As parents we are absolutely thrilled with our son’s experience with Sporting Opportunities. This is an outstanding organization. Their communication and professionalism has been so appreciated as our son was embarking on this adventure on the other side of the world. He has learned skills, and made friends for life! He talks about returning to volunteer throughout college, and return as a coordinator after graduation. I’m very happy with my experience on the Videography internship. St Lucia is a beautiful and vibrant destination to visit. The organisation are great at providing support for you to see the island and experience the culture while providing local knowledge. I would highly recommend this internship for people wanting to work on their personal skills while travelling. The placement also allows you to get involved in the coaching, which has allowed me to support both rugby and cricket. The rugby on the island is growing and helping to facilitate that growth is enjoyable.

I travelled to St Lucia in February 2020 to coach rugby and do a sports internship and had the best time. The place, the people and the coaching all exceeded expectations. I enjoyed it so much that I’m now back in St Lucia and enjoying the beaches, street party's and sports again.

Travelled to Ghana for 4 weeks, and had an amazing time out there. Managed to do some really rewarding work out there, and met some incredible people out there. My son Noah did a three week placement in Ghana this summer with sporting opportunities. He was. totally overjoyed with the placement. Upon his return the first thing he said was that he could have stayed longer. For him the experience was exactly what he needed during this Covid times. He was. able to engage with students from other countries and make new friends. He. totally enjoyed training. the boys. and girls in Ghana and interacting with the people there. Personally for him the experience help him to grow in confidence and start believing in himself. The weekend excursion was fun but also educational. He said the people and the country is very beautiful. As a parent I am so pleased that I encouraged Noah to undertake this trip and participate in the program.
