This is a great thing to do, really informative without being dry. Packed with information about Cardiff, relayed in a very relaxed and engaging way. The two hours went by very quickly, not arduous. Think our tour was a bit longer as was a large group, felt we were well looked after. Eugene has a very easy manner and knows his stuff. Really glad I booked this as a birthday surprise for my husband, part of a two night break in Cardiff, really made the trip. Would recommend this tour, really helps bring the city to life. I'm likely to return to Cardiff as its great for shopping, will also book a further tour with Fogo's.

Both me and my wife are big fans of free walking tours as the guide must be confident that customers will enjoy themselves enough to pay what they think the tour was worth. Eugene is an incredibly nice guy and has lots of historical knowledge about Cardiff. The tour we had lasted over 2 hours and was very interesting from beginning to end. We always like to start a city break with a walking tour as it sets us up for the next few days, giving more knowledge on places to visit and an an idea of where things are. We found the knowledge that Eugene gave us allowed us to plan our next few days, confident that we were making the best of our time in Cardiff. As someone who has a passion for history and is currently studying history at degree level, I definitely recommend that any stay in Cardiff starts with a tour by Eugene from Fogo's Free Tours

I loved the tour! I took, both, the Cardiff and Swansea Walking Tours over the Easter Weekend (2022). Eugene, the tour guide, is excellent: dynamic, fun and full of knowledge. From the tours: You get to see exactly what you need from both cities in the space of around two hours. It's a great way to get to know Cardiff and Swansea and key sites. I learned so much and highly recommend the experience.

I have always thought that the walking tours are one of the best ways to explore a place. We took two tours: Cardiff city tour and the Dark side tour. The tours were very informative and fun. Eugene is very friendly, funny and knows his stuff. In addition to the informative tours, he gave us suggestions about restaurants, pubs and Welsh food to try in the city. He also suggested other places of attraction that we could visit. For example, we would have totally skipped the National Museum has he not told us about the famous paintings that are on display at the museum! I have taken a few of the walking tours in other cities and I can understand the challenges to come up with tours for smaller cities like Cardiff and still have a diverse range of things to talk about during the tour and Eugene really does a great job! Do consider taking at least of the walking tours with Fogo's Free Tours if you are in South Wales, you will thoroughly enjoy your time!

Eugene is a great tour guide if you are travelling to Cardiff and would like to explore more about the City’s past. He is quite knowledgeable about the area. He also gives the tour members a chance to ask questions which makes the entire session quite interactive and interesting.we were a family of four with kids 5 and 10 and he was quite accommodating despite my younger one running around all the time. Do try him out if you plan to visit Cardiff.

Great experience! I always try to do walking tours when visiting a new city (so I have done a few already) and this one was really good. Eugene is a great guide, he knows a lot about Cardiff and he shared the information in a way that it was both fun and informal. The distances are not too long, so completely OK to do this with kids. We took the tour in June 2021 and we felt completely safe, everyone respected social distancing rules and we were all the time in open spaces. Would highly recommend!
