Was recommended by a friend to Portswood Tyres a few years back and have never used anyone else since. Byron the owner is really nice and always sorts me out a good deal on either new or excellent part worns. I have checked around and no one has ever beaten the price. Everyone is always very friendly and helpful and have got me out of a few situations when I have had an unexpected puncture which they will try to fix first before offering a new tyre. Personally I wouldn't go anywhere else. Keep up the good work!

Good quality part worn tyres and good service too. Only issue sometimes they say cash only and send you to a cashpoint at local shop that charge £1 for withdrawals. Ideally prefer not to use cash during Covid. They should at least have a sign for Cash Only. Tyres change is normally during free time or urgency so want get in and out asap this cash system becomes a long task. Otherwise decent people and good business.

I pitched up at Portswood Tyres with what i thought was a slow puncture. The technician had tyre off in a few mins to reveal a screw embedded in the tyre (not visable without taking tyre off). Needed two tyres for my wife's car but had the guy check the condition of the rest. He pointed out bad cracking in the tyre wall of a third which I agreed was not good. I felt it was an honest assessment so was happy to go ahead. When the tyres were fitted they moved the one good front tyre to the boot as the spare so I had matching Continentals at the front which I thought was a nice touch. I went with part worns so the price for three tyres came in the same as a quote I had for a single new tyre from Kwikfit so really pleased. Thanks Portswood Tyres.

On the advice of some friends I visited Portswood tyres after noticing a slow puncture on my front tyre. After finding the leak was from the air inlet valve, they ordered a replacement part for the following day and repaired it with minimal fuss and a fraction of the price I would have been charged direct at Mercedes. Friendly staff, clear explanations and all round highly professional service, particularly the main guy Byron I think - really nice bloke! I couldn't have been more pleased and will not be using anyone else in the future. Would recommend to all.

Fantastic service! Phone up as I had a flat tyre (with spare on it at the moment) told me to come straight in. Extremely friendly staff with great prices for new and part worn. £35 for a high grade part worn for my Lexus (very good amount of tread on it), I was expecting to pay much more! In and out within 10 minutes and they had 3 other cars there too! Will definitely be returning when I need my other tyres replacing.

I had two preowned tyres fitted late in the evening so didn't have much time to check them. When returned home I noticed one them had a damaged sidewall and had been repaired, something that I wasn't aware of. They asked me to go back the next day and fitted two better-branded ones free without any quibbles. Customer satisfaction is clearly their priority. I was in Southampton from London for two days on family trip when i got a puncture on my Maserati. Car doesn't have a spare so i called up to see if they had size i need and explained whole issue. Drove into the garage in a bit of a flap after getting a flat a mile down the road. I was immediately waved forwards to park up and have my car jacked up to replace the flat. Tyre size was unusual and not easy to source for winters (225/45 R19) but the guys offered me a choice of brands, got them in a very short time and at a very reasonable price. To Huw Percival: Really disappointed with your comments. Firstly we cover all options possible regarding tyres; New, Part Worn single, Part Worn matching. If you have chosen to go with the cheapest option which is part worn single tyres then the treads will be different and can cause slight pulling as a result. we always offer the matching pair option which is harder to find and so costs a little more. This is your choice. Secondly, if there is any problem then you should notify us and we will always advise for you to come straight back and we can identify it for you. How can we help rectify anything if we dont know about it. Thirdly, it sounds like the Wheell Alignment is out on your car. you should get that checked. we do it for £20. Fourthly, Shame on you for giving a small local independent business a 1 star review on something which is not their fault. customer service and satisfaction is paramount for us and we strive to set our standards as high as possible as we know there are people like you that will look down on us given any chance. Someone that looks to find fault and push the blame onto someone else just so they can go and give a 1 star review to get some sort of satisfaction.

Amazing! Driving my Mercedes back from Portsmouth and get a puncture on the M27 on the way back. Car was behaving so wasn't sure what the noise actually was. Did a quick Google search for tyre repair and found Portswood Tyres. I was expecting to pay £150+ to get my tyre repaired. Couldn't believe my luck when Byron quoted me £40 for a part worn Pirelli (which had more tread than my punctured tyre) It was all fitted and ready within 30 minutes. Get puncture on motorway at 1pm, Tyre replaced and car ready at 1:30pm. Fantastic service and a really nice team. Highly Recommended
