Had numerous trips with this company from Skye to Disneyland and many in between. Recenrly doing the trip to Fort William/Glencoe and then another to Skye. Having everything included and reserved seating makes the trips so much more enjoyable. I wouldn't think twice about booking with one already for next month.

Brilliant scenery in Scotland, travelling was long but stops on the way. Driver was polite and lovely, hotel was ok ...room needed cleaning but staff and the food were excellent, will definitely book again 😋

Just came back from a 4 day trip to Bosworth Hall Hotel and Spa.
Visits to Stamford, Matlock and Bakewell, and a couple not shown in brochure.
Coach driver was very professional and friendly, gave clear Instructions at each drop off and how to get to markets, sites, parks and other amenities, also timings and length of stay in areas.
The Hotel was beautiful and lovely grounds. Full English breakfast every morning, selection of cereals, continental breakfast. Toast, tea and coffee, buffet style, our breakfast was at 7:30, which I found less busy as hotel seemed to be very full. Dinner started with soup, then there was a carved meat, another selection pie or chicken, and fish dish, selection of vegetables. Pudding a selection of 3 cakes to choose from with cream. Our sitting was early 5:30 again self serve buffet style, tea and coffee available. The bar was next door so you could buy a drink to have with your meal or after. There was some seating in bar area, also an enclosed courtyard or a short walk along corridor to settee style seating, including recliner settees. After a long day very relaxing.
The room 155 we had was compact double, the windows were difficult sash old type difficult to open once closed, wardrobe was sliding mirrors off the tracks, a lot of noise to open and close. Bathroom had large bath with shower above which kept getting scalding hot, Bath was deep which was good for those who like baths, I shower and found it difficult to camber into and out of bath for shower, not suitable for those with flexibility issues , also ceiling was looking worse for wear, loose paint. The bed was a little firm for my liking. Saying that it had tea and coffee making with enough tea, coffee and sugar. Milk if further required was from reception, same for toilet rolls and clean towels as due to circumstances(covid) no cleaning was done during stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. It is a very old building and could do with renovation but I liked its character, didn't see the ghost or blood seeping through. Also didn't have time for spa which was a shame. Next time might forgo the trips and enjoy the swimming and leisure spa.
All in all a very enjoyable trip, beautiful weather too Thank you

Great trip to Black Forest, Germany last week, feeder bus from Glasgow and met coach at Scotch corner, driver Graham was very knowledgeable about local areas and an excellent driver and trips to different locations we're good. Hotel, although location could have been better, was a traditional German Inn, food was lovely and plentiful and rooms were good and serviced every day. Looking forward to booking again

Just back from a lovely 2 day trip to Liverpool. Our driver Alex was very pleasant had a laugh and enjoyed our journey. Hotel was clean and fresh, central for shops n pubs, dinner was nice...good entertainment..certainly worth the money , first journey def won't be the last. 😁

We have just returned yesterday from Scotland & Sound of Mull, our bus driver Gary was very informative, very friendly and very approachable nothing was too much trouble. After injuring my back we had to stay in the hotel for the second half of the week so Gary went to get me some medication. Thanks Gary you really are the best at your job
M. M.
Our driver Lee was exceptional. Good communication skills. Very competent driver. Would hope to see him again. As for hotel, tired, but clean, comfy bed. Food was great.

Just back from Llandudno 5 day holiday, absolutely brilliant from start to finish. A big shout out to our driver Trevor who went above and beyond absolutely brilliant, he's a credit to your company. Hopefully will get him in the near future. Thank you Trevor for making our holiday.

Just finished 3 day minicruise to Amsterdam with my sister. I can honestly say I have not enjoyed myself as much in a very long time. Our driver " nino" was absolutely fantastic. From pick up to holiday end he was informative, friendly, kind, and just the funniest man ever, which kept this whole fantastic bus load of people going for 3 days. Amsterdam was fab, the boat was so enjoyable with amazing entertainment and food. Cabins were spotless and comfortable . But our driver made our holiday.
Such a mix of fab people with a great leader. He must be an absolute asset to caledonian travel or indeed any bus company that he should ever work for.

I went on a mystery tour with Caledonian Travel on Saturday 12th November 2022, this trip was amazing. Ended up in really nice places like Windemere. Our hotel the holiday inn was great very clean and beds very comfy their food was great also. We really lucked out and had great weather also. My biggest gratitude is to the driver CAROLINE and her hubby Billy. They were absolutely fantastic and a credit to Caledonian Travel. Caroline was very informative at all times to us and they were so friendly and helpful. She was so professional and down to earth. 5 stars for your driver Caroline. I hope I get her on another trip with Caledonian Travel. THANK YOU.

Had an absolute blast on a Mystery Tour. Best £69 EVER spent. Big shout out to Dave Reidy our driver who was amazing. Couldn't have done better for the destinations Keswick, Windermere and Blackpool. Stayed overnight at the Holiday Inn Presto which was really nice. Can't wait for our next one. 100% recommend 👌

If you have never travelled with caledonian you will be presently surprised. The staff at caledonian are really helpful " if they can they will" nothing is too much trouble. The coaches are clean and tidy and most of the drivers are helpful and very jolly, just what you need on a long journey
M. H.
Had a great Mystery Tour with our driver Patrick. Such a fantastic weekend away with multiple stopovers at secret destinations. Patrick went above and beyond the tour organised by Carl to accommodate his passengers. Great laugh with our fellow travellers and the bus bants were hilarious. Fab overnight at our hotel which had a spa with pool, sauna, steam room and jacuzzi followed by a fab brekki. Would highly recommended this tour to anyone looking for an adventure which is great value money

Just home from a great trip to Manchester and Liverpool markets . Excellent from start to finish . Special thanks to our driver John Reilly . Who communicated very well with us all kept us informed made us laugh and drove with care 👏👏👏👏👏

Had Xmas @ Blackpool Georgian Hollies great entertainment & service, close to Tower & shopping, that's the good 😊 the bad, food awful!! restaurant below ground level & cold, more like a work's canteen!! rooms ok & clean but poor heating!! lifts temperamental, very poor!! I'm surprised they passed the safety laws! might be ok on the summer months!! Drrrrrrrrrrr
R. M.
Great 3 days down in the cotswolds, finishing with a lovely day in Stratford. Rob our driver was top class, kept us all entertained over the weekend.
Thank you
K. R.
I do wish Caledonian would check the food at the hotel's its guests stay at to make sure its edible. Twice I've been on mystery trips and stayed at holiday inn (Warrington and Redditch) to have disgusting food served, totally inedible. This is really letting the trips down, I dont expect a five star meal but I do expect something I can eat. The rest of the trips are amazing

Glasgow to Peterhead. 3 nights. Bad day for our driver, tim, on day one because of the queen's funeral. Everywhere he stopped for a comfort break was closed and we found the toilet on the bus was broken. Tim eventually found us a comfort stop. Day 2 Tim spent his break at first bus, while we were in Aberdeen, with and engineer but couldn't fix the toilet as it needed a part. Day 3 Tim spent his break again up to his elbow in the toilet but still no success. As for Tim himself, he is a nice bloke who tells bad jokes to keep you entertained while traveling but knows lots if interesting facts along the way. Well done Tim. On a more serious note, if you are on SF17EDJ in the next few weeks don't blame the driver if the toilet still isn't working as Tim did the best he could so it's down to Caledonian now..
J. M.
We had a great time with caledonian travel with our driver -Walter, who was a breath of fresh air. He entertained non stop. Love the visit to Windsor Castle and to Brighton. Really had a lovely time. Please say thanks to Walter from the Maryhill girls.

Just back from a London/Windsor Thursday to Sunday trip departing from Paisley. From start to finish it was excellent, stayed at the Europa Gatwick hotel,we had a large warm clean room with all the facilities we needed food was fine and day trips were good, big shout out to John our driver who went above and beyond his duty and Caledonian should be proud to have him as one of his drivers.

Just returned from an absolutely FABULOUS, Caledonian, 5-day break @ Melrose, The Waverley Castle (see my review on their website). This is a super hotel. Warm welcome, lovely room which met my particular requirements, delicious food in a the lovely restaurant setting (with top marks to Carol for her running of it). Stunning setting, near the river, with walks in both directions. We had trips out every day, to places of beauty and interest. Anyone who knows The Scottish Border area will know that it's well worth visiting! I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel and am already longing for a return visit. I am already looking forward to returning, so, Caledonian, please, do retain this holiday in your portfolio. I will be spreading the good word to friends and family. [The following text was my first review.] Not yet stayed at this hotel, but wanted to show my appreciation for The Waverley acceding to my request re requirements needed for a holiday later this year, booked via Caledonian Holidays. I really do appreciate it and am so very much looking forward to returning to a lovely hotel in a lovely setting and one with happy memories of a past holiday there. Thank you again! An unusual review, as I've not been on holiday yet! However, my thanks and top marks go to Caledonian, to Alice (who made the booking) and the holiday hotel at Melrose, for responding to, and dealing with my requirements. I really do appeciate it!

Affordable prices. Great buses. Hotels are not the Ritz but I'm not complaining when you get prices so good for travel, accommodation, food and excursions !!

It’s our first holiday with Caledonian travel and we were very impressed with the money back guarantee if the holiday does not go ahead. The driver was most informative, pleasant and very helpful giving a contact telephone number in case we needed to speak to him urgently. Nice little treats from him was a lovely gesture and would highly recommend them for a holiday. Will definitely use them again. Thank you to Gary our driver for a lovely experience.

We have just returned from a family trip to London & it was a great weekend. We booked the London Eye & Thames River Cruise trip for £169 & it was worth every penny. What a bargain. Walter our driver was brilliant and even gave us a tour of the city on Saturday morning & his knowledge made the tour even better. This was my first trip with Caledonian Travel & I can't wait to book another one. Great experience from start to finish.
M. F.
Brilliant time. Hotel Brilliant. Food Brilliant Driver Brilliant Walter Was very knowledgeable. Knew his stuff. Brilliant fun Will Absolutely Book Again

Just had a weekend away in Edinburgh with Caledonian travel, and it was five star service all the way. Our driver Gary had so much local knowledge, he made the journey very interesting, toffees and shortbread included. If you wanted to know where anywhere was while in the city he was able to tell you.The hotel was clean but the food was disgusting, Saturday evening meal was awful, the young staff were always polite but badly under trained. But it did not spoil the w/e.
I would highly recommend the trip but maybe a change if hotel.

Having just returned from a 2 day break which was much needed, I have arrived back home feeling relaxed and very pleased as our first time with Caledonian Travel. Will definitely be going through this company again.
Geoff our coach driver (from Teeside) was extremely informative from start to finish, he was also very funny with his jokes. Explained what would happen when we got to each destination. Great value for money.

Joined this party in Hamilton. Caroline our Driver and Billy were there for all and never stopped smiling. No evening entertainment but we met some great company and made our own, we never stopped laughing. Food was good. We had full itineraries from day one. From canal sail, steam engine journey, Bolton Abbey and various wee villages. Well done to all concerned. Elaine and myself are now home for a rest.

Recently arrived back from Lake Garda where I stayed in the Royal Hotel at Garda Town, which was not a pleasant experience. When we arrived we were given a welcome drink, not sure what it was and then we were ushered into dinner, when I say ushered we were treated more like a herd of cattle and all that was missing was a cattle prod. We were crammed in with very little room to eat, and this was the norm for the duration of my stay, on the first night they ran out of food and most of us had to wait until they cooked spaghetti, however to be fair thereafter the food was pretty good and there was plenty of choice. With regards to the hotel, a coat of paint will not fix this, it needs knocked down and rebuilt, so out dated, tired with many many faults. Along with myself a few of the guests had no toilet rolls and my last day no clean towels which is basic housekeeping. We stayed in another hotel on route to Garda and also on the return Journey and both of these hotels were first class, but this is not what you get with the Royal, complete opposite, wonder if this is why we were only told 10 days before departure that Caledonian had advertised the wrong hotel. We booked The Royal Hotel at Riva Del Garda (4 stars) and got The Royal at Garda Town (3stars)more like 1 star. The reason I gave this review 3 stars is for the drivers who are amazing, Rob took us to Hull for the ferry and Mark took us from Rotterdam to Italy and both were professional and friendly, if the holiday was just down to them it would be 5 stars. You will enjoy the holiday with the exception of The Royal at Garda Town. Below is my tiles in the shower and the air con which was really bad and dripping water with Gaps in the ceiling. Overall, a great holiday, spoiled by the quality of The Royal.

The driver Phil was nice and we couldn't fault the trip to London or the hotel Hyatt Place and its staff. All lovely. It's just a shame it wasn't a bit closer and was let down by a lack of communication.
Trip details are too vague they need to start doing intenarys.
Booked a trip for the 'London Weekend Special' What's 'special' is that your hotel is nowhere near London. We've been on London coach trips before and never been this far out. But what actually spoilt things slightly was that it was never once mentioned that we would be travelling with people who had booked onto a musical tour. Secondly, that we wouldn't' be dropped off at the hotel first. Had we known that we wouldn't be taken straight to the hotel or if a hint was given that we would be that far out of London then we maybe wouldn't have bothered booking or at least would have been more prepared. Fair enough we maybe could have rang up and asked for details but since we've done trips to London both for leisure & musicals. We thought we'd be safe.
It also would have prevented a slightly embarasiyng interaction with Phil when loading onto to the coach. Because if I'd have known it was a multi trip coach I would have known to say the 'weekend special' rather then 'London' so it might be worth mentioning to Phil to ask people something like "are you seeing a show or just sigh seeing" instead. As I didn't know what he meant when I was asked.
We had to make our own way to the hotel with our case which took over an hour.
I tried Caledonian as National Holidays can be a bit hit and miss. But they at least send you your holiday intenary 5 days before departure. We had nothing from Caladonian.
We booked this trip as we booked to see the Red Hot Chilli Peppers at London Stadium and since we don't drive we thought it would be easier for us to do it this way. Sadly that wasn't the case.
We'd have rather have paid a bit more to have a hotel closer to London.
Whilst I know that Caledonian were not aware of our plans they maybe could have taken into consideration concerts going on or that some people might have wanted to go back to the hotel first. I don't see why that couldn't have been an option.
Overall. The concert was well worth the hassle and it could have been a lot worse for sure. And we had a nice afternoon in London before heading back. But our overall experience could have been better.

Just had 5 brilliant days round Ayr ,Loch Lomond and areas in between, stayed at Adamton country house ,Prestwick, good food ,clean rooms ,though not checked daily due to staff shortage, public area near a deep clean as all dusty, staff very friendly and helpful with any questions. Good all round trip .Who I must give 100% to was our driver Tony ,helpful, always checking we were OK (when in hotel) ,had a great sense of humour...brilliant .would travel with your co. Again if all your drivers are like him. Will probably looking at other tours with you ,this was 1st.trip with you ,thoroughly enjoyed.

We have recently returned from Italy with Caledonian and although we had a lovely time seeing all the sights, it was not the holiday I expected. Before we left I called the office to ask about our cases on the ferry and would we be able to get them off. I was told they didn't know and to ask the drivers. When we got to Hull and met the other coach, the drivers Tony and Simon, who were brilliant for the whole holiday may I say, said we needed an overnight bag and were we ot told. I explained what I had been told by the office and they shook their heads. Not only had we not been told that but also had not been sent the forms to get into Holland either. Thankfully we didn't need them but this was not organised very well. No forms, not told of bags or masks and no itinerary either. We got to Italy and once there we realised the hotel was quite dated but the room was clean just very small for 2 people when others had very large rooms. We were supposed to have a welcome drink but that never happened and the food......well to start there was no choice.....you got what you were given and the menu they printed was in Italian so we didn't know what we were going to eat. My partner is pescatarian, which I did inform on the booking and confirm with the hotel when we arrived yet, every meal time they insisted on putting meals with meat infront of him. I had to tell them EVERY NIGHT he could not have them. They gave him a salad each time but no vegetarian option was offered. The food itself was disgusting, small portions and no veg with the meat. The dessert was the only things we could say were alright. We also had on the booking 5 nights dinner, bed and breakfast but we didn't get 5 nights as the day we were at Rome we were told no dinner and we got a breakfast bag, which was again disgusting for that days breakfast. Also no dinner on the overnight stay in Stuttgard either. Overall the hotel and food were not good but the place and the drivers were brilliant and that's why I gave the 3 stars mainly for the 2 drivers who I would totally recommend.
L. F.
Just been on Arrochar and Mull.
Was totally amazing. The staff at the hotel were brilliant and could not do enough. They deserve a medal for all there hard work.
Cannot fault anything at the Hotel value for money and more.
The driver were brilliant on the tours very informative and helpful.
Again could not do enough.
Thank you Guys .
There was one woman on the holiday that spoilt it for some people and they should have thrown her out of the hotel.
It's people like her that spoil it for others.
Caledonian Travel.l don't know how you do it.
Thank you

Went on our first ever coach trip to Emerdale and Skipton staying overnight at Burnley. Alan, our driver was five star himself, full of information with superb humour. Driver of the month I would say. Will definitely try another trip in future.

Stayed at Holiday Inn Express, Burnley, where rooms were really good standard, staff polite, helpful, and good food. 2 days in the Lake District. Day 1 tour around lakes, a few stops including Bo'ness with option of booking boat tour on Lake Windermere. Day 2 Guide alights coach and driven around Pendle Witches area. Highly recommend this tour.

I didn't travel with them however be mindful of their drivers as I had one be very aggressive and verbally abusive to me as he believed I had park in turning circle however wasn't willing to come and look properly and was totally wrong. Manger however was very good and dealt with my complaint very well.

My friend and I went last weekend to Leeds/Manchester Christmas market. Very impressed by the driver, Richard, giving clear directions for shopping and markets. He informed us of times etc for meals and itinerary for the next day.
The hotel, The Holiday Inn was lovely and the meal fantastic.
Definitely recommend! Great work keeping us all in order Richard. Well done!

Where do I start. Returning from a fantastic four day break in the Claymore hotel, my memories will last for a long time. The driver Allan was helpful and knowledgeable of the area's we covered. The hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. The food was delicious, just as good as a first class restaurant. Our trip to Oban via Inveraray was interesting, beautiful views ( when the rain stopped, which it did ). The trip to Fort William was a fantastic experience, the views of Glen Coe were awesome. The passengers on the coach were fantastic. I will have no hesitation in recommending and booking this trip again.

Just back from a break to Scarborough/York.
On arrival at The Royal Hotel, 1st impressions lasted throughout the stay. Spotless, warm and great food, buffet style and plentiful.
The bar prices I felt were rather steep, charging 66p for a dash of lemonade etc.
Trip to York perhaps at a different time in the year would have been better as the City was mobbed but pleasant enough.
Our driver for the break was Declan a well presented and polite man at all times. A real asset to the company.

Weekend away on mystery tour. Visited Keswick Lake Winder and Blackpool on the way back. Bus was mobbed Andy the driver a nice guy. Definitely book again and would recommend them.

Driver was amazing hotel was great but was really disappointed we booked a 3 day lego land spectacular and got 1 day in the park for 700 pound seemed a bit unfair and not well advertised that it's only 1 day in park
D. N.
On the chester zoo trip and the coach driver is 1st class very helpful well done graham keep up the good work

Went on a mystery tour the driver was amazing .however we ended up in Blackpool which I was happy with .until I got to the hotel Norbreck Castle. It was filthy had to go buy cleaning products .it was old damp and the food was help yourself which was unedable no social distancing .then the entertainment came on it was so loud .we had to change room then had to clean that one to sept on my jacket never ate breakfast as it was the same as the night before.it would be best if you did not use the hotel as it was more of an escape room experience than a mystery tour .if you get this hotel refuse to go in .the 3 stars are for the driver.
I.
Great good value holiday`s and breaks. The only quibble we have is that the 99p bar offer at some hotels should be explained properly in the over view of each particular hotel that has the offer. We have recently been to the Riviera Hotel Torquay the 99p bar was limited and it was 99p for half a beer not a pint has most people would assume. The mixers were also chargeable with the 99p spirit offer again people assume these are part of the drink. See photo of the rules and regulations that apply to the 99p bar at the Riviera.
s. b.
Lovely hotel shame when it comes to meal times staff can't wait until everyone is finished their meals on that table, isn't that the right way of waiting on people in a restaurant. Hotel couldn't be any nicer
c. r.
Just returned from an Amazing trip with Caledonian Travel called 'Local Hero ' from start to finish Paul the driver went above and beyond been on a few trips with Caledonian Travel but never had as good a driver as Paul.

Did a mystery tour at the weekend was lovely , this is our 3rd trip away with them and have no complains about the company and the drivers we ended up at Chester and Liverpool and a night in Molt would have given it 5 stars except for a group of people on the bus that spoilt it for everyone with their swearing and loudness they sounded drunk as the got on the coach , they used the toilet all the time even after we got back of from a stop so on the journey home we had no toilet . The driver Gary did his best and threatened not to let them back on the bus , this did seem to help so well done Gary .
A. C.
Just back from amazing trip to Amsterdam with the lovely nino the guy is an absolute credit to your company looking forward to booking up again soon

Went on a 4 day inclusive break to Arrochar with Caledonian Travel, our second time to a lovely hotel , staff as always hard working although they were short staffed ,food really good ,and the 4 drinks included went down well, only went on 1 trip to Fort William, entertainment was good , only disappointment for the weekend was the driver Gary, when he spoke to people as though they were children, mainly elderly, telling them basically to shut up when the singer was on or go and sit in another room , very cheeky , it spoilt the weekend for myself and several other people. Would love to return to this hotel but worried incase he was the driver again
B. M.

Just returned from York Fayre/Leeds overnight. Was not our 1st choice as original trip was cancelled.
Trip overall was good, but there is definitely not enough free time to do as you wish. We arrived just before 2pm in Leeds to be picked up at 5pm. Arrived at bus and driver would only let us in 1 at a time as he was sitting at wheel taking dinner orders. Nothing wrong with that BUT it was blowing a gale outside in freezing winds ( coldest day I believe) and lots of elderly were frozen to the bone,,, we did ask to get on and he bluntly said iNO. Wasn't the most informative driver . Also in the Jury's hotel rooms were really cold as our heating wasn't working, heard a few others saying the same. We did say to reception but nothing was done. Did enjoy our trip but definitely not enough free time as we left at 2pm the next day to come home.

Lovely driver and honest too, I had left my bag on the bus!

Had a fabulous trip
Had a fabulous trip . Myself and my 2 daughters booked with Caledonian Travel. We had a weekend trip to see Dirty Dancing at Bradford Alhambra theatre. We stayed overnight at a brilliant hotel called Hollins Hall Hotel and Country Club at Shipley. Then onto York Market the nexday.
We had a fabulous time from start to finish. Our driver Dave, who had came out of retirement especially, was absolutely brilliant. He kept us safe and well informed at every step of our trip.
The show Dirty dancing at Bradford was really good. It was lovely to be out enjoying a good show and the company of others, what a great night..
The Hollins Hall Hotel was fabulous. Arrival was very organised, everyone was given room keys and Hotel info in a envelope, so no confusion. Our rooms had sanitised stickers on the door and also TV remote , Tea & Coffee etc were all in sanitised bags. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Our evening meal and breakfast were both absolutely delicious and we were provided with excellent service from all of the hotel staff. We would definitely stay again and recommend to everyone.
We also had a good day at York Market , which put us in the Christmas Mood.
Well done Caledonian Travel and Thankyou for a brilliant trip.
We all think Dave should come out of retirement. Thanks Dave..

We went last Thursday ( 21st Oct ) from Sunderland on the bus to London and Windsor.
Not knowing the exact hotel we were allocated, we booked because it was such a late booking bargain price and 3 nights anywhere with breakfast and evening meal included was a snip.
When we reached Darlington ( the last pick up before heading south to our destination ) it was announced that we would be staying in Crawley near Gatwick.
Our hotel ( the Europa ) was fine but a bit isolated. The rooms were nice and quiet as the hotel was well carpeted. Overall the hotel had a 3 star rating and I would agree with that. The staff at meal times were outstanding.
Nothing was a bother. They even responded for off menu items such as ice cream for children and decaffeinated drinks for adults. Great service with a smile !
There was a pub 10 minutes walk away if the hotel bar was not to your liking.
The food was self service and good. No great choice but great value.
I had a few very small complaints but it seems churlish to mention them after such a good experience.
Everyone on the trip made friends with each other over the course of the trip and this was down solely to the efforts and great humour and knowledge of our driver Ray.
We had plenty of toilet breaks going there and back and two trips away to Windsor on Friday and London on Saturday whilst there.
We had an incident leaving London on our last full day which meant we were over an hour late leaving because two elderly passengers had not turned up.
Everyone was concerned about them and the driver made every effort to find them before the police contacted him.
No one was worried about the hour delay, as we would all have hoped the company would have cared after us in a similar way.
Our evening meal was still awaiting when we got back to the hotel due to the drivers foresight. Ten out of ten to the driver also for having to drive through central London in the rush hour and in the now darkness due to the delay.
I was me and my wife's first Caledonian Travel holiday and we would not hesitate to do another after such a lovely time.

We had a fab time ,great value for money .Hotel room was basic but clean, food was tasty and piping hotel .2 for 1 drinks deal in hotel should be clearer , not as goid as it sounds as I was caught out on my 1st order for drinks . Overall a fantastic trip

We went on a 3 day trip to Beverley, Lincoln and York. Our hotel was in Hull though. We had thankfully been upgraded to the Hilton which did not disappoint. Our driver, Terry, was so friendly and knew where to direct us. I'd definitely use them again

The weekend wasn't too bad apart from being left in Blackpool for a couple of hours on saturday and the driver having issues with the bus, nobody got in touch with anybody off the trip. One lady managed to get in touch with someone from caledonian and we were told he would be 15 mins late. The they rang back and said it would be 17:30 ish, if the bus got sorted in time, which meant we had been stood for 1 hour and 15 mins in the cold waiting. We didn't want to go anywhere for a drink or to warm up in case we missed him. By 17:30 he still hasn't come so myself and my husband got a taxi to the hotel which cost us £15, which someone from caledonian had said we could do if we couldn't wait any longer, as i could not stay out in the cold any longer as we couldn't be sure when the bus was going to arrive. I have recently had treatment and my immune system is low at the min. Just thought the break would be a nice change from being stuck at home most of the year. So i needed to be out of the cold, if we'd have known he was going to be so long we could have been sat in a cafe and i would have been ok. We know things can happen on these trips, that's not the issue its the lack of information that is. I do want to be reimbursed for the taxi we paid. Caledonian should have organised something for us, there was only 29 of us on that trip of different ages. The food at the hotel was supposed to be finished at 6 but the staff were great and got us sorted out as they knew it wasn't our fault. Nobody at Caledonian had rang ahead to make the hotel aware of this. They had people's contact details from the bookings so should have been in touch when the driver told them he had an issue.

Fantastic trips bus driver and other passengers my trip was a joy hotel was lively looking forward to my other trips

We have just had a fab weekend away with Caledonian Travel to Gulliver's Valley and Drayton Manor/Thomas Land. We had a good stay at The Holiday Inn, good choice of food provided.
Our driver/host was Gary.. He was full of information, funny, very child friendly and professional. Happy person and the right person for this job.Thank you
The children were all happy on the coach and had a great weekend.
Would have no problem recommending Caledonian travel and will definitely travel with them again.
S. M.
Driver Ray was good laugh and done great helpful knowledgeable around London great trip coach comfy hotel clean and tidy food OK but would recommend the tour for sure
L. M.
Very disappointed not to have even had an acknowledgement of complaints made after the flying scotsman trip. I know I was not alone in raising the quality of food and rude hotel staff at the holiday inn Haydock. However the hotel who charged us £31 for 2 baileys and a pint of lager did not respond either. Won't be my first choice going forward going to give tartan travel a try at least they pick up in Edinburgh.
M. P.
Absolutely brilliant diver was 10 out of 10 would use them again if I go away next year 😀
R. W.
Coaches were clean and comfortable Tony the driver was spot on, extremely helpful and informative even on his day off came to make sure everyone got on the coach for that days trip. Have booked another 2 tours in the near future, only downside was the hotel if any trips mention Brittania hotel will not be booking them. Hotel was poor, food was terrible, staff did not seem interested, dined out a couple of nights it was that bad

On behalf of Donna & Cathy Bodwick who travelled on your trip to Bradford on Saturday, returning Sunday 1st August. Overnight stay at Jury's hotel which was very nice, lovely dinner and breakfast and friendly staff. Very impressed with Paul the driver. Very pleasant and kept them informed through the journey and on trips to Skipton market & Emmerdale. Bit annoying that the Woolpack was closed but had a good time anyway. Would have been perfect if it wasn't for the arrogant couple who got on at Hamilton and continually moaned and b*tched about absolutely everything, including having to wear masks when advised by the driver. The rest of the passengers were happy to oblige, but had to endure snide remarks and foul language from the pair there and back. Anyway, Donna and Cathy would like to commend the driver for keeping his cool under this constant totally unwarranted abuse and personal verbal attacks which were thoroughly shocking at times. They will definitely look forward to future trips with your Company.

Great travel company 👍, coaches are kept clean and tidy excellent drivers, some brilliant destinations and great prices, highly recommend

Went to York & the Dales with Caledonian travel. It was great!! The guide Paul was a gem & kept us updated throughout the journey & told us the full itinerary every morning. Would highly recommend this trip & will definitely travel with this company again.

A great way of travelling at a great price, very few of the hotels leave a lot to be desired but, you get what you pay for. Great service keep it up.

Just on the coach traveling back from Claymore Hotel Arrochar, this is the 3rd trip since July with Caledonian Travel twice to Arrochar & also went to the Cotswolds which was lovely but loved going back to Claymore, had a lovely twin room with a beautiful view & the staff are amazing they go above & beyond what you come to expect, especially Mark in the restaurant , nothing is a bother . As for the driver Gary he kept us all in good spirits on the journey & was very knowledgeable along with our driver to Callander & the Trossachs Ian who again kept us all entertained & up to date with the history of places we went through & visited. Looking forward to our next trip .
P. S.
Looking for a holiday where for a change I wouldn't have to drive.
Decided to give Caledonian Travel a try and wasn't disappointed, I'd previously looked on line at what they had to offer and I had booked a holiday within 10 minutes of entering their shop, very pleasant helpful staff. Would recommend the company, the prices are good as well.

Very good travel company.enjoyed holiday to collumbridge.and Aviemore.

We have just come back from Aberdeen and Braemar 5 days Tour. It was a nice holiday.
Our driver Clive was informative and good.
This was the first time we have been with Caledonian Travel and will not be the last as we look forward to another holiday. I wish you all the very best

Just heading back from a few days break in Leeds and York. Had a fantastic time. We were staying at the Britannia Hotel (Leeds North) which was clean enough and food was lovely. The hotel was not very central for going out at night and there was no entertainment. Our driver Alan is a great character and went out of his way to put on his own entertainment for us all. Alan is the best driver I have ever had and I can honestly say he got everyone on the bus talking and enjoying each others company. A big 10/10 for Alan you definitely added to an enjoyable few days away.

Yorkshire Dales, River cruise and stream train.
We had a fabulous weekend away with friends. Lots of time to wander around skipton market and try out the local pubs.
The river cruise was lovely, serving drinks along the way.
The hotel was superb, and the evening meal and breakfast were far above expectation.
Day 2, we had a short, but enjoyable steam train ride and then a wander around Bolton Abbey.
We had a rest in one of the cafes overlooking the beautiful scenery.
We then moved on to Grassington, where we had a wander around the town, and had a lovely lunch, sat outside on of the many pubs/cafes.
Highly reccomend this weekend away. Great value for money.

Just returned from my first trip and cannot praise this company enough. Immaculate coach, friendly informative driver (on time too), great itinerary, lovely clean & comfy hotel (holiday inn Brighouse)& great tasty food. Can't wait to book another trip soon. Thankyou

Spent one week down in Torquay at the Trecarn Hotel. I was shocked early on, at the amount of people on the coach to start with. It seemed very full and didn't give scope for social distancing. The steam train, river cruise trip to Dartmouth was fantastic, a really fabulous day out. Followed by two free days to explore. The next tour was to Plymouth, which I didn't feel enough free time was given to explore as there was so much to see. The final trip was to Princetown, for cream tea which was lovely and onto Buckfast Abbey which was beautiful and well worth a visit.
Value for money, just can't be argued with for everything that was included. However the Trecarn hotel was very dated, the staff didn't have the best customer service skills, the food was okay...we didn't starve but it also wasn't the best. Best part of the food was the cakes! They were i.ncredible.
Due to restrictions in England lifting on our first day, many of the customers didn't want to wear a mask. On the coach journey down, Alec did make an announcement stating masks had to be worn but this wasn't enforced after this which made me feel uncomfortable especially in such a small space

Traveled twice to alton towers with caladonian travel now. First time was fantastic, no complaints at all but second time they had changed the times of leaving the park. We arrived just before 12pm then lefy at 8pm first time. Second time we didn't get there til after 1pm and driver wanted to leave at 5pm! I wasn't loosing out on time in the park so we got a taxi back to hotel once park was closed instead of being on the bus. I'm going down with them again in October for scare fest so will see how things are then.

I don,t have an issue with caledonian travel but i certainly have an issue with the hotel they use. Mon-fri trip to Scarborough staying at The Grand Hotel. It has to be one of the worst hotels i,ve stayed in. The place is disgusting, the staff not that there was many were so unhelpful, the mess & the drunks that sit outside the hotel on arrival off putting straight away. Police regular visitors to hotel. No social distancing, public toilets an absolute disgrace & the seating area outside at the bar covered in seagull poo & ready to fall to bits. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone & can see caledonian travel losing business if they continue to do so.
T. B.
Staff and drivers are brilliant,, highly recommended, I will be back. Xxx

Looks like the experienced drivers are few and far the one we had would not open both front and side doors at the same time to allow the coach to get plenty of fresh air through the coach never explained to passengers how to operate the air vents so some would complain the coach was to hot or to cold but all in all had a good time
J. H.
We went on a mystery trip on Saturday 26th June.it was fantastic from start to finish. From the first meeting at the coach to our cheerios at the end of our trip it was memorable. Our coach driver was the ultimate professional. Ready to impart his knowledge of the areas we were visiting. Always ready to tell us jokes.yes Andrew wasa truly professional. Would travel with your company again.

Fantastic customer service from Jane phoning Hotel to change my room to a twin. Great trip away on the Robert Burns trip. Love that it cuts out all the hassle and you just need to get on the bus.

Just home from trip with Caledonian Travel as part of a group To War Horse in Newcastle and thoroughly enjoyed the trip. War Horse of course was spectacular but the whole weekend was excellent and great value. The coach was comfortable and spotless and driver Andy was informative, funny, and looked after us well. We had 2 hours free time in Durham on way home which was great - some of us visiting the cathedral and others enjoying the Riverside Walk. Highly recommend!

Great weekend great driver Gordon (his first trip outside of Scotland)
Thought he went above and beyond to keep everyone happy 😊
Would definitely book again with this compeny.

Coronation Street tour was excellent. Shame about the driver who moaned the whole time.
Don't think he really wanted to let be there
M. M.
Just returned from 4 day break to Blackpool . Metropole hotel was disgusting ,have already left review on trip advisor. The saving grace of this trip was driver Gary who was both professional and friendly. I think Caledonian should check out hotels are up to standard.
M. S.
Loved our two week trip to Bournemouth..in royal bath hotel and spa...thank you Claire for getting our same room and thank you Gemma for linking the two tours together for us...we had a great time and Kenny the driver took us some beautiful tours...

Just came back from the grand hotel Scarborough room was very clean and comfortable all meals were very good and good choice all staff were very helpful and polite and coach driver was very nice and informative will definitely travel with Caledonian again excellent value for money

Great service can't fault it Brilliant
V. M.
We have been on a couple of Coach Trips with Caledonian Travel and would highly recommend them, definitely value for money and our last trip to Scarborough was no exception and Robert our driver was excellent. Unfortunately the Grand Hotel was not as "Grand" as we had hoped but is obviously under renovation, so if passengers are elderly or disabled this hotel should be avoided as lifts are totally inadequate and not fit for purpose for a hotel of this size, food not great and staff very inexperienced and unhelpful. Although the hotel was sub standard, the comfortable journey to and from Scarborough and the Day Trips more than made up for this. Thank you Caledonian for another great trip. George and Valerie Marshall, Perth

Great holiday options and really easy to book on their website!

we had booked a two day tour, Cadbury world on day one, Harry potter studio tour on day two. very professional staff, dealt with our booking and questions quickly and with ease. our driver Jim was great, very professional and great customer service at all time. I have no hesitation in recommending Caledonian travel
J. R.
Caledonian travel arrange superb holidays, I have used them for the past 15 years, never a bad hotel, always a fantastic experience, well organised excursions all across Europe, and the UK. Their drivers are first class at finding the best places to visit, and the very best pit stops for a cuppa, but above all, the prices are amazing
V. D.
Been away on the loch lomond trip got home yesterday we had a great time trips every day our driver Gary was full of information about Scotland he made our trip very enjoyable we will definitely be using this company again hopefully our driver will be as good as Gary and keep us safe on our journey x

I had been to Oban the week before....no problem but Lake District we only had 1 comfort break on way home and it was an uncomfortable bus ( new ) but uncomfy seats and less leg room.....update ..went to Hull to Amsterdam with Caledonian but it was a McPhails coach they used VERY tight for space so very uncomfortable journey
J. M.
I phoned the office to ask a few questions. The girl couldn't help me and said the bus driver would give me the answers. Not very helpful at all.

Always fantastic service. Drivers very friendly and helpful. Love our little trips away and looking forward to the next one

My boyfriend and I travelled with Caledonian Travel for 3 day tour of Moray and Speyside.
We were able to get on the bus at Paisley straight away and spoke to our driver John. After all the passenger's were picked up we headed to Perth where we stopped off for a while. On boarding the bus John told us he would be making a comfort break before heading to Aberdeen. He took us to the beautiful ruin of Dunnottar Castle where we were able to use the toilets and walk down to view the castle ruins. After this we headed up to our hotel The Waterside Hotel which was comfortable and well had a great meal. There's a good coastal walk to take if you come out the hotel, turn left go past the houses and keep walking till you find a barrier and a path. This takes you along the river Ugie and cross a bridge and go up over the dunes to the beach.
Next morning after a good sleep and hearty breakfast we were picked up by John and taken to the Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay. You aren't guaranteed to see dolphins but we did. Incredible stone beach and the center was good value as well.
Our next stop was Banff which was pretty and peaceful. The drive back to the hotel was really scenic as well. We had dinner which was great. We went out afterwards and took the coastal walk again. ( after all that food it's a good idea )
We got up on the Sunday morning and we're taken down to Aberdeen where we spent a couple of pleasant hours looking round the shops. It's definitely a place I'd like to visit again.
John gave us a short comfort break before driving back to Glasgow.
All in it was a great weekend break. Good value for money and travelling round the North East. John was a great driver. Approachable, good banter punctual and communicated information that we needed. Will definitely be using company again and hope he's our driver!
L. S.
Thank you for the lovely help your call centre gave regarding the hotel we are hoping to book for our elderly relative this summer. We will be booking asap! Thank you

The girl was very helpful and didnt rush us into anything.

Just returned from a 12 day trip to Budapest, Prague and Vienna which was booked with National Holidays but the coach was Caledonian Travel.
Have to say that although it was tiring and living out of a suitcase isn't fun, we enjoyed every minute. Our driver was an Italian, now living in Scotland, called Nino, and his endless good humour and patience really made the trip better by far than it could have been. Nothing was too much trouble for him, from organising guided tours, boat trips and showing us how to use Budapest public transport. He was a great guy and a credit to the company.
The only downside was that a couple of the hotels were a bit basic, and one, the Ibis at Strasbourg Airport on the way back, was a total disgrace, tiny rooms, incompetent and disorganised staff, none of who looked over 20, an idiot barman who seemed to make prices up as he went along, and disgusting food I wouldn't have given to a dog, but apart from that the trip was great and the three cities were beautiful and the guides good and knowledgeable. Thank you Caledonian, and especially thank you Nino. Only 4 stars because of that terrible hotel at Strasbourg.
M. N.
Just returned from really enjoyable 2 day break to St Andrews/Aberdeen and Cairngorms. Britannia Hotel in Aberdeen did well to accommodate although short staffed at breakfast, food was more than adequate. Thanks also to Willie, our driver for a very pleasant trip.
R. M.
I was on a recent coach tour and there were some problems relating to the travel and hotel, nothing major. I reported to Caledonia n, and after a few weeks , I received a letter of apology and a refund. Well done to them, as I have been on at least 6 coach trips this year, and had they not responded to my one and only complaint, I would never have used them again. It is all about good customer relationship, thanks again, be back in the New Year!
L. K.
Went to St bees Cumbria, fantastic time, hotel on the beach, food wonderful, staff so helpful, sea view, great days out. Danny our coach driver, what a man, looked after us well, so funny, patter was brill. Brought us all together lots of fun . 😄

Just back from a 2 day trip to warrick castle and Harry Potter. I must say Harry Potter was excellent. Our driver was Andy which I can say he was very cheerful and pleasant and a confident and good driver and very knowledgeable about the places he was taking us.
M. G.
Enjoyed our holiday to york, last week, the hotel was brilliant,as were all the staff. The only downside was the driver,he was a man of few words, my friend has a bad knee and sometimes the step was too high for her.
Ink nares borough we stopped too far away from shops or the caves, so a lot of people didn't get off the bus.
L. H.
Just returned yesterday from the Moray New Year Trip which featured Stonehaven Fireballs at the bells. We had a really great time which was made all the more memorable because of our fantastic driver Jim Baxter who went out of his way to ensure everyone of us had a fantastic 4 days. He made a great break fantastic. Thanks Jim your worth the stars alone Linda & Ian Hall (4a & b) 😂😂😂😂

Joined enchanted forest at Glasgow (20/21st October) first point the stance was changed and someone shouted to let people know but forgot about the people in the waiting room! Holiday was really enjoyable except for the change of hotel from one in Pitlochry to one in Braemar, not knowing the area I didn't phone up when I got the letter but found out when I got there it meant a 160 mile and 5hr detour over a road that resembled a roller coaster (we had to travel the road 4 times, once at 10pm) this spoiled what could had been an enjoyable experience on the Friday night. Driver had never been on the road before so was unfamiliar with all the bends and dips.this was a great disappointment.
B. M.
Currently on a Caledonian tour to Amsterdam and on the boat getting ready to head back to hull and I have to say the wee driver Scottish Dave from Newcastle has definitely made this trip an utter pleasure from Glasgow he's been full of fantastic advice and it's been great to have his company, cheers Dave

My friend and I had a great time to the bulb fields in May well worth the money and we going to torquay in August 😁😁

10% day is the best! Caledonian sell reasonably priced package holidays which usually include travel, accommodation, dinner and breakfast, and entrance to attraction. 10% off last minute get aways turns a good deal into a great deal.
C. M.
Went my first tour , at reading the itinerary I thought it was Friday to Monday but turns out it was Sunday we were back. The driver on coach was brilliant can't fault him , hotel was OK but was away out from anywhere and backed onto a moterway , I do plan to travel again but will look into the small print more thutherly

Just back from a 5 day trip to Aberdeen the hotel and food was excellent value but the best part of our holiday was the bus driver john he was always very professional and made everyone on the bus have a great experience also on the journey home john the driver made everyone feel comfortable and we all had a good laugh with him would highly recommend him and the company to all my family and friends

Booked a 4 day trip to scotland staying at the claymore hotel and it was utterly brilliant hotel setting on banks of loch long was breathtakig only bad part was first impression of hotel room but we got over that the staff at hotel were first class and made the stay really enjoable trips out were great coach drivers all first rate highly recommend

Just back from llandudno. Danny our driver was great fun making our journey go in really quick. Doing music quizes and a mind of information so refreshing to see someone really enjoying his job and nothing a bother to him. Staff at chatsworth hotel were lovely. Entertainment good. Especially singer Morgan. But the hotel itself could do with a bit of t.l.c .

Just returned from the 'Christmas on the Cobbles' Tour. The actual 'Coronation Street Tour' was great, but the length of time we stopped at the 'Christmas Markets' was far too long - three and a half hours! Probably two hours would have been sufficient. Unfortunately it was pouring of rain, the whole time we were at the markets, and we were all very wet, disgruntled passengers by the time we got back on the bus. Obviously we cannot predict the weather, but even on a good day, the length of time would still have been too long.
I. O.
Enjoyed a 5 day tour in June to Donegal. Jake was the driver his patter was good and was a good tour guide also. A good mix of age range on the tour. Looking forward to returning in a few weeks on the same tour as we loved the area.

Newquay, Eden Project & St Ives
On 4th September, wife & I travelled approx 13 hours from Glasgow to Newquay. Expected a horrendous journey but actually experienced a very pleasant one. Throughout the 8 days, the driver, Walter, was absolutely 1st class, very obliging & very witty. The hotel, the Pentire, was extremely good and the visitations on most days were easy & interesting. Can't think of any complaints. Excellent value.

They are good in there self ,but they need to review there hotels

Great service and a great way to travel as I don't like planes
J. A.
I was highly dissapointed with my booking from your brochure as I invited friends from other parts of the country to attend to meet up as your brochure stated that the hotel had a pool I have spent close to 1000 pounds with your company this year but it will be my last as I have dissapointed every one as the pool is not open even tho your brochure stated there was
D. D.
Great value for money but the coach was very old and past it's best but supposed it got us there safely and back again but needs a good clean and a lot of the seat's didn't work , but hopefully next time we get a better coach .

well done Caledonian Travel on many holidays for the family, and my parents, and especially now that dad is on his own !! can't believe the cheek of your 1 star review with no comment !! Keep up the good work with your excellent customer service, and relations with your hospitality and coach providers, we had the best driver this year to Lego Land (Roy) what a fantastic man, as all the kids loved him. Had a great overnight on an Arran trour, Portpatrick yesterday then the Adamton Country House Hotel Prestwick. Arran today ferry over had a great day, never been to Arran before lovely scenery. Can't thank our driver Danny enough for his great knowledge of the country side pointing out places and things so we missed nothing of the Ayrshire coast and countryside. His genuine attention to each and every one of us, made us feel special a truly great talent. Thank you for a great overnight experience.

enjoyed a 5 day tour of Donegal this week and would recommend it to anyone over the age of 55/ staying in the Central hotel Donegal town.
the optional excursions to Derry/ Londonderry. & killybegs were made all the more enjoyable by the bus driver Jake's patter and his selection of music and comedy C.D'S . ( It is a pity David Cameron wastes awards to his wifes hairdresser etc. instead if giving them to the likes of Jake) who did a marvellous job keeping everyone entertained throughout a wet week.

Came on a Caledonian Travel "taste of Ocean cruising" which is advertised a 2days, arrived at Buchanan Street for 10.30am and left on time, got to Hamilton bus station then was informed by the driver that we wouldn't getting to board until 3pm and they were taking us to Livingstone outlet village to pass time and would be leaving again at 2pm, eventually got to the ship, there is quite a strict security process before boarding which was quick and easy to get through, we were given a allocated dinner time slot and the food was delicious, we were also informed that the boat was sailing at 8pm and breakfast was at 6am and to be back off the boat by 7am, right now we have been sitting on a coach for a hour and a half waiting on other passangers who are still making their way off the ship, according to out driver we will be leaving Newcastle at 12 noon to head home, so in my opinion this is not a 2 day trip, it is 24 hours of rushing around, trying to enjoy the onboard facilities but also remembering that you have to be up at 5am, not my idea of a relaxing trip, I would not recommend this trip and I have given 3 stars because the food was delicious, the cabins were absolutely fine and on board staff very helpful but won't be booking this trip again.

This is our second trip with Caledonian travel and it was brilliant!
The tour:
We booked a mystery tour which ended up being to Chester on the first day and Liverpool on the 2nd day.
We had plenty of time for shopping in both locations. There was also an additional option to go for guided tour in Liverpool at a low price.
Liverpool has lots of museums and cheap boat trips as well as a big shopping centre
Chester has shopping and has old buildings /historical sites you can visit.
The driver and coach:
Our driver was called Paul and he was brilliant, very, very funny and drove well. People on the coach were wanting to book tours in the future specifically only when he conducting the trips so that should speak volumes about how good he was!
There were charging ports and a working toilet in the coach. Water and cans of pop were available on board for a cheap price
The hotel:
The hotel was just across the border in Wales. It was basic/a little tired but clean. The food was very tasty but small portions for tea. There is room service available.
The breakfast was excellent and the staff were great.
5 stars once again
A. B.
