I am so glad I chose Cultural Care Au Pair UK to do my Au Pair experience with. They helped me every step of the way and made the searching and matching process really easy and I found my amazing host family who I still talk to. Even when I was worried about something crazy he was there to support me. I also think that Cultural Care has an amazing way of preparing you for the states with the classes they prepare for you. They give you a full first aid class and teach you about rules in the USA that you may not know. The staff at Cultural Care were very supportive and helpful during the application and matching process and after I had found my host family they ensured I was well prepared and knew what was happening, and would happen, at every stage of my journey. I loved my 2 years in the U.S.A. and still keep in contact with my host family, friends from the U.S., friends from around the World and even the Cultural Care staff. I can honestly recommend even just speaking to Cultural Care if you think you want to live in the States, make family there, make friends there, meet friends from many Worldwide cultures and feel supported the entire time. I am a current au pair from England, in my 5th month, and loving the experience so far. When the travel / visa ban came into effect in June 2020 I was devastated as I had already been left in limbo for close to a year, due to medical issues. There was a lot of new information coming in, but my home country coordinator kept me informed and up to date. She was always there when I needed her - I never felt like I couldn't pick up the phone or email. With the current pandemic, of course I had to do training school virtually. While I would have liked to have done the school in NYC, it was still fun and I made friends. CC adapted really well and even found a way to get some au pairs to the USA faster, if they already had a visa. Now that I am here with the most amazing host family, I can honestly say that I am so glad I am with CC. I run an au pair IG and podcast with another au pair and the company has been super supportive of us sharing our experiences. It isn't perfect, but nothing in life is. It's sad to see some of the negative experiences but I know that there are so many positive ones out there. Don't let the bad reviews put you off - do your research and decide for yourself.
