Ed’s is hands down the best place I have taken my car. They are so extremely reasonably priced, fast and easy! I knew my car was going to fail it’s MOT and they completely sorted it for me. Even not charging me labour on another part indeed. They always show me the parts they take off so I can see they are broken. The staff and the manager are so friendly and honest. First time using this garage for my Mot. Can sometimes feel daunting as a woman on my own going into a garage but these guys made me feel so at ease, so friendly and talked me through everything. These guys helped pass my mum’s MOT test for a Ford B-Max when the Ford Dealership were ripping us off. The dealership failed it on something as small as the cover for the wing mirror (picture). What would you like from your mechanic in three words? Let me list them. Honesty. Reliability. Fair price. If you need your car done, simple. Go see the people at this specific garage. They will honestly diagnose the problem and give you ALL information upfront. Not only will they probably fix the issue but you feel comfortable paying the bill as the mechanics genuinely are very good at explaining the problem and pointing out what's needed, physically showing you what's going on, not just jargon. I own two cars, live 20 miles from the garage, and always book my cars to see the guys at EDS. Very busy garage with more cars going in and out than a scrap yard. Must be a good sign right? Might be a good idea to give them a call and book yourself a time slot. Highly recommend.

Took my car in for an MOT yesterday. Knew it was going to fail. Ed's patched it up with in the day, calling me up giving me a breakdown of exactly what needed doing. I decided to get them to fix all the issues and was so happy I did. On collection they explained what they had done, showed me my busted used parts! And it was even cheaper than they first quoted. They were super professional, friendly and welcoming. 10/10 would recommend. I will definitely be taking my car back there.

Had corroded Discs and warm out Pads all round, Ed’s Garage advises, fitted and new Discs and Pads all round for a fair price. Although I did not see the evidence of the product which the manager claimed to have used as he says PAGID Discs which he says is the best that he uses I’m satisfied with the work.

Absolutely superb garage. A.friendly andefficient service, I am most pleased with the performance of this garage. The work to my suspension and brakes was spit on. They diagnosed the problems very quickly and repaired the problems within a couple of hours which saved labour costs. All in all, an excellent place to bring your motor car. Top marks, am well happy and glad to find them. I shall go there for all my vehicles needs in future and recommended them to all my friends.

Very professional and competent specialists in a not straight forward situation and really cost-effective. I had a yellow lamp engine check warning. The car was diagnosed by 3 specialists including a dealer garage, always with different diagnoses. No one could do anything. The dealer recommended changing some mechanical parts costing £1000. In the end at the Ed's garage the guys quickly diagnosed and fixed the electrical fault in a matter of few hours at a fraction of cost compared to the dealer. The car flies like new now!

I was very happy they managed to accommodate me last minute for a full service. I have very limited knowledge about cars, but always very curious and ask lots of questions. The guy patiently answered all my questions without making feel uncomfortable (as some garages did in the past!) They kept me informed of all additional work they are going to do and communicated clearly when my car will be ready for collection. I thought price was very reasonable. Overall happy with the service, definitely will go back. Giving 4 stars because mechanics didn't use any protectors inside the car, car mat still got stains even though they tried to clean it.

Had an MOT done at Ed's today, called up and had it booked in and within an hour it was being worked on. Unfortunately my car decided to fail on multiple things and multiple coil springs had gone just days before, bushes, lower arm, anti roll bar links. The employees at Ed's spotted all the issues (of which another garage had missed a few days before). Ed's charged part fees and a small labour charge, happily showed me the work done and the old broken parts. They ended up working on my car for an extra two hours as I needed other bits done. They were friendly, down to earth, hardworking and willing to help. I would highly recommended the customer service and the overall work that they do. Ed's is a garage to be trusted. I won't be going to dealerships anymore as most sting you and don't do any work. Ed's on the other hand do the work, be reasonable and provide an outstanding service and ethic. 5*

Been to Ed's a couple times this year. My experience has been very positive, the staff are friendly and have a proper can do attitude. They always look busy when I pass (a good sign in my book) but have been able to look at my car straight away or booked within a day. I have found prices to be competitive. I needed a new exhaust part and was delivered within an hour. By my own admission, I'm quite fussy as a customer - the staff at Ed's have been very accommodating. Happy customer.

I have used Eds for many years for MOT , tyres and minor servicing like tracking. This week after a disaster following a recent second hand car purchase which had the work carried out replacing wishbones and drop links by a different garage, when the steering became unsafe Eds was more than happy to take on the challenge of rectifying another mechanics possible potential error. Challenge it was , something of a mystery , because it had been back three times to be tracked and adjusted before i took it to Eds. Outcome , well it took far longer than a standard tracking usually takes , as it had a mysterious set back error, was off the ramp road tested and although now drove superbly they were not satisfied. Back on the ramp, wishbone bolts drop links etc. slackened of and allowed to centralise & settle , bolted up, re tracked and the set back error was no more. The final bill ? Ed himself refused to take more for re doing the entire job twice & more than usual work anyway , so i left having paid for a single 4 wheel tracking fee and new 12 months MOT which i requested he carried out at the outset to check everything else was in order before wasting any unnecessary time. Thanks Ed you are a star , and your staff have the patience of saints , putting up with us for a few hours.
