I joined Brake the cycle for their Lands end to John o' groat tour in 2018 with my partner and it was a truly amazing experience. Everyday was filled with laughs, fun and physical challenges as we cycle through the country. The organisers were amazing and it really felt like we were part of a small family for 3 weeks, the food was delicious and nourishing. The places we stayed at were well chosen and insightful. I truly recommend them for an amazing cycling experience with connections and community at its heart. It is was a true adventure.

Brake the Cycle was an incredible experience, a real adventure that provided too many highlights to recount. The cycling is challenging but plenty of people who are not seasoned riders got on fine, which was nice because it had a sociable and not competitive vibe. Visiting the different projects along the way meant that every day there were things to talk about and consider. I felt totally supported by the BTC team and the trip couldn't have gone smoother from arrival to departure.

My wife and I rode this year's Lands End John O Groats ride for our honeymoon, and we loved it. We rode as part of a warm, supportive, group of folk with diverse backstories and a shared sense of positivity and adventure, nurtured by our friendly and responsible crew. The route was a carefully considered challenge, suitable for those with less training and speed, sticking to back roads that allowed Britain's landscape to unfold, finishing each day in a new and interesting place. Though i'm not from a really eco-conscious background, the accommodation and camping was often much more than just a place to stay, bringing a new perspective on how life can be lived to chew over as we pedalled. And on chewing, the food was really great; i'm not vegetarian but loved what I ate and came back a fair bit healthier than I began! A wonderful time - if you're curious about it, you'd probably love it.

I cycled on the Milan -> Barcelona Brake the Cycle trip in Sept 2017 and it was a truly memorable and unique cycling experience, meeting and sharing with others and learning about different ways and approaches of living along the way, also physically challenging and generally an immersive experience i'll never forget!

I had so many doubts to my cycling abilities before embarking on an adventure with Brake the Cycle. I'm so, so glad I went for it - The crew and my fellow cyclists couldn't have been more supportive and I ended up having one of the most memorable 3 weeks of my life. I loved every aspect of the tour - the route, the food, the camping & accommodation, the team, the ethos, and all the wonderful new friends I've made. Brake the Cycle put so much thought, effort and love into their trips and I really can't say enough to thank them for it! Highly recommended.

I pedaled with Brake the Cycle on the 2016 Bilbao to Barcelona adventure and it was an inspiring, challenging, friendship-building, life-changing experience. The sheer range of emotions you can experience in a day is character building and gives you lessons to take from the road out into the world; I found that it helped me in many unexpected areas of my life. On top of that, it was amazing fun, full of fantastic people who have become my friends, and it showed me some pretty stunning scenery and inspiring projects. Absolutely don't miss it if you get the opportunity to come on a Brake the Cycle tour!

Not just another trip. A potentially life-changing experience: a potent combination of physical challenge, natural beauty, encounters with a diverse and fascinating range of communities and the chance to reflect on values, lifestyles and how we interact with our world and each other. The communities that you visit and temporarily become part of are the backdrop to the itinerant community that you and your fellow cyclists create and share for duration of the trip. I was part of the 2015 End to End, and my experience was that of a journey powered not only by aching muscles, nor the hearty meals each evening, nor the occasional pint of ale, but above all by interaction with some of the most interesting and inspiring people I have had the privilege to meet. Joe's effervescent optimism and energy was an unfailing catalyst for what was an exhilarating and inspiring experience. Recommended.

A brilliant organisation that run trips to change your life - the Land's End to John O'Groats trip of 2018 was an incredible experience - you'll rarely feel better than coasting down the glens of highland Scotland in beautiful spring sunshine. Joe and the crew make everything a smooth and easy joy - the food was great, the spirit of the group beautiful, and there was such warmth and friendship in such a small time.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

The moment I met Joe and the team on my first BTC I felt comfortable, looked after, and safe, so much so that I joined them again on a second tour later in the year. The tours are faultless offering challenge, beauty and fun. BTC really does offer an incredibly unique time and is also an important building block on ones own life journey. I'm utterly enthralled with my new BTC family and look forward to many more adventures with them. Awesome!

These guys are the absolute best. I rode the LEJOG ride, which was an unforgettable experience. Not just for the expertly planned routes, helpful bike advice, delicious food and incredible places we stayed in, but also for the amazing new group of friends I got to ride with. Memories to treasure.
