Since last week they also check your traines on chips inside without Notice. They toke mine of me and keep them stored away. Very accommodating to get me on the flight.

My check in and flight went ok. But same as all other heliports, there are plenty of additional rules and regulations so be sure to familiarize with them before packing and arrival. Take special care for electronics and check if they are allowed for helicopter flight or not.

If you fancy a helicopter tour of the west coast of Shetland bristow might be your only option. The pre flight security checks has a nostalgic Soviet feel to them, especially if you've foolishly decided to bring any apple products. All use of in flight electronics has been banned so don't expect any photos of your experience. Free water and ear plugs are provided, if your tour is delayed you might score a free bacon roll.

Open Mon - Sun. Opening hours differ depending on operational flight times. Has a secure pick up and drop off area. 2 restaurants, take away or eat in, Racheal does make a decent crispy bacon roll . Covid restrictions still in place. Rumours of a gentlemans club have yet to be established.....

Very impressed on how clean check in area was, very busy area & only 1 cleaner keeping it in shape.

Very slow check in. Having to turn on a laptop that's seen better days, 10 minutes later, turn on airplane mode, turn off, make sure it's not turning on itself. Never had to do this before but I guess it's protocol. Food and drink served all day.

Food and room to sit before the helikopter trip. Don't bring headphones with batteries in. They are not allowed. Like Jabra 75. They will be stored for your return.

Okay, but not perfect. Slow bag search due to manual inspection of them. Turning on and of laptop, iPads etc and airplane mode them before turning them off also takes time. But personnel is nice and professional.

There noisy and take you to a place where your expected to work for 14 days solid or sometime more before they even think about bringing you back. No in flight meal or drinks 🤔
