that too. Great service from the team including booking in the vehicle all the way through to the wheels back on the car. Craig spotted a problem with the alloy itself which had not been mentioned during the last service or when I had had put tyres on the car only a few weeks before. The alloy was clearly buckled by a pot hole on the inside rim. He arranged to get this repaired and fitted back on the car. The car is quieter on the road and handling has significantly improved. This is the third time I’ve used Hometyre after initially needing someone urgently to fix a puncture the day I was moving house. I have since had pit hole trouble twice and have used them for the tyre repair/replacement. From calling up to Craig fitting the tyre, it is all professional and reasonably priced. I’ve never had to wait more than 24hours for an appointment and he arrives early or on time. I would highly recommend Hometyre.

Hi Craig Can I just say I was very impressed with the speed of response to my initial enquiry on the phone . I called at about 08.30 in the morning having been brought home the night before by GreenFlag. I explained that I needed my car for later in the day to get to work. You were already busy but managed to find time to fit me in. You arrived at about 09.15 and completed the work efficiently and speedily, offering me advice about my tyre as well. The price charged was very fair as well so as a customer I was very happy indeed. I would not hesitate to use Hometyre again in the future.

This is a very useful service if you are a busy professional and can't really take the car to a garage during working hours. They will make an appointment with you and come out to your home/work car park to fix tyres or reprogram the dreaded TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System). This is one of the few companies that does this, kudos to them. Getting one of these sensors replaced and reprogrammed is not that straightforward unless you take the car to the main dealer - independent garages won't do it. Failure of one of these sensors is MOT failure nowadays. Unfortunately, the company could do much better. They were late for the first appointment (couldn't find the car park), didn't get the job done right so had to come over again, didn't get it quite right that time either so had to do some DIY sensor reset in the car menu myself. At £87 (incl VAT) I would expect better service.
