Good service and we had lots of changes with a group of 20. So thanks to Liam, we made it. However, some of the local knowledge around currency was incorrect. Was told Cuba don’t take USD and to take Sterling. Not correct. Take USD over Sterling for sure. The locals can’t Bank it as it American Dollars but they use it to buy food and general ‘black market currency’. We had Sterling as advised and it was VERY DIFFICULT to use and changes. Bank rate 32 Pesso to the pound. On the street and in restaurants, 80 to 95 Pesso to the pound. Some other issues with the hotel (will feedback directly) and lack of basic food due to embargo and COVID but the people are salt of the earth! And overall had a great break with the family. Fantastic company to deal with. The agent, Miguel Gibson was as helpful as could be in re-arranging my holiday due to Covid, and then promptly dealing with my refund request, as unlikely to be able to travel. I would very strongly recommend, and will definitely use again once normal travel resumes

I booked a tailor made self drive trip to Cuba with Cubadirect. I found everything they did for me was efficient and relevant to my needs. We had a fantastic trip travelling throughout the whole of the island. CD arranged the flights, accommodation, car hire, everything. They suggested an itinerary which to the most part was ideal, a couple of tweaks would have made it perfect. We mostly stayed in casa particulares which was a perfect way to see Cuba, not in the hermetic seal of 5* hotels. At the major centres we were met by the local reps and when we had a problem returning the car, Senor Geraldo San in Holguin was instantly on the case and gave the self drive company a suitable kick to get them sorted. The paperwork and invoicing for the trip before we left was all clear and with plenty of time to make the final payments. I felt we had an excellent service from York Ortiz at CD and would definitely recommend them.

Great Holiday! I was planning to travel independently with my hubbie but after some research decided to book with a local expert. Tip: do 3 or 4 destinations if possible, price should be similar and try the Parisien instead of Tropicana! :)

Unfortunately, we were not able to go to Cuba because of the containment, but the service we received from our travel consultant, Liam Craig, was breathtaking. We are not very experience travellers and this was our first time using an independent travel agency. We were apprehensive about everything really - booking a tailor made trip with six different stops, would we get the trip we wanted, would we feel safe transferring from one place to another, would the B&Bs be a reasonable standard, would we feel we had seen the real Cuba etc.? Well everything was wonderful, our Sales Consultant, David Gonzalez listened, answered our many, many questions and gave us confidence. It felt especially good to know David is from Cuba so he really knew how best to advise us. The paperwork for the trip was clear and we had plenty of time to make the final payments. We were filled with excitement about visiting this amazing country. Emilio in Havana again gave us confidence and arranged a much recommended guided walk plus classic car drive around Havana. We had fabulous accommodation - mainly staying in Casa particulares which was a perfect way to see Cuba,(all were great quality, diverse, spotlessly clean, great breakfasts, great staff/families and had air conditioning), transfers worked smoothly and in themselves provided a great way to see Cuba. We were joyously overwhelmed by our visit, we felt safe everywhere and everyone we met was warm, welcoming and helpful. We would recommend Cuba Direct to everyone and taking a multi location trip - it really is worth it. Cuba is wonderful with much to teach us all. Thank you very much Cuba Direct!

We booked our entire Cuba holiday through Cuba Direct for our holiday in March. Liam was very helpful and tailored our holiday to our exact requirements. We stayed in a number of casas that were an amazing experience. We had heard that transfers in Cuba were not the best but ours ran to perfect timing. I would highly recommend Cuba Direct.
