Another amazing trip with Seable!! This time we went to Iceland in December ❄⛄was such a beautiful place and great experience that I wouldn't of had otherwise. So a big thanks to Seable for making things possible! :)

We used Seable for a ski trip to Italy in December. Damiano and Emma were fantastic! They immediately struck up a good rapport with the students anticipating their needs and inspiring confidence when needed. They liaised with hotel staff and instructors so language wasn't a problem. Best of all, they were fun to be with! We hope to holiday with you again soon!

We had a fantastic time on our first visit to Sicily with Seable. My husband is a paraplegic and getting around parts of Europe can be challenging. The agent with Seable asked what our interests were in planning our itinerary and we were not disappointed. We saw different parts of the country from coast to city to Etna and vineyards. The places we were taken for food were fantastic. I love exploring different cuisine and enjoyed some of the best food I’ve ever eaten on a vacation.
Our guide Francesco always looked out for our best interests wherever we went, what we did, and accessibility. He helped with the wheelchair where needed and also with the language barrier.
At the end of the week we decided that there is no way we could have gotten around the way we did or visited the places we did without Francesco and we would likely have gotten so frustrated trying we would not have enjoyed ourselves. When it was all said and done, with the services we enjoyed and our guide, it was one of the best trips we’ve taken. We felt like we had the inside track to Catania. I would definitely look to Seable in the future for travel to any place where they offered services, no question.

VICTA recently took a group of blind and partially sighted young people to Sicily with Seable - here are some of their comments:
"Thanks to Seable I feel that I truly experienced Sicily. Every activity we did was made accessible without being made into a big production. The staff were brilliant; giving us the freedom to be independent but always available if help was needed. I particularly enjoyed the scuba-diving and the trip up Mount Etna; things many people wouldn't believe possible for a person with a visual impairment. I would definitely recommend Seable to a friend and hope to use them again in the future."
"...I will definably be recommending Seable to others and will be hoping to get another Seable Holiday experience myself ever with sighted friends or maybe family."
"I feel the Sicily trip was fantastic. The trip was well organised with varied activities and the group was fun, laid back and friendly. The trips were so varied that we did activities of all kinds, sporting activities, cultural and educational activities and more laid back activities."

The Seable team are amazing and very understanding, they knew the best places to take us in Sicily. A few activities we did such as; scuba diving, walking up Mount Etna, honey tasting, olive oil making and visting an organic farm, were only some of the brilliant experiences but it didn't stop there, there was always something we would be doing so there was never a dull moment.
The team really do go the extra mile to help you in whatever way you need and are always there for a friendly chat if you need to.
Can't wait for the next trip!!

The week I spent away in Sicily at the nd of June with Seable (in association with VICTA) was an absolutely amazing experience. it was very well organised and showcased all that Sicily has to offer, both in terms of the activities and the food and drink. From the visit to the tactile museum and the visit to the Norman castle, to the trip up Etna to the wine tasting and desert tasting sessions, all activities kept everyone interested and were excellent experiences. The Seable staff were very friendly and always willing offer help and guidance whilst having fun with the group as well (including singing along to cheesy pop songs on the journeys between destinations). This is the 3rd Seable holiday I've been on and they remain at a consistently high quality level.

My trip to Sicily was awesome! We did a lot of nice excursions, for exemple Mount Etna, which i thought very impressive. We stayed in nice appartments close to the beach, so we spend a lot of time on the beach and in the sea, where we also tried windsurfing and canoing. The Seable guiding was very good, they knew a lot about the city and suggested nice places to eat. The food and the wine were very tasty. The Sicilians use a lot of local products to make things like olive oil, pesto, honey, and ice cream. Everything was so tasty and special. I am glad that Seable made this holiday possible for me and my friends and I would recommend Seable to every blind or visually impaired person who likes to experience new things.

Just recently I went to Thailand with Seable and It was the best holiday/ trip I have ever been on. I was nervous about doing the trip in terms of what I was going to experience with my visual impairment but I needn’t have worried Seable were fantastic. Both in terms of planning and help whilst on the trip Damiano was brilliant. On the trip I was able to relax in the knowledge that I wouldn’t have worry about anything and that I would have a great time. I can’t wait to go away with them again wherever it may be.

I've had a fantastic experience with Seable in Sicily. Me and my friends went windsurfing and canoeing and we did a lot of local tasting sessions. Even though you know that the Italian kitchen is good, the Sicilian kitchen still has much more great food and drinks to offer. The people we've met were all very nice and especially Francesco and the others from seable who knew all the best places to eat and drink. The room was also very good. It had airconditioning and it was close to the sea wich was very useful since it was hot there. Granita, the local ice-cream, also managed to help fighting against the heat. But my best experience was the trip to mount etna. I just can't compare it with anything else. I will never forget this holiday.

Seable and Damiano made it possible to take my visually and hearing impaired elderly father on holiday this year. I could not have done this on my own. They made every effort to make sure we were comfortable and happy. The tour guide Francesco was so helpful with dad and with everything from finding a spa for dad to translating menus. I can't recommend them highly enough!! Loved Sicily and we will definitely be traveling with Seable again next year.

I have just returned from a week’s action-packed, fun-filled holiday in sizzling, sensational Sicily. This activity holiday was organised by Metro Blind Sports in conjunction with Seable, and we were a party of 15 with varying degrees of visual impairment. Damiano and his team paid great attention to detail in planning and implementing a very varied itinerary, to ensure we all gained maximum benefit from the excursions and activities arranged for us. These included trying out a number of new water sports, such as wind surfing, paddle boarding, cave swimming in the sea as part of a speed boat trip and SCUBA diving. Other activities included tasting delicious Italian icecream and desserts, wine tasting and a touch, sense and taste experience at an organic farm – and not to forget our memorable day at snowy Mount Etna. Damiano and his team had a very positive outlook and inclusive approach, which enabled us all to have a wonderful time and to get the most out of the prepared itinerary. I would thoroughly recommend future Seable holidays to other visually impaired travellers and I would like to thank Seable staff, (Damiano, Francesco, Carla and Emma), for making our trip to Sicily such a great success.

I have just returned from my third trip with Seable. Previously, I have been to Sicily and Iceland, this time I was lucky enough to experience the fabulous city of Rome. Together with our outstanding tour guide Laura, Damiano and Seable arranged a very enjoyable break with a wide range of activities. From visiting the Vatican City, to making gnochi in a cooking class, visiting organic farms, a local beach and lake, alongside going to the usual tourist attractions, we fitted a huge amount into a relatively short space of time. I very much look forward to visiting Rome again in the future, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Rome to those affected by sight loss — contrary to popular belief, there are so many activities which aren't visual in nature and therefore can be enjoyed by sighted, VI and blind holiday-makers alike. I found the process with seable to be simple, from booking to arrival in my home city — being busy and having very little time to devote to planning a holiday, I really appreciated this. It simply remains for me to thank Damiano and Laura most sincerely for a great break and I very much look forward to traveling with Seable again in the near future!

Less than I year after graduating from university, I could only afford one great holiday. When I saw the itinerary and opportunity to travel to Thailand, operated by Seable, and facilitated by the great charity that is VICTA,, I knew this was the trip meant for me. And I was not disappointed!
Never have I enjoyed such an active holiday, feeling truly like I discovered the real country, and one where I could completely forget about my disability and enjoy the true pleasures of travel that so many people rave about.
I want to keep on travelling, and I know Seable can be a partner and provider in helping me discover and enjoy the world.
Bravo, and I'll be back! X

We took a group of blind and partially sighted young people to Slovenia with Seable and had a brilliant time! Going with Seable removes a lot of the stress and pressure involved in organising a group holiday. Damiano and the team arranged everything including hotels, restaurants, transfers and brilliant activities. This meant we had more time to spend supporting our young people. We all agree it was a fantastic trip!

My charity, Berkshire Vision, recently took a group of blind and partially sighted members to Sicily. I wont lie - I was a little worried at the thought of being responsible for so many people far from home but I needn't have worried. We couldn't have asked for better - from the wonderful assistance at Reading, Station and Gatwick and Catania Airport to the care and attention paid to us by Damiano, Francesco and everyone we met. The food, sight seeing - especially Mount Etna - and scuba diving were unforgettable. Everything worked like clockwork, nothing was too too trouble for our hosts and everyone had a fantastic time. Several of our members had never been abroad before and were understandably nervous to begin with but soon got into the swing of La Dolce Vita. The only complaints I heard were that we had packed too much food, culture and history into our 5 days, and Harry didn't like the waiter who refused to serve him red wine with this fish platter. All in all, we were thoroughly spoiled and can't recommend Seable highly enough. In fact, everyone is now saving up for our next Seable trip to Slovenia.

I'm a C5 quadriplegic that uses a motorized wheelchair, and with the help of the people at Seable, my wife and I were able to travel to Agrigento, Sicily and meet my Sicilian relatives for the first time. Seable provided me with an accessible van and driver to get me around, as well as an interpreter because I don't speak Italian. Friendly and professional, they saw to it that we had an awesome time in Sicily. None of it would've been possible without the help of Seable. I would use their services again, and I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who needs services for the disabled while traveling in Sicily.

Amazing experience in Sicily. Some unique activities you wouldn't find on a generic holiday package. As well as really friendly staff who have grown up in Sicily, which allows them to give great info on the best places to eat and some knowledge on local history / sights you may want to see.

I would say, that traveling with Seable was the best decision I have made All activities were well organized. Our guide Francesco was always there when I need him, he was a very funny and patient guy. I never believed, that I will do windsurfing or go on a vulcano one they. That was definatly not my last time traveling with Seable :)

last April, I had the enormous pleasure of going to Sicily (specifically Catania), through Seable with a group of friends. To say that it was one of the best ever holidays is perhaps an understatement. Our seable guide Francesco was exceptionally organised, incredibly personable and extremely fun to be around. The weather was glorious and our itinerary (entirely of our own creation), both full and fulfilling. Highlights included:
• luxuriating on the warm sands;
• windsurfing;
• long walks to the sound of the sea and the smell of Zagara (orange blossom) after equally long Mediterranean meals;
• a tactile museum featuring 3 d versions of the Mona Lisa and mini replicas of the Blue Mosque and the colosseum;
• a heavenly dessert tasting session replete with renowned pistachios from Bronte and the famous Sicilian delicacy a lemony ricotta cheesecake;
• an unholy amount of gelati ranging from the fabled sette veli (a chocolate lover’s paradise) to the subtle but no less exquisite amarena or cherry;
• a lunch to die for at an organic farm; and
• of course the majesty and intrigue of Etna as experienced first-hand.
What made Sicily special was not just its many highlights but the way in which those highlights were organised. Our group, made up of mostly VI travellers, felt as though we were in control of what we did. Our likes and dislikes were catered for in a non-intrusive manner, with great attention to detail and at a reasonable price. All in all, we had a spectacularly successful and memorable holiday, thanks to Damiano and his team. We remain grateful to them for the love and care that they exhibited throughout and look forward to another adventure with them soon.

In December, VICTA travelled to Iceland with Seable holidays. VICTA have travelled with Seable many times, and personally this was the second time I have led groups of visually impaired young people internationally with Seable. Our time in Iceland was exceptional. The itinerary that Seable staff put together showcased the best that Iceland had to offer. Sights included the glacial lagoon, blue lagoon, geysers, waterfalls, volcanos and more. Seable holidays are excellent at understanding the needs of a visually impaired group, and are approachable, helpful and friendly. Organising a group trip with Seable takes out a lot of the stress, and enables VICTA staff to spend more time and energy supporting and befriending our young people on the trip.

From the welcome in the reception at the airport to the fond farewell at the when we departed from Catania, the whole time is full of memories of help being given to maximise the enjoyment of a well organised, friendly and caring holiday.
Our time in Scicily exceeded all our expectations, we had all the help we needed and the team went out of their way to make sure we had all the support we needed. Our companion Francesco took us to some wonderful places and his local knowledge was invaluable. We can’t thank you enough, well done Seable, we will of course spread the word.
These were the words my father wrote on return from his holiday with my mother in Sicily. My mother has Alzheimers and my father needed help with her in order for them both to have a fulfilling holiday - thank you Damiano and Francesco for making one of their last holidays together so memorable.

I recently took part in a once in a lifetime trip away to Thailand with seable and Victa. Overall the trip was incredibly well organised and accessible to meet the needs of every individual in the group.
We learnt lots about the culture in Thailand from Buddhism to music to new and exotic foods.
All staff were extremely helpful and really made the trip stress free. Every day we did something new and if we had suggestions on what we wanted to do that was always taking into consideration to make the trip as fulfilled as we wanted it to be.
I would highly recommend seable trips to others as being visually impaired I find travel to be quite stressful so with the help from seable and victa i have travelled to places I never thought I would ever go to.

Dear Damiano and the team,
Thank you for such a wonderful experience and everything that you have done for all of us while we were in Sicily. It is because of you that I tried so many new things. Your support, encouragement and humour in various activities has helped to make this one of the best weeks in my entire life. You have worked SO hard to ensure that everyone had not only a good time and learned about Sicily, its culture and history, but also tried something new. What you do is amazing. Keep it up. You are spreading so much joy and encouragement and I hope that your company will continue to grow. Hopefully see you again soon!
Best Wishes,
Olga

I went on a one week trip to Iceland in December 2016 organised by Seable and Victa.
I had a chance to experience a wide range of activities that I thought that I would never get the chance to. I really enjoyed all the activities that Seable and Victa organised. If I had to pick one it would be the Blue Lagoon which was brilliant and like nothing I have experienced before.
The Seable and Victa staff were all really good to be around and made it a really enjoyable experience, along with the rest of the group who were all really friendly.
Overall, the whole experience was amazing and I can't honestly think of anything that I would change. I would do it all again if I could.
Thank you Seable and Victa for the amazing experience.

I've just come back from Sicily , on a holiday with Berkshire Vision.
We took 6 blind or visually impaired people.
The 2 SEABLE members, Damiano and Francesco were brilliant. They were attentive, organised and nothing was too much trouble.
They organised, scuba diving, windsurfing , canoeing and sea swimming + a trip to mount Etna.
They have many good contacts, having grown up in sicily.
They arranged cheese and meat tasting at the market in catania, ice cream and cake tasting at DU'CI. A visit to a bee keeper and honey tasting.
I would highly recommend using SEABLE

I cannot put into words how good the service is provided by Seeable Disabled Holidays. I went to Sicily with them in October and I was extremely satisfied with the five star service that was provided. Damiano and his staff ensured I was completely comfortable at all times. Damiano went out of his way on many occasions to help me and meet my requirements. Seeable Disabled Holidays are always prepared to Taylor your holiday to suit you and your needs. All the staff are very friendly and understanding. You do not feel as if you're disabled because they make sure you are treated as normal and that you get to do what you want. They will fulfil any dietary or religious requirements you have and do everything in their power to make sure you have the best time with no stress. I recommend Seeable Disabled Holidays highly. Every excursion that is offered is worth every penny and provides the most authentic experience possible. Don't take my word for it though, book today and find out for yourself!!

Seable go above and beyond to make their trips as fun and accessible as possible. A recent trip to Cyprus was relaxed but full of really interesting activities. I'd recommend Seable to anyone and look forward to my next trip with them :)

I recently went with Seable and VICTA on a trip to Iceland and had an absolutely fantastic time.
The country has been right at the top of my dream holiday list for years. When I thought about going though, the practicalities and trying to get the best out of it with no usable vision (due to childhood retinoblastoma) swamped me. So when I got the chance to travel with people who were not only aware of my needs but passionate and knowledgeable about catering to them, I was ridiculously excited. In fact, I think ‘but Iceland, but Iceland, but Iceland’ was the only coherent phrase I was capable of for a good hour after reading the description of the trip.
And it didn’t disappoint. I was concerned that, going as we were to a place of immense natural beauty, it would all be visual. Instead, Seable provided a deeply sensory experience for all, sight or not. Being soaked by a waterfall, feeling the lapping of a glacial lagoon against my hands while icebergs crashed meters away, licking a chunk of thousand year old ice, swimming in geothermal water and leaping out the way of an exuberant geyser, all were deeply tangible and exhilarating. I have never felt so ‘in’ a place before. This was definitely helped by the friendly and imaginative local guide Seable arranged who entertained and enthralled us with tales of villages cut off by lava, facts about Iceland’s geography and his own reccomendations for blueberry growing!
The experiences were sensational but so were the people who helped me get there. I never felt as though I were an encumbrance or contrastingly, like I was overly vulnerable. The fun and friendly staff were there to facilitate our experience and help us to get the most out of the trip, not to shepherd us or rap us in cotton wool. Perhaps my favourite moment (and that sounds weird as it was one of the more mundane ones) was relaxing in a hot-tub with my friends after a long day. True, we were doing it under an amazingly stormy Icelandic sky but the fact that we were able just to decide to do it at a moment’s notice without having to stress that we’d never find our way there or back was what really makes it stand out. I very rarely get that freedom.
And that is why, more than anything, I’d advise any blind or partially sighted person to go on a trip like this. Not only will you have experiences of a life time but you’ll be able to enjoy them without stressing that your disability is about to land you up a fjord without a paddle. The freedom just to ‘have a holiday’ as a blind person is something we don’t always get so you should grab the opportunity if you can!

Just got back from a Great holiday with seable !! Enjoyed every moment of it! Scuba diving , trip to Mount Etna , Choice off local restaurant everything was really really good! Must say Damiano and his team organized everything wonderfully! Definitely recommend!

I have been working with Seable as chaperone for two years now and I feel lucky. My job is an opportunity to meet different people, know their stories and enjoy time together while travelling around. I am looking forward for the next experience.
