Extremely helpful in Southampton city, they went out of there way to help me as the Mechanic was off with covid. I had to go to Burgess Road instead, they were super helpful too. Everything went very smooth, I can't praise them enough. Very understanding, helpful and friendly also very good price. My little VW Golf is running like a dream.

I can't speak highly enough about this place. They have fitted tyres for me, replaced brakes, and most recently, I got a full service and MOT. Every time I'm there I get great service at good prices. Can't give anything higher really. Didn't like my experience here. Witnessed a car being driven onto a ramp with mechanic holding a phone to his ear. Does a GPS fitted to screen really constitute a MOT fail? An advisory surely would surfice or remove it. The price advertised was what it cost. There was also an additional "environmental charge", good to be green but I have no idea what that charge covered. Bottom line, would I use again? NO.

Fantastic service!!! Finally a place that can do tracking and balancing right. Got sick of having to take my car to be checked every month and being told it's ok. Finally someone looked into it and fixed it and I haven't had to have my car checked for months now. They were friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable. Took my car in to get some new tyres. I didn't have an appointment but they got me in straightaway. A lovely gentleman called Ed fitted new tyres and fixed one of my slow punchers. I was really impressed with the procedures they have in place to keep themselves and the public safe with covid-19. They were all wearing gloves appropriately and placed a seat covering on my car seat before moving my car. I am really happy with the service and they did a great job in doing ectactly what was needed. 100% recommend !!

As a mechanic and MOT tester of 30 years plus in November 2019 i had to look for a garage my son could use, as he was 170 miles away in Southampton. I chose Protyre because of the reviews and the fact they were members of the Motor Trade ombudsman accreditation. We had a suspected fuel leak issue that needed attention and the guys very kindly looked for the leak. They spent over 2 hours testing and running the engine and the diesel fuel systems, looking for any sign of a leak but found nothing. Expecting a bill i was astounded to learn there would be no charge. i cannot thank Gary and the crew at this garage enough and as a professional in the same trade would highly recommend them. They could have made a charge but chose not to. Thanks Pro tyre and we will use you again one day. If you’re not car savvy use the guys here, you will not be disappointed. This proves there are still honest and trustworthy garages about you just have to look for them. No, I don’t work or are affiliated, sponsored or paid by Protyre. I’m just a very grateful farther that had to entrust others to carry out work on my son’s car. Work I would normally do myself. Thanks Lads A1 job done

I’ve been using this place since 1996, when they were the only place who could get me four 2CV tyres in a hurry, and the service has been great ever since. They even managed to get a wheel off my car when a famous roadside recovery firm had sheared the locking nut off. Their website has a nice choose and order your tyres in advance feature if you like that kind of thing.

Very professional employees. Not as busy as I have seen it there in the past as this is the place I go to for a good deal and a good selection of tyres and also quick service so have been there before. It wasn't long before closing so I guess that's why it wasn't that busy. Wanted 2 tyres, chose what type I wanted, was given the price and that was it. No fuss not much of a wait. Happy customer.

In short, I would rather come to this garage than go to the main dealership. Value is great, customer service is amazing and quality if the job impeccable! In long, I brought my very poor Honda Jazz here for serivce and MOT, tehy called me to confirm the work required on the car to pass its MOT, and since the work required was above the car value they put the car back together, assured me it is ok to drive for the next month (left on previous MOT) and refunded me the entire amount (service + MOT). I believe they should have charged me at least a ramp/labour fee. I am very impressed with their ethic! In addition, they always took the time to explain what works best (and what is the most cost effective option). I live in Bournemouth now, I still service I car at this garage. [Honda Jazz 03 and Kia Ceed 59]

Fantastic garage, prices are fair but there are great online deals. Nick the manager is brilliant and very generous. Never been messed around by them and the work is always done well. The prices may not be the absolute lowest but they're the most honest garage I've ever dealt with and you can't really put a price on that. If you're in the southampton area definately would recommend them.

After taking my time comparing deals and finding that Protyre were as competitive as anyone, I called in to my local branch (Southampton Burgess Rd) and ordered 4 new tyres and arranged to have them fitted the next day. The service was excellent and the manager could not have been more helpful - so much so that I recommended my sister - who also needed 4 new tyres - also have them fitted at the same time as me. Next day we both had the new tyres fitted and once again the local manager was very attentive and helpful and the new tyres were fitted quickly. Highly recommended!

We ordered a tyre through Blackcircles and took Tyre and Auto as our fitting location. I booked an AM slot and when I arrived the friendly taff informed me that my tyre was waiting for me, as I only needed a single tyre replacing on a wheel already removed from the car, this was changed whilst I waited. I was at the garage for around 20 minutes at the most. If I had to find a gripe , the only critism is the parking was a little challenging, but this wouldn't change the 5* rating I've given.

, l Recently went to my local garage Tyre and Auto Burgess Road, Swaythling, Southampton for mot repairs to my V70 T5 Volvo and they have a volvo mechanic working their and l had electrical problems Engine Management and ABS Dash Board lights on, And l was told they could not fix the problem l had to take car to another Garage, l have also asked The Government Mot Inspectors to check their mot testers as the Engine Management light was a Exhaust Sensor Repaired and the ABS was driver side Wheel Speed Sensor RING Now Repaired car now has Full Mot I would not Recommend this garage to anybody in Southampton I would Highly recommend South Hants Volvo Specialist Garage in Empress Road Southampton they also cater for all makes as well
