We had a lovely morning running round Birmingham on Sunday with a very informative guide (Hannah). Nominally a 10k route, with historic buildings, modern street art, along the canals, finding new corners of the city that I didn't know before.

I recently came across Run of a Kind. I'm fairly new to running and found this experience highly rewarding as I've improved my running distance, made new friends and learnt new things about the city. Definitely recommend :)

I really loved the running tour of Birmingham with Run Of A Kind. Despite being a lifelong Brummie I learned loads of new facts and stories about the my city and its history, and saw a few new places along the way. As a novice runner I was a bit nervous about whether I'd be able to keep up or not, but the pace was really relaxed and there were plenty of stops to hear about our surroundings. Lucy was really lovely and welcoming, she introduced herself and got the group to do the same, and very soon we were all chatting to each other while running between the sights. By the end of the tour we had all made some new friends and I was really surprised at how much ground we had covered. I'd recommend it to anyone, and will definitely be going back when covid restrictions are lifted.

Such a great way to see different parts of Birmingham, learn some fun facts and meet some lovely people (all while going for a run)! Even as someone who's lived in Birmingham nearly 10 years I still learned a lot and really enjoyed it. I'd definitely recommend booking onto one of their running tours whether you're new to Brum or not.

Absolutely LOVE!!! RUN OF A KIND! Such a great way to see the city. Lucy took us to so many places I would never have seen otherwise. We learnt a lot about the history of Birmingham, lots of interesting facts. The pace was perfect, not too quick or slow, whatever works best for the group. They're always super friendly too. We stopped at the pub for a nice social afterwards as well which was optional but really adds to the friendly social feel. Would 100% recommend.

Having never done a running tour before I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was fantastic. Lucy was really knowledgable and spoke enthusiastically about all things Brum. The time flew by and the pace was perfect - definitely not something to worry about. Anyone who is thinking they are not sure .... Book it - you won’t regret it.

I did part 1 of the Best of Brum running tour in July 2020. I was a reasonable runner in my teens, but I am now 58, and haven’t run for years. I did Couch to 5k in April/May and continued running 40 minutes 3 times a week through June. I was a bit worried that I would not be able to keep up with the group, but that wasn’t a problem. Six stops with really interesting information to get my breath back, and many places I had never been before. When I struggled on a steady incline up to the Jewellery Quarter, Lucy noticed and ran with me, encouraging me all the way. I can’t wait to do part 2 when lockdown ends!

Absolutely loved the BEST OF BHAM tour we did as a special private event which I booked for my Peachy in the Park fitness participants - it was a fantastic way to engage them in some extra curricular fitness activity outside of the park classes!! A very sociable and very safe thing to do and Lucy is AMAZING! Such a nice relaxed vibe, super friendly and full of facts. Peachy crew will be back to run around the second city with you a second time!! And third! And fourth no doubt!
