What a fantastic boat trip! Ben was an excellent, friendly guide and his boat very comfortable for the tour. I couldn't believe all the wildlife we saw just beyond the bay, the herons and swans were lovely. I appreciated learning more about the city and its nuances. I would highly recommend a trip, or private group event aboard Daffodil.

We boarded the Daffodil upon our visit to Cardiff bay and we absolutely loved it. Super friendly, fantastic wildlife and information about the surrounding area/buildings. Great price too and very convenient to have contactless payment. I’ll definitely be taking a ride aboard the Daffodil every time I visit the bay!

A great way to see Cardiff Bay! The boat trip took 20 minutes and cost £6 each. Our captain was very friendly and full of facts along our journey - it was great to find out new things about Cardiff after living here for 9 years!

Great fun! Lovely little 20 min tour of the bay with a very engaging captain. Great value for money. Kids (2 and 4) really enjoyed it, as did we!

My first time in Cardiff. The weather was great and I couldn't resist going on the boat trip. I chose the Open Boat (aka Daffodil) and I wasn't disappointed. A must do if you visit Cardiff.

Excellent. Good tour around the bay. Lovely little boat. Nice trip to do on a nice day. Well worth the price. On a first come basis so just wait or you could be waiting a long time if a que forms as only 11 allowed on at one time. A good knowledgeable tour around the bay.

A great introduction to Cardiff Bay. The captain was very friendly and told us loads of interesting facts about the Cardiff Bay area and its history. The boat ride took around 20 minutes and we were lucky enough to have a private tour! At £6 each it was great value as well.

Excellent short boat trip, lots of information from the owner, especially Doctor Who locations when asked! Nice touch of warm blankets if it gets breezy.

We went on the boat trip yesterday with our little boy and he loved it the captain was fabulous great tour information very good value for money

He’s been out of business through the nicest of weather. The boat is totally open for circulation and should have been allowed to operate. Busses are being used with a greater risk. Good luck for the coming days

Great little 20min tour around Cardiff Bay. The captain was very entertaining and knowledgeable! We went in late November, and thought it might be a bit too cold given that it is an open boat, but the provided blankets made it very enjoyable. And only £3pp!!

Amazing tour, we really enjoyed it.
The bay was beautiful and our captain was great fun and really friendly.

I love the open boat otherwise known as HMS Hypothermia. Ben the Sea Captain is very knowledgeable and funny. I particularly liked his first hand tales of his time in the bay when it was fully tidal and working as lock keeper for Roath Basin.

Me and my son ABSOLUTELY LOVE Ben and his boat trips. We first took a trip on his boat when my son was just 2 years old. After a long afternoon my boy fell asleep within minutes of leaving the jetty. 5* review from me.

(Translated) Really recommendable! We had a lot of fun. Since we are on the way to Dr. Who Experience were, we were of course provided with numerous DW facts. The captain automatically ensures a good mood.
