C. M.What an amazing journey. The knowledge that I gained will remain with me always. This is due to the knowledge Sheikh Mahdi has may Allah swt grant him more. Travel Express exceeded my expectations, from the time I booked my umrah to returning back home all I did was concentrate on my ibaadah and they did the rest and even took care of the COVID test I needed. The hotels where we stayed were of the highest standard and a two minute walk from the grand mosques both in Madina and Makkah. The tours took us to places that we learned in the Seerah of the prophet pbuh but to actually be there is amazing e.g Badr, Taif and all the rest. I never expected to be taken to experience the life of a Bedouin in the desert and even got treated to a desert drive in the dunes and a barbeque.
Basi was amazing he made sure to be in both Madina and Makkah ahead of our arrival to ensure we had a smooth check in and our stay was smooth. Travel Express organised someone to come and sort out SIM cards for us. I would highly recommend Travel Express to anyone. I am already planning my next umrah. Thank you Travel Express for making this journey an experience an of a life. God bless you all. Ameen.

They have Professional, friendly staff and the trip was well organised. I was dealing with the agent Taha who kept me updated throughout the process/journey.Both hotels in Makkah and Madinah were in close vicinity of the Two Holy Mosques.
We had the privilege of being accompanied by the group leader Sheykh Mahdi. His passion to impart islamic knowledge is incredible. His love for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was very evident when he gave us a guided tour of Masjid Al-Nabawi. Great learning opportunity opportunity. JazakAllah khair Sheykh Mahdi!

Wallahi the best 2 weeks of my life. You get the full experience of wherever you visit. We went to Medina and Makkah, and not only did we visit every major site, we even stopped by spots that are not recognized as religious monuments, where smaller things happened. You get the full history of what went on at every place, with very educated scholars who connect the knowledge to modern day life. It was the perfect balance between fun and worship, and each place we went to is fully up to you on whether you would like to go or stay at the hotel. It made me fall in love with Medina and Makkah at a price that you will not find anywhere else. I’m 18 years old and it encompassed everything I could have asked for in the trip at the lowest price I found. It’s a blast at every age group.

L.I joined an Umrah trip organized by Travel Express and it was the best experience of my life. The group was mostly from the UK except for a couple of us, myself being from the US. The team at Travel Express made my trip so easy, they were responsive and helpful, guiding me and having patience with everything, including the different issues that popped up along the way.
The Umrah trip was incredible, it was more than just visiting the mosques. We took historical tours around both Madinah and Makkah, visiting tens of places, like the Battle of Badr and checking out where Cave Hira is located. Thanks to Shaykh Mahdi who led the trip with Travel Express, I felt like I was taking a journey and learning about my own personal history, not that I was learning from a textbook. The way this trip was organized was not like a group tour but like a family experience. O. S.Alhumdullilah, I had an amazing experience with Hajj and Umrah Express. Throughout the journey, they were constantly in touch, and provided us all the details and the documents required. The best part of the trip was Shaykh Mehdi's company. Alhumdullilah, we were blessed to have him as our group leader and Shaykh. We have learnt so much from him during the 12 days. MashaAllah he is very knowledgeable and always available to answer questions. We learnt a lot on Ziyarah but the Masjid-e-Nabawi tour was a great learning experience. We walked around the masjid and the Shaykh showed us all the significant place where the Sahabas (R.A.) used to live, the wells and the garden of Abu Talha (R.A).
They also look after the group throughout the journey and provide help and assistance to resolve issues.

We retraced and followed the prophets foot path to Makkah where the the healing water well is then visited the battle of Badur field where we watched the sunset over Badur.
We where shown the mountain of the angles...I never ever knew prior! We visited the secret places of Madinah. We shopped at Adnan's place.. We travelled via the new coaches & they were so comfortable we all slept several times on them! We had a lovely balance of education/tourist days and free days!! Which was amazing!!!

The only advice i would give is that there wasn't a lot of communication prior to a few days before the trip, however don't stress, as everything fell into place :)

Allah SWT tested us on this tour and with the guidance of the Sheikh Alhamdulillah everything went smoothly, we completed our Umrah and carried on with our tour.
Sheikh Mehdi took us to place of significance to our prophet Mohammad SWS. Taif bing the first and in Makkah and Badr in Madina and also other locations both in Makkah and Madina.

I just came back from umrah with travel express. It was the first time that I had performed umrah and I have to say alhamdu lillah, alhamdu lillah, alhamdu lillah.
It was a thoroughly enjoyable, humbling and valuable experience.
I met some incredible people within my group especially sheikh Al Mahdi who was the tour guide. Masha allah, barak allah, his knowledge, advise, humour and wisdom was invaluable throughout the journey. There were times when things didn't go according to plan but the sheikh showed great leadership and went above and beyond to make our journey more than memorable.
Sheikh al Mahdi is an asset to travel express and because of him, I would recommend travel express for people interested in making the journey. However, based on my experience I would stress caution and patience because as a tour guide travel express made part of our journey stressful. Overall pretty decent.

May Allah SWT reward the Sheikh for all he has taught us over the past week. This was the first Umrah for me and many in our tour group, and Sheikh Mahdi steered us with clear instructions, and quoted Quran and Hadith every step of the way, Alhamdulillah. My parents have been on Umrah many times (Alhamdulillah) , but have not enjoyed themselves as much as on this occasion as they learnt so much, which can only increase Eeman. We had a few organisational issues, but I will feedback to management offline. When booking with Travel Express, please look for a tour led by Sheikh Mahdi, inshAllah you will return home wanting to learn more. I do advise going to Umrah before Hajj, if you have the means, it will definately orientate you and increase your desire to perform Hajj, inshAllah.

I. K.Alhamdullilah my husband and I have had the opportunity to visit the blessed lands a few times. We wanted to try something different so we booked the Turkey and Umrah Tour. Alhamdullilah we loved the overall experience and so glad we made that choice. Throughout the journey the group leader Shaykh El-Mahdi Abdallah was very friendly, supportive and positive. We specially enjoyed the tour he did at Masjid An-Nabawi in Madinah. His vast knowledge of the Seerah was very enlightening. All his talks were delivered passionately, which left a lasting effect and desire to study our Deen. May Allah swt reward him with best in this life and next. Ameen.
One recommendation for Travel Express administration team would be not to make last minute package changes. We received the itinerary a day before we were traveling which left less time to arrange transport and therefore causing unnecessary stress, that could have easily been avoided. Apart from this Travel Express offers great packages with excellent value for money.
Z. B.It was my first time going for Ummrah. The experience of completing this first Ummrah was once in a lifetime; Sheikh Mahdi is an excellent teacher and guide. He went above and beyond what he needed to do order for us to have a great Ummrah experience. Despite a number of organisational issues; from Travel Express (such as room bookings, and check out date- which are not in the scope of Sheikh's responsibility) Sheikh Mahdi made sure that we kept our focus on the purpose of our visit to Medina and Mecca. The Ummrah experience was made truly memorable due to the support from Sheikh Mahdi.

I went to Istanbul, Madina and Makkah through Travel Express from 16th January to 26th January 2019. 3 stars is an overall rating. What prevented my rating being 4 or 5 stars was mainly due to Travel Express HQ and not my tour leader: Brother Mahdi El Abdalla.
I shall start with some NEGATIVE aspects:
When handling my calls, I felt that staff wanted to get off the phone promptly without giving me assuring answers to my questions
I did not get regular updates on the progress of my booking including my Saudi visa application until relatively very shortly before my actual trip e.g. itinerary was only sent a day before. A lack of communication between my trip being booked and the day of the trip was worrying to my Mother and me.
It was not obvious who I had to meet at Stanstead Airport. My tour leader and fellow group participant were not wearing any Travel Express merchandise or any unifying colour to identify themselves. Malaysian Umrah groups seem to have the right idea as they generally wore something distinguishable.
It was annoying staying on the top floor of Hilton Double Tree in Makkah especially when other people from other floors needed to use the lift as it took relatively long to get downstairs. There were construction works outside my room which did not help me sleep. I had to stay with 2 people in Madina, even though I paid to stay with one person.
Having an Urdu speaking guide on 1 of the days in Istanbul felt alienating and frustrating. Brother Mahdi requested on behalf of himself and me that this guide speak to us is English. I know most of the group spoke Urdu, but my trip was booked with the expectation that English would be spoken since we I am English.
Our time in Madina got cut short by a day which annoyed at least one group member. It was tiring enough to travel between multiple cities by coach and plane, so I also wished my group got to stay 1 more day in Madina with 1 less day in Makkah.
I wanted to end on a good note, so here are some POSITIVE aspects:
The tour leader Mahdi El Abdalla was good for several reasons including, but limit to him being knowledgeable, friendly, upbeat, engaging, caring and treating me and others with dignity.
Brother Mahdi's knowledge about places we visited brought significance to the places we saw. I was not looking at any mountain, I was looking at Mount Thawr where Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Abu Bakr took refuge from the Quraish who were trying to capture them.
If I felt too tired to go on a day trip with the group Brother Mahdi did not pressure me into going. However, if he thought I should join the group he would inform of the religious significance of a place. Also, he allowed a couple to perform Umrah the next day after the main group whilst advising them that they stay in a state of ihram. This couple often held each other's hands, so it might have not been very easy to act on any desires they had for 1 another. I hope Allah rewards their Umrah and chastity.
Brother Mahdi reminded me regularly to say Alhamdulillah when answering the question 'How are you?'. He reasoned that if I'm having troubles Allah would compensate by reducing my sins, but if my life was going well then it is a blessing from Allah which I should be happy with.
Even though I said I could share a room with other 1 person, I got to stay by myself in Istanbul and Makkah. I certainly had enough to eat in each place I stayed. I was impressed with my accommodation. It felt like luxury including the bathroom which is very important to me. There was a free and frequent shuttle bus service to Makkah Haram which help compensate staying on the top floor at Hilton Double Tree.
WhatsApp. Although I would've preferred Telegram, I'm glad there was a forum in which I could send and receive updates. Through WhatsApp, our guide Brother Mahdi told the men in the group where and when we would meet to go Fajr salah together in Istanbul. Without WhatsApp, I may have still been lost in Istanbul.
S. Z.We had an exceptional experience visiting the 3 holy Masjids. Our hearts were filled with joy. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip and we felt that the group members were like our family. We are also very grateful to Sheikh Mehdi who was tremendous helpful with his vast knowledge of our beautiful dean. May Allah rewards him for sharing his knowledge and advising us accordingly.
S. I.Salaams. I am very pleased with all of the arrangements of the March Umrah trip to the 3 holy mosque. Sheikh and the tour guides were very knowledgeable. I learnt alot. Was very inspired with the Sheikh talks. Wish there were more talks by the Sheikh. I liked that the Sheikh intracted with everyone since the Canadians were fewer in numbers on this trip. He made us feel like one family on this trip. I admired his care for the group even though some people did not follow his instructions. I recommend and will travel again with Travel Express. I. A.Hajj & Umrah Express -Sheikh Mehdi in particular- was supportive of us before we embarked on this trip and during it. The organisation of all our travel needs, hotel bookings and local tours were well thought out and ensured our comfort based on circumstances. Lecturers given by the Sheikh were informative and spiritually uplifting and we greatly benefited from them. There was camaraderie amongst the group - who were made up of different ethnicities and ages - Alhamdullilah.
Jerusalem is breathtakingly beautiful and Al Quds is serene and just HAS to be visited. Don't let any fears put you off. Walking through the areas which has centuries of preserved history and religious significance - seems unreal. It was a similar story with Jordan's religious sites: after visiting the Cave of the Sleepers reading Surah Kahf on Friday takes on new meaning. The last leg of the tour was Medina and finally the jewel in the crown Makkah - overall this was a dream come true - Alhamdullilah.
The pro's of the group was Sheikh Mehdi's knowledge and expertise, the generous luggage allowance (of course we had to shop for souvenirs everywhere as well!). The comfortable hotels in Jordan and Saudi.
What could be improved: On the way back flying out from Jeddah instead Medina. Spending less time at designated touristy shops that were frankly too expensive. Also having an extra day to go to Petra if tourists want.
We would definitely go with this group again - and rate the overall experience 9/10.

Allah is the best planner, without his say so, nothing will happen. The trip led by Mahdi Abdalla, more than met our expectations. I truly don't know how he did it all by himself without help, only Allah knows. He was tried and tested on several occasions, felt for him. We didn't expect so much , more than value for our money. Alhamdulillah the service I received was Excellent and honestly there is nothing negative i could write about my experience with this journey.Everything was well organised from the airport pick to the hotel and the accommodation that was provided was outstanding.The hotel in madina was just 2minutes walk to gate 26 and that made it easy to pray all my prayers in the masjid and with that i had a wonderful experience to visit Rawdah 3 times a day on all the 5 days i stayed in madina.
In makkah the hotel was amazing,could see the Haram from my room window.
What can i say or write about this Sheikh.
Sheikh Mahdi was the best,very humble and caring man.The most special act of kindness that this man did was when he came in the que while i was buying Zamzam water at the airport and took out his own money to buy me the Zamzam as i had no local currency left with me.May Allah reward him with good health and make him happy in this world and the hereafter.Ameen

A. K.We went with them for Hajj in 2019 and had booked the double premium package. I am pleased to say they delivered every step of the way, however, there were a few operational issues in KSA which were out of their control e.g. Hajj ministry and etc. Our religious guide was Dr. Khalid Khan and in retrospect, we were extremely lucky to have him with us, as his lectures and durus were very balanced and helpful.
The group leaders were very helpful throughout the journey and I'd give them full marks in mannerisms.
They often went out of their way to arrange transport and meals for us even when they were not part of the original package (e.g. our Aziza half board was converted to full board with no additional cost..happy days!)
Definitely, recommend them to others, may Allah accept all our prayers and Ibada.

The following are my sincere recommendations post February 2019 Umrah. But first, I would like to thank Sheikh Mahdi (our Leader) for his knowledgeable guidance. I will always patronize and recommend friends and family to Travel Express with Sheikh as Leader (which I have done for April Aqsa/Umrah).
However, a few things need to be looked into and changed to give confidence to first-timer Mutamers. 1) The office should ensure all Mutamers have all they would need when giving out passports,i.e. bag, ID tag, Ihram dress, Guide to Umrah booklet (not all the February Group had everything stated in the information paper given to us. 2) Leader of the group should be at the starting point Airport (London) with a list of all Mutamers and check everybody at the waiting hall after immigration before boarding the plane. Information package given from the office should include Mutamers wearing their ID tag at the Airport for easy identification by the Leader. 3) When booking, arrangement should be made to sit all Mutamers together around the same area in the plane. 4) At arrival, Mutamers should not have to be looking for a Contact (SAPTCO Counter) or driver, rather the Leader should be there to sort things out. 5) For the benefit of first-timer Mutamers in particular, Tawaf, Safa and Marwah should be performed together with the Leader.
6) Lastly, Islamic seminars should take place on at least one of the “free days” in both Madinah and Makkah where Mutamers can ask questions/clarifications on issues unclear to them.
May Allah (SWT) guide us, forgive our shortcomings and accept our Umrah as act of Ibadat ameen.

R. L.Went wih Imam Surti for Umra with the December Group. Totally enjoyable. The hotels were just great , amazing breakfast. Imam Surti was supportive, friendly and accessible at anytime via social media. I would recommend Hajj and Umrah Express anytime.

m. h.Decent 3 masjid tour with high and lows. Amazing sites and the spiritual element is beyond words. The downsides were that there was a bit too much mixing of non mahrams and group members taking and sharing pictures of others without permission.
