Amazing tour and well worth doing!
Our driver Pod was informative and made the whole experience enjoyable!
Very insightful and we learnt a lot from him
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, gave us balanced views of both sides and answered any questions we had with great knowledge
Would highly recommend doing this tour and will look at booking when we are in Belfast again

My partner and I took this tour today with Isaac. I can't speak highly enough of this tour, it was absolutely brilliant.
Isaac was passionate and explained everything in great detail. He also kept a very balanced view whilst on the tour by explaining things from the view of the community of which we were currently in.
We didn't know a great deal about the troubles other than the basics and we came away having learned a lot.
We had plenty of stops for photo opportunities and he was a safe driver. Also his Mercedes van was very comfortable, clean, and had excellent viewing angles with the many windows.
Also noted that we visited a lot more sights than other tours we saw en route.
We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belfast.
J. M.
Big thanks to Tucker & Isaac who took our group round. This tour was insightful, honest and balanced. The guides were amazing, fielding all the questions we had with no judgement at all meaning we learnt a lot. Not stopped telling people about how good these tours are since we got back.
A. D.
Stevie our guide was brilliant - impartial, honest, engaging and gave his own personal experiences of life during the troubles.
We went over the time as we ended up talking for ages about everything that had happened, what could happen in the future etc. It's was so interesting we lost track of time, but that was no problem at all.
Can't recommend it enough and glad that I took my kids to get an objective, thorough, fair experience of the recent and difficult history of Belfast.
L. N.
A fabulous way to spend a morning. Super informative and a great way to learn about an often misunderstood conflict. Thomas Patrick was superb and passionate, knowledgeable and impartial. Should be top of everyone’s ‘to do’ list in Belfast. A do not miss.

This tour was one of my favorite experiences here during my two weeks in Northern Ireland/Ireland. To learn the history behind The Troubles, firsthand from someone who lived through it, was super valuable, unbiased and raw information that one could never get through an article or historical accounts. To hear about the violence and sadness that occured here, especially only a few decades and see that most youth and newer generations are far removed because of the progress here is a beautiful thing. Our tour guide was great, hilarious and gave us both sides with any personal bias kept seperate as to be authentic and validate everyone's trauma which is the key to healing.
F. C.
Did the tour with a guy named Mark.
A great experience. Very knowledgeable guy. A non biased approach. Full of information and interesting facts.
Well worth doing. A great insight into such a troubled time in our history.
A. R.
Stevie our guide was fantastic. It was very unbiased which made for a great tour. It was the highlight of our trip and would 100% recommend to anyone visiting the city.
S. S.
My parents and I had a really great trip with our guide, Isaac. He explained everything we saw in detail, and he didn’t hesitate to answers any questions we had. It seemed like he really knew the history of Belfast and the murals, and told us interesting histories from his own life. It was really great that someone could show us the history from both of the perspectives. An amazing experience.
J. C.
Company is great and super flexible. Stevie was a great host/guide and managed to keep all 3 of us completely engaged for the full day. Can't express thanks enough for the fantastic experience.
D. S.
Easily the best history tour I've been on. Our driver Stevie was very pleasant and easy going and made the drive extremely enjoyable. Having grown up in Belfast he was able to provide an in-depth history lesson on the troubles whilst also speaking about his personal experiences living through the time. All of the murals/points of interest were fascinating and well worth viewing. I could not recommend this tour highly enough.
L. P.
Amazing tour I would highly recommend to everyone. Stevie was wealth of information I learned a lot about the troubles. I would put this at the top of your list when visiting Belfast.
C. A.
We had the most interesting and informative tour with Danny L. We were not sure what to expect as our knowledge of the Troubles was limited. Danny was charming and knowledgeable and was unbiased in his telling of the history. He took us to many of the wall mural sites and took time at each point so we could ask questions and take photos etc. Would definitely recommend. This was our number one experience if Belfast ! Thank you.

Did the tour of Falls Road and Shankhill Road areas today. Driver and guide was Isaac who was absolutely superb, welcoming, knowledgeable. He encouraged us to ask questions which we did and he gave us full informative answers. First class guide and top bloke. An absolute must if you visit Belfast as this tour is brilliant! Superb value for money. Thank you for a great experience Isaac and Black Cab tours. 100% recommended.
L. H.
Issac was our tour guide/driver today. We found Isaac very informative and knowledgeable about the history of the troubles and how life is today. Issac was impartial and told the history from both sides. We found it easy to ask Issac questions on the tour and he was more than happy to answer them. Our tour with Issac was the favourite part of our trip to Belfast. We would highly recommend Issac and Cab Tours Belfast. Thank you so much for a great tour.
L.
Stevie collected us from our hotel in the city centre at the agreed time which proceeded on the tour to firstly the protestant and then catholic areas of the city, seeing the murals, peace walls and peace gates gates all whilst giving an incredible insight into the lives of both sets of communities and details of the troubles with an impartial viewpoint. Stevie is a brilliantly warm guide and he even had a few good gags too which added a bit of needed comic relief. This tour was really profound and what Stevie told us with stay with us forever. I can’t recommended this tour enough if you want to know more about the troubles and what both communities have experienced and what life is like for them now.
S. G.
I cannot recommend our tour with Stevie enough - we travelled round Belfast in an extremely comfortable Mercedes Van that comfortably sat all 6 of us and we got a thoroughly detailed and enjoyable tour. He explained the background of every place we visited and interspersed every location with great information about how things were during the troubles in NI vs how things are like now. He encouraged questions about all aspects of Belfast history - regardless of how uncomfortable or awkward - and was amusing and genial throughout! I particularly loved that he ensured we understood that while there is understandably still bias, they, as a company, are the only cab tour company in Belfast that is equally owned by both Catholics and Protestants and were very keen to make sure that all sides were discussed fairly/equally. As someone who was under-informed about the background of Northern Island, I think this was the best, most fun and most informative tour I could have taken for such wonderfully beautiful city. 100% recommend.
L. L.
Did Black taxi murals tour of Belfast for my mum’s birthday. Was an amazing experience. Our guide Pody was so knowledgeable and spent so much time and effort making the experience truly unique for us. He provided information from both sides of the community in a very unbiased manner. Exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended!
M. B.
Had an amazing tour with Stephen yesterday. Very informative and engaging. He was happy to answer all of our questions and even related some of the stories to our professions.
He made the whole experience both sombre and enjoyable, and I would recommend this as a must do when coming to Belfast even if just passing through.
S. I.
Had an excellent tour with Isaac around Belfast. He is an awesome guide! I learned so much about the challenges being faced even today by both sides of the conflict. He presented the story in a balanced and personal way. I highly recommend this tour if you are planning a trip to Belfast.
K. C.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour today with Stevie. The content gave an impartial view of the troubles and allowed an insight into the history and current climate in Belfast. Everything we saw was discussed with meaning and showed us the unique environment that people there still live in. Stevie was also a wonderful tour guide, friendly and answering all questions given.
L. h.
This was our first time in Belfast. Isaac provided a fantastic unbiased tour explaining both sides of the history in Ireland. We learned so much and enjoyed ourselves!
Would highly recommend doing a tour with Isaac. He made for a very enjoyable day, gave us some good restaurant recommendations and arranged a tour of the jail for us. It’s been a great day!!
T. D.
I have lived in Ireland for 17 years in Galway and came up for a weekend, and so glad I did this tour.
It really opened my eyes to what happened, and how events in 1969 have shaped the social, political and physical landscape.
Our tour guide Danny- L was excellent, he was a great storyteller, patient with the (many) questions posed to him.
It is a must do for everyone.
L. C.
Done the tour in January 22 with my partner. Our tour guide was Thomas Campbell and he was an out and out gent. Super friendly, super knowledgable and I thoroughly enjoyed it, we both did. I would recommend this as the no. 1 thing to do in this city. If you get Thomas tell him Liamo and Tash say hi. You won't regret going on this tour 10/10
O.
The tour was quite good. Our guide could answer everything knowledgeably and tell us some personal anecdotes. They made strong efforts to be impartial, but it's hard to be impartial when you've lived through the Troubles; this showed through a little bit.
The tour could have been improved with clearer communication - explanations were a bit circumlocutory and unfinished!
Overall a good experience
R. R.
Brilliant tour. Stevie was extremely informative and balanced. He gave us a real insight as to what life was like during The Troubles and beyond. My 13 year olds also enjoyed the tour very much. It exceeded their expectations and both said they would also highly recommend it. It’s made us all reflect.
S. M.
We had an excellent tour of the murals with Stevie. He is very entertaining and extremely knowledgeable and presented both sides in a balanced manner. There was so much we learned from what we saw and the information and history that he told us. I would recommend for anyone visiting Belfast.
B. M.
Pody was our driver who gave an extremely interesting tour that taught us so much about the troubles from past to present and now has given us a much better understanding. Highly recommend this tour if in Belfast as is well worth it.
L. J.
Learned so much from my tour guide, Tucker. He did a great job explaining the history of the Troubles in Belfast and its corresponding murals. The tour was informative, interesting, and fun (he made it fun despite the heavy content!) and I would recommend it to anyone looking to learn more about the city of Belfast. 5/5 stars!
I. J.
A fascinating, well-judged and unbiased tour that really gets to the heart of the troubles and their impact on the city. My guide, Isaac, was from one of the communities but delivered such a neutral account that I couldn’t guess which one! When we were in a Catholic area he gave the Catholic view, and then he did the opposite in Protestant areas - quite brilliant, and the content felt about as close to the truth as can be achieved in such a short time (90 mins). Most importantly, perhaps, Isaac and the company were acutely conscious of the importance of their words, and of making a positive contribution to the entire Belfast community. Bravo.
S. F.
We had Stevie as our guide and he was terrific: balanced, polite, and receptive to questions. We appreciated how graciously he shared in the painful history of the city from a broader perspective as well as a personal one. We highly recommend him and this tour. Peace to all.
C. R.
This tour was brilliant. Pody was awesome; so friendly, funny and knowledgeable. He offered an empathetic narrative from both sides. Our time in Belfast would not have been the same without this experience. I can not recommend it enough.
J. K.
We took the Crumlin Road Gaol Tour & Belfast Murals Combo Tour and had so much fun. Our guide was super fun and even more knowledgeable. The team is very responsive and everything was super easy to organize. The Mural tour wasn't rushed and interactive/super interesting and afterwards we were dropped at the Gaol and given some background before heading in on our own. It's a great "museum" and piece of history to tour and really well done! Thanks guys!
A. D.
We went with this company because of the reviews and it’s no wonder they are 5 stars. Isaac led our private tour and made it so enjoyable and personable. He was a wealth of knowledge and gave a complete neutral portrayal of the history of Belfast.
A. H.
We have had a great time on our Black Taxi Tour. Our driver Trevor was very well informed, and could answer àll the questions we had. The pickup was on time and everything as we have agreed before - it's a great and entertaining activity to learn about The Troubles. Thanks a mill!
We have been told by friends that the tour has to be paid in cash which was not mentioned in the confirmation e-mail. This should be considered.
A. G.
We absolutely loved our Taxi Tour! Our driver was Isaac and he was incredibly kind, knowledgeable and professional. He truly gave us an unbiased explanation of the political history of Northern Ireland which was very interesting - I was not aware of basically anything and it was amazing to learn from someone so knowledgeable as Isaac.
This tour is a must do if your visiting Belfast!
A. A.
We enjoyed our tour very much and Danny (the driver) was kind and friendly. We learned much on the dramatically conflicting period in recent History of Ireland. It was really a quite touching experience. In particular, we felt sad hearing about the happenings that took place on the Bombay Street. We hope more peaple can get this experience and take a lesson.
J. P.
We had a great tour with Isaac this morning who was welcoming and enthusiastic. He was good at getting the story behind the murals to us and did so with respect to both communities. Reccomend to all, including for families - our 12 year boys enjoyed it, especially a bit of banter!
W. M.
We had a wonderful tour of Belfast. Our tour guide Henry gave us both perspectives of the Political Troubles and I feel like we learned a lot. Henry was a lot of fun too.
Highly recommend!
B. C. L.
Podric was our driver and our group highly recommends him. He was fantastic at bringing equal homage to both sides of the conflict. He gave us plenty of time to take pictures and ask questions. It was a great up close learning experience not only about the Troubles but also the struggles in reuniting.
H. M.
This tour has to be one of the most interesting and impactful tours we have been on,and we’ve been on a few around the world. From the start in Crumlin road jail then onto our black hackney tour.
The taxi tour was by far the highlight, Danny L our driver was knowledgable, informative and impartial throughout. Although advertised as 2 hours it went well into 3 hours as we were immersed into the history of the troubles. Danny L made this tour what it was, incredible.
If you want to hear first hand about the history and current day struggles, please do what we did and book this tour. It made our trip to Belfast something we will never forget.
Thank you Danny L,
Hugh & Lisa.
B. O.
A wonderful experience! Our guide Isaac did a masterful job telling the story of The Troubles, alternating seamlessly between Unionist and Nationalist viewpoints. Very highly recommended if you want a truly balanced accounting of that brutal time.
J. B.
The black cab tour was so interesting and eye-opening. Our tour guide was a fantastic storyteller and took us through the segregated areas of the city to see the murals, all the while telling us the story of the troubles and deep-running divides. He was an encyclopedia, answering any questions we had with fascinating detail.
This tour is a must-do for anyone visiting Beflast.
K. K.
Loved this tour with Thomas. There are many cab tours in Belfast, but our hotel, Tara Lodge, recommended this one. Can't go wrong. This company provided both perspectives of the conflict of "The Troubles," leaving out political commentary that could've decreased what we learned. Highly recommend adding this tour to your Belfast itinerary.
s. l.
Isaac gave my husband and I a well -balanced of both sides of The Troubles. He was super engaging and open to questions. We very much enjoyed our experience and look forward to recommending our friends to this company when they plan trips to Ireland!
B. R.
One of the best things I've done in my 3-month trip around the UK & Ireland. Well balanced, even though no one would blame anyone who lived it if they were biased. Kiernan was thoughtful and engaging, which is a feat when you do this day in and day out, I'm sure. I was moved andeducated, and so glad I took the time to understand what life is like outside the tourist district. Thank you, also, for making it so easy to arrange.
A. S.
We had a great time on the mural tour, the driver was so knowledgeable about everything he showed us, we learnt so much about the history of Belfast, can’t remember his name but he drove a silver Mercedes van, he even recommended a place for dinner where the locals go which was excellent.
Would highly recommend this tour.
T. N.
A fascinating insight into the history of the beautiful city of Belfast. Our guide Thomas was knowledgeable and friendly, we all really enjoyed the experience and would urge any visitor to the city to do the tour. Having someone impartial was great as we heard both sides without bias.
S. M.
I'd wanted to do the black tour for years and I found it very enjoyable and informative . Isaac was a charismatic and knowledgeable tour guide ! It's a great way to see important historical parts of Belfast and appreciate the recent history of the troubles. Would really recommend it !
L.
We did a tour this morning with Isaac, it was brilliant. He gave a great balanced tour with history from both sides. Such a lovely tour guide, would really recommend for anyone visiting Belfast to take this tour. The art work and murals in the city are amazing!
F. J.
Excellent troubles tour. Our driver was very knowledgable and provided an unbiased guided tour when visiting both sides of the wall. I booked a joint crumlin jail and troubles tour package for £60 for 2 people and thought it was very worth while. Highly recommended tour for anyone interested in the recent troubles of Belfast and to see it first hand was amazing.
M. H.
An excellent tour given by our guide Isaac. He was very knowledgeable, and gave a completely unbiased and honest description of past events. This tour is highly recommended, and is something that every visitor should consider doing.
M. S.
Wow! Just wow!! What an experience, you must do this if you're in Belfast. Our guide (I won't tell you his name as there's a guessing game at the end to decide if your guide is Protestant or Catholic, but I will say his name begins with P ) was the most informative and interesting person to explain all about the troubles in Belfast in the 70's & 80's. He was completely unbiased and neutral about everything, which makes it even harder to imagine what went on during the troubles. He took us to the most interesting of places and had a plethora of information at each stop. We saw the most beautiful (if you can call them that) murals and standing in front of the two gunmen mural in the Protestant area was so scary. We didn't realise the gates segregating Protestants and Catholics were still shut each night, some 50 odd years since it all kicked off. Our tour was longer than the suggested 90 mins because we asked so many questions, but our guide was so willing to answer us and give us more information.
If there is only one sightseeing tour you will do when in Belfast it MUST be this one. Fully recommended, thank you so much.
V. T.
This was a fantastic way of spending a morning. Isaac was a delightful and excellent tour guide, providing us with a really interesting, unbiased account of the historic problems in Belfast. Definitely worth doing.
K. P.
Great Taxi tour around Belfast couldn’t recommend this company enough. Very professional, our tour guide was completely impartial, very informative and it was such good value for money. Wouldn’t book a tour with any other company, would highly recommend.
J. W.
Fantastic and informative tour with Stevie. Thank you for sharing your living history with us and our dog, Isla. Really made us see things a bit differently from the news on our TVs throughout our teenage and adult years over in England. Thank you Stevie. Highly recommended.
E. M.
My husband and I had a wonderful tour with our awesome guide, Charlie, today. We learned so much and he was so interested in our perspectives. He went above and beyond by making our tour so special. I highly recommend
A. W.
Danny-L was an amazing tour guide. The best. His breadth of knowledge and storytelling was incredibly enlightening. He was fun and funny, too! Best tour ever!
A. S.
We had an amazing tour of many historical areas in Belfast and Isaac gave us a really detailed and informative commentary on the history and what it was like in Belfast at the time of the troubles. Would highly recommend!
Thanks Isaac!
B. C.
Our driver was Isaac and he told the history very well and clear . ( we are Belgian and sometimes the fast English accent is hard for us ). He was open to all of our questions and answered them politely and in depth. I understand that in these times there are alot of ecological concerns about pollution and emission, but we were a little sad when a mercedes van came to pick us up instead of the classic black cab we thought we would get. I know it's a minor thing compared to what people had to endure and live like everyday. In the end it was the best experience we had in 3 days of Belfast. Thanks again Isaac for showing us what the world outside our safe haven of Belgium looks like. We wish you the best!
J. R.
We had an amazing tour with Peter. We were enthralled from start to finish. Peter gave us a clear, realistic picture of the area and it’s history and we learnt so much. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Belfast. The Taytos were the icing on the cake!!!!!
D. H.
Our black cab tour of West Belfast was easily the highlight of our week long stay. Pete, our driver, was hugely knowledgable and even-handed, taking us through the history of Northern Ireland, through the Troubles and Good Friday agreement right up to the present day. The loyalist and nationalist murals, the peace lines, and the metal cages still attached to houses were a fascinating and sobering reminder of this city's troubled past. Pete ended the tour with the tantalising possibility that there may be a united Ireland in our lifetimes. The tour was advertised as taking 90-120 minutes. Ours took 2 and a half hours. All in all, tremendous value, a superb history lesson, memories that will linger, and a conclusion that peace and hope will prevail. Thoroughly recommended.
N. B.
Our driver Stevie was an amazing your guide. Really gave us a great understanding of the history of the troubles in Ireland. Can not recommend enough.
G. M.
This was a powerful experience. Our guide was successful in giving us both sides of the Troubles, Protestant and Catholic. We saw the 60 foot wall that has been in place for over 50 years and the houses where people endured the conflict. I very much appreciate what Stephan does for people in his tours. We are Americans and had no idea about the stories Stephan had to tell us. We learned so much.
D. R.
The highlight of our stay in Belfast. Would certainly recommend to anyone visiting the city. Stevie our driver answered all our questions impartially and patiently. A very moving tour.
Thank you Stevie.
E. W.
Padraig was a brilliant tour guide! He was completely unbiased and shared his wealth of information with us! We learned lots and had a great time doing so! Highly recommend to anyone!
T. D.
Ciaran was fantastic. He explained everything in great detail on all sides. He took us back to where I spent holidays as a child with my grandmother (he even drove past it) and my friends from England throughly enjoyed it too, so much so they are going to read up some more on the history. Can't recommend enough!
S. S.
Our tour guide Brandon took us on a amazing trip! I highly recommend this to those who are going on a trip to Belfast.
Thank you Brandon, it was a lovley experience😊
(From Sofie and Johannes)
N. O.
What a fantastic company and Ciaran our driver was amazing on our "troubles " tour.
The staff helped book and sorted out a problem when they couldn't pick us up from the port due to a security change last minute.
Ciaran our driver was so knowledgeable, impartial and humorous . He should be an ambassador for peace around the world..great company and driver. Thoroughly recommended .
J. P.
So enjoyed this tour and Isaac was brilliant. He gave an impartial view of the troubles which was informative and answered a lot of questions. If coming to Belfast this is an absolute must.
A. O.
We did the black cab tour with Harry who was a wealth of information and answered any and all questions. His bright positivity and funny anecdotes were a welcome reprieve from the sombre tone of the troubles and the atrocities that took place here. We felt that we got a comprehensive and unbiased account of this part of Northern Irelands history. Super informative, thank you!!!
B. R.
Just did this tour with Isaac. Luxury taxi. He was a brilliant guide. Very informative, well structured tour and balanced commentary. Great that he took lots of photos for us. Would definitely recommend this tour.
M.
Five of us from Scotland got taken around the main murals, a peace wall today and really enjoyed the experience, would recommend highly for anyone interested whether you have any prior knowledge or not. Our driver Thomas was very knowledgable and good craic around the sights!
D. C.
We had a blast today on the tour with Kieran. We had a short amount of time in Belfast and eager to understand more about the troubles and politics of Northern Ireland. Kieran was a great storyteller, with a great pace and timbre that was easily understandable to non-native speakers of our group. It was nice having multiple stops and get out of the cab to see things. Cheers Kieran
M. B.
This is a must-do activity in Belfast to get an understanding of the city. Reading about the Troubles is one thing, but getting a guided tour from an experienced local resident who witnessed the hardships first hand, is the best way to understand the back half of the 20th century in the city. Our driver Michael was so kind and knowledgable and added so much important context to a city fraught with a difficult past.
S. A.
Really amazing tour of the mural of Belfast. The guide explained everything so passionately and gave us a window on what life was like during the Troubles. Highly recommend it, 10/5!
E. G.
We recently enjoyed a first-class Black Taxi Tour! Very informative, thought-provoking and engaging - we learned so much. An absolute must-do on a visit to Belfast.
N. U.
The guide Stevie was amazing, phenomenal. The only "bad" thing was that we didn´t get a classic black cab. Instead, we got a very comfortable and luxurious van... But we wanted the classic! :D
Q. B.
Did the Crumlin Road Gaol Tour & Belfast Murals Combo Tour - simply exceptional. Brendan, a born and bred 'Belfastian' gave a fantastic overview of not only The Troubles but also from the Good Friday Agreement until the present. Brendan gave exceptional insight to both sides. Dropped off at The Crumlin Road Gaol for a self guided tour - well worth doing.
K. N.
Our tour was excellent. Isaac was our guide and he was friendly, knowledgeable and fascinating. This is a must-do in Belfast.
R. M.
Believe the hype, number one thing to do in Belfast for a reason. You could walk around these things by yourself but you'd miss out on the insight of the guides. Our driver Danny not only gave us the history of the murals but also his own story of growing up in Belfast during the troubles. 10/10 guide, 10/10 tour.
P. K.
What a great experience, Danny was my guide for the morning and he was a pure gentleman with a great knowledge to share. Has to be top of the to do list for anyone visiting Belfast.
A. B.
The Black Taxi tour was an amazing experience! Our guide was very competent, funny and great at telling the story from both sides.
A. F.
We had Tommy as our driver. He gave the tour as a person who lived through the troubles and brought his experiences to life. By the time the tour ended I felt like we were talking to a friend rather than a tour guide. If you have to one thing in Belfast, let this be it.
S. L.
Brilliant tour! Danny L was fantastic, really knew his stuff and kept us entertained throughout. Would definitely recommend!
H. H.
Great tour, highly recommend. Very friendly and funny. A great way to learn more about the history of Belfast.
J. E.
No idea where the text went ! This tour was first class, driver/guide was excellent, funny and serious at just the right times. Really appreciated that this tour covered both sides of the Troubles, non partisan, recommended 100%.
d. p.
Best tour experience ever! Our tour guide Thomas made the experience very enjoyable and would rate 10/10. Thomas was very knowledgeable and we all learned so much from this tour while having a good laugh :)
B. F.
The tour was enlightening and informative. The tour guide Ciarán (hopefully spelling is correct) was first class and very knowledgeable. Definitely recommend it
D. H.
Brilliant and super knowledgable tour guide Joel showed us around the areas core to the ongoing story of Belfast’s troubles. Loads of great info and really engaging - learnt a lot! Highly recommend!
J. B.
Outstanding tour. Great guide, very knowledgeable, thoroughly recommend. The highlight of our Belfast City break. Thankyou
A. C.
Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and informative. I highly recommend this experience if you’re interested in the Troubles and the history of Belfast
L. I.
Great tour. Stevie was really engaging and knowledgeable. Would definitely do the tour again. Thanks so much.
R. D.
Phenomenal tour, incredibly interesting and fun too. I also think we had the best guide… thanks Danny!
S. Y.
Our tour was enlightening, and gave an unbiased history of the struggles in Belfast. Would highly recommend Black Taxi Tours.
N. T.
Nigel was a great tour guide. The tour was fascinating. Seeing the communities in Belfast and understanding the history was really interesting. Thank you Nigel.
J. T.
Really enjoyed this experience, Isaac was great and educating us on the history of Belfast, would highly recommend doing this to anyone travelling to Belfast!
M.
Great Tour, really cool guide (sorry I forgot his name) and price absolutely ok for 1.5 hours tour plus pick up at the hotel
C. J.
Was a brilliant day driving around Belfast. The guides were very accommodating and able to answer all of our questions. Great day out
B. W.
An insightful and balanced description of the history and completixy of the conflict. A must for anyone visitng Belfast for the first time.
J. A.
Really enjoyed this tour. I must admit, coming to Belfast I was a little nieve to what has happened.
It was explained in a fair manner and both my partner and I left the cab and did further research when we got back to the hotel to understand further what has previously happened.
Thankyou for a fair and balanced tour
C. N.
Isaac was fantastic and we had such an interesting hour. It was very unbiased and he had us totally engaged and he felt more like a friend come the end of the tour. It was very informative and emotional and he was very positive. Would do it again next year.
D. M.
An excellent tour from start to finish, very informative on both sides, Stevie was a brilliant guide, highly recommend👌
B. M.
I booked this tour when a friend was visiting Belfast from the US and Stevie did a great job balancing the tour so that it wasn’t an information overload for my friend but that I also learned lots of new things too. Stevie was professional, friendly and we both had a great time. The tour is also great value! I would recommend it to everyone - tourists and locals!
L. M.
Fantastic tour! Isaac was really friendly and informative. We learned lots and really enjoyed it and will be recommending to anyone visiting Belfast! Isaac’s strength is his authenticity in telling the story of Belfast and it’s history, like being taken around by a friend and shown the horror of the past and the hope for the future!
S. B.
We had Stevie O'Reilly as our guide and he was brilliant. I would recommend both him and the tour to anybody visiting the area. Stevie helped to provide context and understanding to the scenes that we will all have seen on the TV news over the years. He was totally neutral throughout and very professional. This tour should be compulsory for anybody visiting Belfast - you will leave with a better understanding. Stevie also has a great sense of humour which is essential given the heavy topic under discussion for much of the time. Great value for money too.

Had a really great tour with Pody today. Really informative and answered all our questions. Gave us a really honest and non-biased story from both sides of the story. Highly recommend
R. N. L.
The tour was excellent from start to finish. We learned so much and our driver, TP, was incredible and gave a very unbiased account. I'd highly recommend them!
I. H.
We had a great tour with Stevie today. He was very knowledgeable and the tour was very informative and unbiased. Would recommended for anyone who wants a bit more insight into the troubles and to see some of the murals and political sights in Belfast.
A. G.
Insightful, unbiased tour delivered with the usual Irish humour. Thoroughly enjoyed and can highly recommend to give some insights into the Troubles.
E. M.
This tour was 5*. We were picked up at our hotel and from the very start we got an incredible insight. Isaac was our tour guide…he was brilliant, down to earth, good craic and civil! He was very knowledgeable and brought to light the problems and opinions of both sides and left no stone unturned. This tour is a must.
J. M.
Had a really great experience today on our Troubles Tour with Stevie. He was really knowledgeable and good craic. Couldn’t recommend the tour more highly!
J. D. S.
Been on two tours with Cab Tours Belfast and both have been exceptional, best in Belfast by far. Extremely thorough, engaging and unbiased history of the many murals of West Belfast and a great overview of the history of Belfast and The Troubles also.
Was looked after by Isaac both tours and he was more than helpful and friendly to any questions or comments on the history of Belfast and other recommendations on places to see or visit. Would take another tour in a heartbeat, can't recommend the lads highly enough!
C. R.
This was without a doubt one of the best tours that I have ever been on. I had a pretty good understanding of the history of Belfast but seeing it up close and hearing the stories of a person who lived through the Troubles was incredible. If you are in Belfast for even a day, this tour is a must!
M. K.
Steve was our guide today. What a fantastic guy. Engaging, informative and gives a clear unbiased overview of the history on both sides.
Anyone coming to Belfast (or indeed Ireland) should make sure they carve out some time.
You’ll find no better guide than Stevie.
Thanks again and we will be back.
Best,
Mike

Brilliant tour today with Danny, so informative and an eye opening experience. Really enjoyed all the stories Danny told us, could have spoke with him for hours. Would 100% recommend this tour for all visitors to Belfast. Well done and thank you for your time. Shirley & Kevin (Dubliners) 👍✌

Myself and my boyfriend booked a black taxi tour to learn more about Belfasts history. It was definitely worth it for anyone who wants to know more about Belfast or who is new to the city. Our driver was Stevie and he was so accommodating, he took loads of pictures for us and really made the tour interesting and worth our while. We are so happy we got to do this before we left Belfast !
K. B.
Absolutely excellent tour. I'm originally from Belfast but I went home with people who had never been and we all loved it. The drivers were so informative and neutral. Would highly recommend.
B. H.
Isaac was great! A highlight of our trip for sure. Very knowledgeable with unbiased information. Thank you!
S. M.
Stevie was a great Guide and made us feel very welcome to his lovely city. From the start his black taxi was fully sanitised and spotlessly clean, Steve had and has great knowledge of his city and its history. He kept us engaged with his knowledge and was able to answer any questions we asked of him, we had no fear of asking whatever questions we liked about the troubles, I would recommend Steve anytime for this tour , so make sure you ask for Stevie when you book this taxi tour well worth the money 5 stars, we booked the tour for 1pm slot until 2.30pm we ended up on the tour for 2 hours and could have done another couple of hours the time flew with such a good tour guide. I'd highly recommend you book Stevie O Reilly for your guided tour as you will be well looked after from start to finish and won't be disappointed, We’ll def be booking a trip again when visiting with more friends as a great insight to the history of this lovely city. Stephen & Barry Cork.

Did a tour of Belfast this morning with Cab Tours Belfast. Our driver Thomas was brilliant, so much information and so interesting. Great to see both sides of the city. The murals are amazing and tell their own story. Hard to believe that the walls and gates are still in place after all this time.. Thanks again to PaThomas for a great experience. Would highly recommend
D. Q.
Issac was an absolutely brilliant very engaging, and very interesting tour guide. This was a great experience and very affordable with this company, we stumbled across the same tour for more than double the price with other companies. Highly recommend.
G. M.
My family did a black cab tour with Thomas today and with out a doubt it was one of the best tours I have ever done in my life and I have done many. Thomas was unbelievable with his knowledge and sharing the history behind the troubles which gave really good insights and gave us a much better understanding. If you are ever in Belfast a black cab tour with Cab Tours Belfast is an absolute must do. The highlight and thank you Thomas.

We had the pleasure of Tucker as our guide today, can not recommend this tour highly enough. He was super friendly, excellent with the kids, and gave completely unbiased facts throughout. No question was off limits. We learned ALOT from him. It really is a must do when visiting Belfast, it was definitely the highlight of our trip 😊 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our driver was Danny H and he was absolutely brilliant. We were picked up at Crumlin Road Gaol and brought on our way to our first location. The entire time Danny was constantly telling us the history of all the murals and other interesting things related to them. We had good craic with Danny and I would recommend him to anyone to get a tour with. After the tour, we were dropped back to our hotel. The tour was our highlight of the trip to Belfast!
N. o. c.
Well what can I say this company is brilliant. our driver was tucker what an amazing man great sense of humour really made the tour for us 6 girls from cork. he made it very fun and easy going to listen to. I loved listening to the tales from both sides. having done that tour before have to say tuckers was the best and brought a tear to my eye. such a helpful person no question was to big or small to answer. his knowledge was so fun to listen to unlike some guided tours you loose interest very fast because the tour guide has a boring voice. like something read from script. would defo do more tours when we return. Great personality with people just had a way about him. 10/10 for effort 10/10 for presentation. 10/10 for just everything about him and his tour
n. c.
We had Danny H. for our tour of Belfast today.
Danny was a gentleman who provided a fantastic tour of both communities and it was the highlight of our trip.

Cannot recommend highly enough. Danny L picked me up from my hotel and it felt like an afternoon spent with an old friend. Incredible passion, knowledge and insight.
R. W.
We were thinking to go see the murals ourselves but when looking at the locations on Google, Black Taxi Cab tour came up and I decided to have a look and after a quick chat with my partner we decided to book it. We couldn't have been happier with our decision. Our driver Stevie was excellent, was able to have good craic as well as great knowledge and gave a good account of both sides stories. Would highly recommend doing this tour and it's a good length of approx 90mins too
L. C.
Went on this tour recently with Danny as our guide. Very informative and gave us a good unbiased understanding of the history of Belfast during the Troubles and the situation today. Great tour. Would really recommend.
S. H. J.
Our tour guide Isaac “ the oracle” was brilliant. We enjoyed every minute of our tour if you go to Belfast this tour is a must. It’s a way to see parts of Belfast that for years were not safe places to be. We were given an unbiased insight of how both communities were affected during the troubles. We got out of the taxi and walked around the Shankill Road and signed the peace wall and also walked around the Falls Road. We were amazed by the whole experience from the walls, murals, stories and sadness of it all. Thank you Isaac for recommending Crumlin Road Jail another tour not to be missed

Informative and balanced overview of Belfast's, and NI's, recent troubles. We had a private cab and our guide delivered a first class history lesson with good humour and I would highly recommend Isaac and his team to anyone visiting Belfast.
M. G.
Excellent tour. Coming from the south I thought I was up to speed on everything going on but of course I was not. I could have spent the rest of the day driving around. Very interesting.

Our driver Sean was extremely informative, courteous, and shared the history and locations as a story while
presenting the events and history from both perspectives. He was attentive to our questions and and gave us time to walk around and experience the sites at our own pace. Thanks so much! We hope to have more guides like him.
S. M.

We did this as a family of 2adults and 2 children under 12. We all enjoyed every minute of it. Our guide Stevie was very knowledgeable and so welcoming and friendly to us all. I couldn't recommend him enough as a guide.
A. W.
Really fantastic tour. I loved visiting Belfast and northern Ireland and this was a highlight of my vacation. It's a serious tour. Isaac, our driver, did a great job of giving us a look at sides of the situation, making a big effort to be impartial. Since he grew up in Belfast, this must be a very difficult job to do. The people here have been through a lot and it's not black and white. Isaac encouraged questions, helped us take pictures, and left us a little more knowledgeable. The history in Northern Ireland is long and complicated but he gave us the details in a way that was manageable. We loved this black cab tour, we thought Isaac was great, and we wish Belfast all the best 🥰
S. B.
Took the black cab tour with Danny H. Very professional service, insightful and educational tour. We experienced both sides of the unrest during the troubles. Would really recommend to anyone visiting Belfast.
A. K.
Taxi driver was Thomas. Well informed on the subject matter, put the step-son at ease, delivered a tricky subject matter clearly and succinctly.
C. C.
Very interesting and unbiased hands-on historical tour. Although this is one of the more expensive cab tours in Belfast, the company prides itself on providing a unbiased perspective with both protestant and catholic ownership in the company. Our driver, Stevie, provided us with so much information about the background to help us understand why Belfast is set up the way it is. He also was very patient and thorough answering all our questions. We did not feel that we were being run through the mill - we felt we received a very personalized and enlightening tour for our family of four. Worth the extra price.
H. B.
We had a tour with Stephie and it was amazing - really insightful, interesting & thought-provoking. Stephie was also just great. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent tour. We thoroughly enjoyed it and our guide/driver (Stevie) gave us a great insight into the history and realities of the troubles.
L. G.
David was an excellent tour guide and I highly recommend doing this at the beginning of a Belfast visit. You can't really understand Belfast and The Troubles without spending a couple of hours with someone with first hand experience. I also recommend doing some reading before hand so you have an outline and a timeline in your head before you go. It's worth the effort. Fantastic experience.
A. S.
Absolutely brilliant tour with a wonderfully knowledgeable guide, giving us insights that we didn’t even expect.
J. H.
thank you so much to our guide Dan who was brilliant. we learned a lot and would definitely recommend.

A must do for anyone who visits Belfast and definitely ask for Patch a friendly local man who really knows his stuff and managed to have us both grasped and laughing at the same time
A. M.
Michael was an extremely informative guide. Excellent tour!
J. P.
Our tour guide, Bernice, was fantastic and she had a very comfortable van for the 4 of us. We felt we had plenty of time at each of our stops.
She got us to the Giant's Causeway early before the bus loads of people showed up, and then a few more stops before heading back to Belfast. She gave us a quick tour of the Peace Wall and explained to us the history behind it. Very informative! Many thanks!
M. P.
Amazing tour with a rare chance to understand Belfast history from the people who lived it.
I. B.

Amazing and unforgettable experience. The driver shared many personal insights about Belfast as he guided us through the city. We are still thinking about what we learned on the tour as we hear news about Brexit in NA. It's a wonderful tour. The best of luck to everyone in NI and the UK
M. O.
Thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Stevie was our tour guide and he made us feel comfortable, made us laugh at the offset and shared his indepth knowledge of the history of Belfast which was harrowing at times. We got more than what we were expecting from the tour and would definitely recommend it to friends and families.
K. L.
While visiting Belfast, My husband and I Decided at the last minute to do a Black TAXI cab tour. Our driver picked us up at our hotel downtown and, for 90 minutes, enlightened us on the Troubles, explaining facts and events in a very objective manner. This was by far the most poignant tour of our two week vacation. We learned so much and we only scratched the surface of living history. Visiting Belfast without knowing and understanding the historical events would be a missed opportunity. We highly recommend doing this tour! Well worth the time and money!
P. B.
We had a great tour with Ciaran. Highly recommended
R. N.
We thoroughly enjoyed our Black Taxi Cab tour of Belfast. Stevie was a wonderful guide and taught us much about the Troubles. It was just the right length of time, 90 minutes. We'll worth the time and money when you're in Belfast.

A. T.
Brilliant tour. Tour guide explained the troubles in exceptional detail.
M. G.
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our day tour of the Giant's Causeway and Antrim Coast. I had mistakenly thought there was an itinerary laid out for the day, but there was not. It ended up being fine, as our driver was flexible about taking us to places we wanted to visit (like the Dark Hedges) and suggesting places that weren't on our radar (like the town of Ballycastle). He was also fun to chat with and shared interesting stories about Northern Ireland's history and about famous people who came from there. I liked having a taxi much better than being in a large tour group and would recommend to people who value flexibility over a highly planned-out day.
D. K.
I brought a few family members from Cork on a tour. Excellent tour by a very knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Stevie was an absolute gentleman and gave a very balanced view on the history. Thank you
L. O. S.
I’ve done this tour 3 times as part of 3 different groups and each time it was fantastic. Tucker was the guide and he gave a really balanced and detailed account.

Booked this tour as part of our visit to belfast and it was definitely the highlight of our trip. Our guide patch gave a totally unbiased, informative and a memorable tour. Can’t recommend this tour highly enough and I would say ask for patch.

M. N. (. M.
Our hotel booked us a tour with Black Taxi Cab. The expectations we had were huge because of all the recommendations we had read. However, Eddie, our guide, did an excellent job and exceeded our expectations by far. The tour was extremely instructive. We could have hardly ever imagine that up today Belfast still is a divided city and that BREXIT may make things even worse.
T. F.
We took the tour on 9th August and our guide, Stevie, was absolutely excellent. Having lived through the troubles, he knows exactly what he is talking about. We would highly recommend him as your tour guide.
E. B.
Great ride and a must do when you visit Belfast. Driver will stop at several interesting places during a 90 minute tour. You get a lot of info and answers to your questions. Thank you very much Eddie!
J. R.
We were extremely appreciative of the detail and objectiveness with which our wonderful guide Joel educated us on of course what is a sensitive issue for many. If you're looking to learn more about something you may have heard of but don't really know too much about, this is a fantastic way to do where you will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions in a safe and interactive way.
K. M.
This was a brilliant tour, good value with a very knowledgeable and engaging guide. Isaac was able to answer all of our questions and the afternoon flew by.
M. L.
Our tour guide/driver Danny Hughes was absolutely brilliant he went above and beyond for us and is such a gentleman. Would defo recommend to friends.

Had a really interesting tour from a friendly local who was really informative. Highly recommend.
C. K.
Very nice tour and to learn about the history
A. A. N.
Had a packed weekend in Belfast, 17 people in total, Black Taxi Cab Tours could not do enough for us and nothing was a rush and made the weekend the best. Organised taxis from both airports to bring the party together, at hotel, the guys allowed us to get sorted and then start our tour, from the moment we met the banter was good and the general chit chat into town kept eveyone informed of what had been going on in Belfast. The tour was excellent and informative and everyone left with a better understanding of communities and what had been going on. We also used the guys to take us to Go Karting later in the day, again organised pick up time, everything went like clock work and the guys made you feel that nothing was to much trouble. Thankyou for looking after us and arranging the day... Would defintely use again and I have no worries they could handle any party size in there stride...
t.
Excellent tour
A. C.
Great tour and guide, a must do in Belfast.
R. M.
Excellent tour. John has in-depth knowledge and experience that made the tour extremely informative and rememberable. If we return to N Ireland will do it again. R&L Manson
D. K.
Outstanding!
Our driver Danny knew his stuff and told us stories he could back up with newspapers from both sides of the conflict. Distressing and hard hitting I came away with more questions than I'd arrived with and with deep concerns for this divided community. Thank you for helping us to see both sides of the divide
J. M.
Very interesting tour by Steve who was very knowledgeable and friendly. We will definitely do this again at some point it was well worth the time and effort from ourselves and the company
E. R.

Had Stevie as our guide, he gave a great background on the religious and political rivalries, and had a very unbiased retelling in my opinion. Along with being patient and personable he also had some great jokes.
I. B.
Very personal journey through the troubles and how life was during and the current state of affairs. It was uncomfortable hearing some of the stories, but I appreciated the honesty and how it is still a consideration with leaving EU and current elections. Would highly recommend.
