So great to not got on the tube! Great views of the canal and surrounding houses. The guys on the boat were so lovely. Great tour guide - very funny. Really enjoyed the trip.
S. K.
A great little boat where you can learn about the history of the regents canal. Pick it up at little venice and head down to Camden. Pleanty to do and see at both ends. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable too. A great way to see a few hidden parts of London.
k. p.
Brilliant way to go to Camden . You go through places you would never see otherwise , and they tell you about the places that you are going through too 😁
W. A.
I absolutely loved this little trip down the canal! The commentary was very interesting and the lady in charge was really lovely. She made the trip as she was friendly, accommodating and made us laugh! Lots of advice on places to visit and very welcoming. A really relaxing way to travel.
C. H.
Having travelled to London for a weekend of being tourists, it was lovely to do something different. The London waterbus from Camden Market through to Little Venice with a top notch commentary, is definitely something everyone should do!
K. H.
What an unexpected treat!
We needed to go to Maida Vale to seek out my grandfathers old house and place of birth. So we realised this canal trip was just around the corner and decided to give it a go, and travelled from Camden to Little Venice. We hadn't expected commentary on the journey, so what a fantastic surprise that just added to the experience. This made us appreciate Maida Vale even more, as we hadn't appreciated it being an area of such history and our lovely guide shared a wealth of local interest/history sprinkled with a bit of local gossip! And who lives in which house etc along the way. Great fun, very relaxing and we are definitely coming back! Thank you!

We travelled at 11 a.m. on a Sunday morning. The 2 girls running the trip allowed us on early. It was quiet and we had our choice of seats. Plenty of open windows for ventilation. I was amazed that for the bargain price we also were provided with a tour guide - so much information as we sailed along. Lovely views and a fabulous way to spend a Sunday morning.
B. W.
Beautiful trip. Lovely guide very informative. I would highly recommend. Especially early in the day as Camden market got very busy later on.
A. W.
Really enjoyed this boat tour from Camden Lock to Little Italy. The narration was interesting and well informed.
L.
Lovely journey, the commentary was done by Felix, who was very informative and very helpful. Well worth the money, would definitely go again
N. D.
Such a great trip. It was very informative and the kids enjoyed it just as much as the adults.
K. D.
Nice new experience. If you want something different that use public transport in London, the Waterbus is perfect for nice relaxing journey to Camden. Reasonable price for tickets and easy to book online . We, actually, booked on the pier 20 minutes before journey. Staff friendly and gave some information about surroundings during the journey. We enjoyed it.
S.
Lovely little cruise from Little Venice to Camden. Plenty of local knowledge by the guides and they couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. Highly recommend for adults and kids. They even gave my niece some food for th ducks as she is a proper little twicher! 10/10 to see another part of London and then an afternoon in Camden, couldn't recommend it more! Thanks for a a great trip!
T. A.
A very calm and relaxing tour between Camden and Little Venice - our tour guide was entertaining and informative throughout the 45 minute trip! This beautiful stretch of canal showcases a lot of history, impressive houses, and even passes through a section of the London zoo!
The company has made the experience very safe for travellers, with staff wearing visors, hand sanitiser available, and customers very sufficiently spaced on the boat. The limited numbers and resulting space probably make the experience even more pleasant than normal, with no problems of an overcrowded and sweaty boat!
Well worth the ticket price and a lovely start to an evening out :)
M. C. S.
We booked a one way trip for the 5 of us from Little Venice to Camden. Andrew the skipper was very thoughtful and kindly showed our 3 boys the engine and controls for the waterbus before we left Little Vencie. Freya gave us a great guide of the canal, properties along the canal as well as the history of the canal. We thought it was really good value and would recommend. 🙂
P. W.
Great fun, travelling with two adults and two children. Fun commentary. We went one way, from Camden to Little Venice, and had a good meal in the Bridge House five mins walk away.
D. T.
Highly recommended. Great experience, my wife and I loved the view while learning interesting facts about the canal and surrounding area. Our guide was both knowledgeable and funny, mixing historical context with gossip (which celebrity lives in each house).
As a Londoner, I've enjoyed exploring the city from a different perspective in a relaxed environment. And for a fair price. Thanks again to the lovely London Waterbus Company crew 😊👋👋👋 see you again soon.
R.
Lovely trip but a little chilly in the winter so wrap up. Nice scenery and interesting facts given by the lady speaking. Really enjoyed this.
M. C.
Was a lovely experience. Definitely will be looking to do this experience again in the warmer weather. Took my little ones and they enjoyed it. The staff were so polite and lovely
N. E.
Had a great tour from Camden to Little Venice with my daughter - our guide was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Great value for money and a lovely afternoon out. Would recommend and definitely use again.
J. V.
Tour gives a totally different and intriguing view from the water of (this part of) London. The guide, Felix, was enthousiast and gave lots of interesting (and sometimes funny, trivial) information.
C. W.
I had a lovely trip from Little Venice to Camden yesterday and will bring along friends and family, when they come to visit me in London, to do the same trip. Really informative commentary. Thank you :-)
D. B.
The tour back to little Venice was very informative and fun would recommend to anyone
J. V.
A great day at the Camden Market topped with a boat ride from the market to Little Venice. It was so lovely. Good service. Highly recommended.
N. G.
A very enjoyable and relaxing trip. I thought their commentary could have been more informative and their seats more comfortable I would recommend it.
J. W.
Lovely trip with Nicky as host today. She provided lots of interesting facts throughout the journey and it was lovely to see her feeding the ducks as we went along. Arrived at the destination feeling relaxed and happy. What a nice way to spend 45 minutes.
A. R.
Fantastic and informative trip. Very professionally run, will definitely be using again in the future. Thanks to all involved
D. T.
Really enjoyed the cruise yesterday. Very informative and was super easy to book online.
C.
Very lovely boat trip, well recommended.
p. n.
Loved the trip but the commentary was muffled at best and difficult to catch. Journey is well worth taking, boat was clean and uncrowded and crew were friendly. I would go again and recommend.
S. P.
I could not recommend this enough especially for the price that I paid. 100% worth it!! Nicky (sorry if I spelt this wrong) was a brilliant host! She was so welcoming and polite! Ensure all passengers were the most comfortable they could be throughout the journey. She made me and my mother laugh with some of the jokes and went above and beyond by recommending us places to visit afterwards. Anything that we wanted to know, she was happy to answer so felt like the trip was personalised to all of us. It was a very insightful trip with beautiful scenery as this route took us pass the London zoo and places that cannot be seen from the front. Won’t spoil too much so if you want to know then you better get booking! I’d recommend going from Little Venice to Camden as the drop off point is in the centre of all the food spot, and about a 20 minutes walk from Primrose Hill (one of Nicky’s recommendation) where you can see all of London.
J. W.
Enjoyed the trip from Little Venice to Camden, very friendly and informative guide would definitely recommend
B. S.
There were five of us, needing to get back to Paddington from Camden Market by the most relaxing and most leisurely way possible. We boarded the Waterbus on spec, following Covid guidelines. It was a lovely journey back in the afternoon sun , chugging along enjoying a different view from the Canal as to the one from the towpath. Brilliant witty commentary from the lady host. Very enjoyable and refreshing and highly recommended by us five
H. B.
Lovely crew. Learnt a lot in those 45 minutes down the canal. Great on the sunny day we went but sheltered too if it did rain! I want to go again!
G. P.
Nice leisurely trip from Westminster to Kew. Excellent commentary on the trip done with humour. Lots of skills from the crew who are Thames waterman who have to do a five year apprenticeship to navigate the Thames
J. K.
Very attractive route along Regent's Canal. Between Little Venice and Camden Docks; stopping at London Zoo on the way.
J. T.
An absolute pleasure! The captain and his mate were incredibly kind and accommodating to my wife, our two-year and to me. Our daughter continued for hours to remark on our beautiful journey along the Grand Canal. Thanks for the lovely memory gents.
D. H.
I took my date on the 45 minute "Camden Lock to Little Venice" boat trip and it was absolutely glorious.
You embark at Camden Lock and the incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and helpful crew give you (and the other passengers - spaced apart for social distancing) a guided tour of the scenery and properties along the canal.
For just £12.50 a ticket this is amazing value and well worth doing on a hot sunny day.
10/10 Highly recommended
D. G.
Had a great tour from Camden to Little Venice - our guide Nicky was so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. Great value for money and a lovely afternoon out.
N. F.
This is a great way to let your legs have a break and find your sealegs.
A relaxing canal trip between Little Venice and Camden Lock (it goes the other way too!). 45 minutes to watch and take in the surroundings.
There's commentary too which is a bonus as wasn't expecting it.
Plenty of photo opportunities and you may even see the only swans on that stretch of the canal.
All aboard for a safe and pleasant journey along a once very busy canal!
F. Z.
Very nice trip from Camden Lock to Little Venice. Nicki was giving all the commentary, and we had an experienced boat pilot. I also personally thankful to Mr Ben (he promptly adjusted our bookings).
Overall wonderful experience. Highly recommended trip.

Lovely trip along the canal from Camden market to little Venice. Very informative and lots to see along the way.
A. G.
Really enjoyed the canal ride trip from Camden Lock to Little Venice and back again on Saturday afternoon.
The experience was Covid safe for travellers, with staff wearing visors, hand sanitiser available.
Thank you for a great trip guys!
R. T.
Me and friends recently took the tour from Camden to little Venice. Absolutely loved it great value for money and the canal is so relaxing the tour was very interesting and insightful.
P. R.
Such a relaxing boat ride with stunning views!! Would have preferred it with no commentary and just silence but still appreciated the funny historical facts given! 100% would recommend!!
P. B.
You have to see this boat trip for what it is. A relaxing ride down the river from Camden. Yes you could walk, but who would want to if you could relax on a boat. You know what your doing when you get on board so I can't understand people who say they could have walked.
I found the river boat unexpectedly, I was working as a photographer in London last weekend and it made a very welcome break plus I got some nice pictures I could have only got on the boat. I have to say it was brilliant and a very enjoyable experience. Especially after walking round all day. The staff were very helpful and the commentary on route was an unexpected surprise and very interesting.
I was also impressed with the attitude to safety at all times on the journey. I will definitely do this again the other way from Paddington when I want a ride to relax. Well done guys. See you in August for another trip :).
A. H.
Lovely trip from Camden to Little Venice
G. M.
Great family day out and excellent value for money. The staff were very friendly. Good tour with interesting facts.
Handling very well with current COVID restrictions.
M. H.
Absolutely brilliant way of seeing a different side of London, thing you didn't know even existed. Then end up in the heart of vibrant Camden lock and market.
L. N.
Pleasant trip along the canal from Camden to Warwick Avenue. Interesting commentary. Departed promptly. All social distancing observed. Would travel again. Thank you.
K. G.
Well worth the time. A relaxing and informative journey along the restful canal setting.
L. B.
Really enjoyed our canal ride on Thursday afternoon. It was the perfect time as it wasn't very busy and weather was glorious golden hour. Staff were friendly and gave a fun and informative commentary which left enough space for us to just relax and enjoy the surroundings. Thank you for a great trip guys!
J. R.
Lovely old converted working narrow boats take you on a relaxed and leisurely trip up Regent's canal. Start from Camden lock and marvel at the shops and famous market there before the boat takes you to London Zoo (which is where we went) or on to Little Venice. The staff are friendly and able, and there's an amusing commentary too. It's good, try it!
m. h.
A great little trip only marred by our guide speaking a little too quickly to pick up on the plethora of info he provided
A. B.
Excellent boat tour on Regent canal ending at Camden. The guides are friendly and informative. You can have a party of friends with drinks on board.
d. h.
Very good leisurely trip from Camden to little venice, would reccomend, though booking online means check well in advance.
J. S.
Great leisurely cruise along the canel. On board commentary was great as it gave you a history of the area.Staff helpful and polite. Would recommend.
O. B.
I don't understand the negative reviews. Most of them seem to be about the staff, or the fact that it wasn't a 'sight seeing' trip. Well I can happily say that the staff we encountered were friendly to us from the moment we queued up to get on at Camden to the moment we got off and waved goodbye at Little Venice.
As for the sight seeing part, for £10 I didn't expect any sort of commentary but the gentleman steering the boat gave us a running commentary on all everything we encountered along the way. He was funny, charming and knowledgable and even got everyone involved in a sing-song.
My one gripe was how small and squashed in we were. It was quite uncomfortable for me and my husband to sit side by side, and I was happy when someone got off at London Zoo as I then moved into my own seat. However, this is all part of the experience. You are on a canal boat after all, and for the price you cannot fault it.
If it's going to be a sunny day, get to Camden in the morning and then as the crowds start getting too much, jump on this vessel and enjoy the journey!
A. H.
We took the 1215 ride today, its best to book tickets online to avoid disappointment. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the boatman gave running commentary explaining the significance of buildings and bridges we passed which was interesting. He was also very entertaining and made the ride a pleasure, I would recommend this for a different kind of experience.
I. F.
Beautiful area and lovely customer service. Will definitely come back!
A. S.
Loved every bit of it. Not just the views but the history guide too. I loved it and you will too. It’s super unique
F. B.

P. J.
Entertaining, informative and relaxing way to travel from Camden back to Paddington.
R. P.
Leisurely paced barge ride. My children, friends and I took the barge from Little Venice to Camden Lock. Its relaxing and the crew provide an interesting and historic commentary of life on the canals. I am going to go back and reverse the trip in the future.
M. G.
Despite being slightly overcast weather we really enjoyed the boat ride today. Connecting two interesting areas, the commentary was really funny and topical too. Would recommend for both tourists and locals.
E. A.
First time having a trip on a canal boat, the commentary was brilliant very educational and would definitely come back
L. E.
Took a boat from little Venice to Camden Lock and I'm so happy I took it. It's a very relaxing ride and you get told of the history of the places as you are going past. Would go on it again.
T. W.
Nice enough trip with interesting start and end points. Canal itself is less impressive that I'd imagine but still worth a trip
J.
Enjoyable ride and amusing commentary. A great and unique way to see the stretch of canal between Camden and Little Venice.
B. R.
Very enjoyable trip to Camden Lock and would definitely do again
G. B.
London is a busy city. That is great, but sometimes you might look for a quiet distraction from the stressful city life. A good way to discover calm places is to explore London's canals and parks. The London Waterbus from Little Venice to Camden Lock provides a great opportunity to connect both, canals and parks. Admittedly, it is not the quickest mode of transport and depending on the other passengers on your boat, not the quietest either, but it definitely provides a different view of London. And you can get off at London Zoo and walk around in Regent's Park.
You cannot use your Oyster card for boarding and in my opinion, it's a bit expensive and slow for a regular ride, but if you want to show visitors a different side of London, a trip with the London Waterbus might be a good idea.
J. A.
Brilliant canal boat ride, would recommend it to everyone.
K. F.
Had a quick weekend in London the trip from little Venice to Camden was fantastic, lots of information from the guilds.
C. B.
Brilliant tour of Regents Canal - very knowledgeable staff.
T. G.
A bit pricey i feel, especially as you can walk the entire length of the route at the sam speed. Although if you want to experience beeing on a narrowboat and want to take the weight of your feet its a nice way to spend a couple of hours...
C. M.
Some people have had a few problems with this tour by the look of the Google reviews. We had no problems at all. Staff were pleasant enough and were all in all rather helpful. Only one point i would raise is the intercom is a little bit old and keeps cutting out. Might be time for a replacement........
S. J.
If you're in Camden then the boat trip is definitely worth taking! There's plenty to see on the route and the views at the end at Little Venice are great!
A. R.
Very enjoyable trip, well run service, and interesting destinations at either end.
S. S.
As a londoner who lives along a canal i must admit i didn't expect to learn anything new. How wrong i was! Alexs commentary was informative and very funny, hed really done his homework! A lovely trip on a very hot day, really good value for money thank you
M. J.
A slow way to get to Little Venice. Watch the bird wildlife. Wave to other boaters. Not the most comfortable way to travel on this 1970's transport, but still a pleasant experience.
V. J.
Barging through London is a bit special. Friendly crew as well
W. R.
Real hidden gem of London! Lovely people and amusing knowledgeable commentary from Andrew. Golden tip: book online on the day to ensure availability. We did and it was easy!
A. T. F.
A nice experience traveling from London Zoo and arriving in busy Camden Lock. Great way to leave the Zoo and get to see some different parts of the city.
S. Q.
the boat ride was nothing special and the speaker system was not very clear.
the things they were talking about were just building and nothing special
y. y.
Cute idea but quite disappointing. Nothing major to see apart from tiny boats here and there. I would have given 2* if it wasn't that the staff was very friendly and funny making it a bit more interesting.
D. R.
Great experience would definitely recommend going on the boat trip! The customer service was absolutely brilliant too! I honestly could not have asked for anything more
M. S.
Brilliant waterbus, not so good sightseeing tour. Pre recorded snippets of information which only last half the journey. However the excellent views and heritage makes it up
R. H.

Camden Lock is a buzzing area with great range of diverse street food traders and independent stores next to the tranquil Regent's Canal. London Waterbus leisurely narrowboat moores right next to the Hampstead Road Locks and buzzing West Yard of the Camden Market. A footbridge over the Regent's Canal links the West Yard with Ice Wharf! West Yard is full of independent street food vendors selling all kinds of local & World Food. Camden Market is open 10am till 6pm 7 days a week. Simply, you can grab your meal and board the London Waterbus - it is that close!
One of the key attractions of the trip is the live very informative commentary by the tour guide. 45 minutes worth of journey will give you much more historic information about the heritages, structures and places along the banks of the Regent's Canal! The tour guides are really cheerful, friendly and with full of enthusiasm about the area and its' history! It can be classed as history class ☺
Travelling along the picturesque Regent's Canal on a long narrow leisure boat with slide-to-open windows in both sides is absolutely an amazing experience - and then mix this with live light-hearted but informative commentary about the iconic canalside heritages including Maida Hill Tunnel, London Zoo, Regent's Park, Regent's Park Mosque, Mansions, New exhibition under-construction Monkey Valley..............
Waterbus runs one way in either direction from Little Venice Mooring to historic world-renowned Camden Market! The journey takes around 45 minutes The boat is very clean and in good condition! Staff cleans the boat after each journey! All Staff are very cheerful mixed with their own personal charm!
If you want return trip - you need to choose both ways separately but can be purchased at the same checkout! Booking is essential to avoid disappointment! Walk-Ins are allowed only if there are spaces available!
Little Venice:
Waterbus Boats are moored at Browning's Pool, Little Venice. Little Venice is a silver-lining sparkling expanse of waterways confluence point of the Regent's Canal and the Grand Junction Canal's Paddington Arm. It is an oasis of tranquility and place of outstanding beauty - complete with Waterside Cafe on a boat, Barge Theatre on a boat, Browning's Island in the middle creating a roundabout effect! Browning's Pool is full of wildfowl - watch them & observe them playing, swimming and flying - time will fly........
Brief Story of Regent's Canal:
In 1812, The Regent's Canal was planned & built to create a link between the Grand Junction Canal's Paddington Arm (now known as Little Venice) to the River Thames at Limehouse Basin. Once opened for business, the Regent's Canal became one of the most successful canal routes, together with the Grand Junction Canal and the associated routes to the Midlands and north, carrying huge quantities of timber, coal, building materials and foodstuffs into and out of London.

(Translated) Very nice walk on the Regent's canal, very pleasant. A great way to get to Camden for a very affordable price. The ballad is commented throughout what allows to learn a lot of things.

Très belle ballade sur le Regent's canal, très agréable. Une très bonne manière d'aller à Camden pour un prix très abordable. La ballade est commentée tout le long ce qui permet d'apprendre plein de choses.

(Translated) Visited in December 2019. We enjoyed a little less than an hour cruise from Little Venice to Camden Lock.
It is a tour that used to take a small boat through a canal where a barge was drawn by a horse. Reservations can be made online.
You can relax and enjoy the scenery and atmosphere without excessive announcements. This is my third time in London, but it was the best part of this visit to London.
It is recommended.

(Translated) Enjoyable water ride and good way to get to Camden. We paid £ 9 for a one way ticket. Explanations along the way and pleasant staff. Too bad the location of the tail (start and end) is not more explicit! The benches (for 2 people) are also a bit fair and small (more for 1 person if not uncomfortable).

(Translated) Very nice walk. £ 9 for a one-way ticket. My advice from Litel Venice to finish in Camden. It is true that it is a bit long 50 minutes, but it feels good to be green in this city which moves all the time .. On arrival we have a bite to eat and we are ready for shopping ....
(Original)

(Translated) The London Waterbus company connects Camden Town to Little Venice, about fourteen kilometers away, with vaporetti, using the Regent's canal; the barges called London Waterbus have large windows, so you can appreciate the beautiful panorama; the service is active from the first weekend of April until the first weekend of November from 10 am to 4 pm; thanks to the sidewalks you can also walk along the canal.

(Translated) in fact there is nothing to see, the place of departure is nice that of the arrival too but in the meantime you will not see anything except the concrete walls tagged The ticket is taken directly on the boat payment by credit card
And you can barely see the perspective of the water except for the first places in the front
(Original)

(Translated) Anyone visiting London (actually England) should ride a water canal. It's really worth it. Everything from the water looks different than from the land, so the streets and rear tracts of houses (palaces) with gardens leading to the water are worth seeing.
