R. K.Exactly what everyone needs. As no free parking in town - hop on/of tour bus does the job. All major places covered.
D. N.Website and leaflet gives you stops and times. You may pay driver or book ahead. Whole trip takes 90 mins or hop off and on at one of 14 stops. There are some dull stretches out and back from Salford Quays. Sound commentary upstairs was unintelligible on one bus, but fine on another.

P. S.Went along with a friend after a particularly gruelling day. As it was the last bus of the day, we didn't hop off anywhere, but stayed put and enjoyed moving around Manchester. It wasn't crowded, and the commentary was quite clear. It took us a little over an hour to complete the tour, and with the reasonable ticket price, it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommended.

Bus driver not the nicest, but drove good, which is much more important. Bus was not full, had lots of place choices.
J.It was OK but not happy with customer service over phone. A man said that no cash accepted on bus and need to pay online. What a joke! Family ticket on bus is £5 cheaper than online. So better pay by cash and don't be ripped off by paying 25% more online.
L. B.Yellow buses very good, free Bus ride from Albert's square round the city centre. Due to the fact car parking is not easy in the middle of the city. I had to drive to one of the park & ride station, then take a tram to piccadilly where I joined the free bus ride.
E. M.Great value for money and really helps you get your bearings in the city. Commentary is clear and interesting. A two day pass can be used as cheap way to get around the city
R. S.Operations time are not apt for summer timings or fit for tourists (trip circuit is also less). Last trip starts at 3.20pm and finishes at 4.20pm ! At other cities during tourist season and summers, typically the last trip is at about 6.00pm finishing at 7.30pm.
J.Excellent value seats slightly wet on the open top section so be warned. It may be fine but you will still get a wet bum.
L. T.Manchester is a great varied city. Something for everyone. And especially in December with the Christmas markets, that just get better and bigger every year.

However, it is harder to see out inside than outside. So you have to decide: listen or see. The fact that the city itself doesn't have much to offer is not the organizer's fault. Good to get an overview.

Der Audiokommentar wird nicht wie gewohnt via Kopfhöhrer vernommen, sondern via Lautsprecher (und nur in Englisch). Leider ist er dadurch nur im Inneren gut zu verstehen. Allerdings sieht man im Inneren schlechter hinaus, als im Außenbereich. Man muss sich also entscheiden: höhren oder sehen. Das die Stadt an sich vergleichsweise nicht viel zu bieten hat, ist nicht die Schuld des Veranstalters. Gut, um sich einen Überblick zu verschaffen.

es gibt eine App, die die Tourinfos in verschiedene Sprache übersetzt.
Während der Busfahrer selbst spricht, wären Kopfhörer für die App sinnvoll.

Allerdings kommen die Erklärungen vom Band. Da vermisst man für 12 Pfund etwas den persönlichen Service.
Es gibt aber eine App und die Möglichkeit eine Sprache auszuwählen.
Allerdings sind App und Führung etwa 85 MB groß. Also am besten schon vor der Fahrt im WLAN "Sightseeing Manchester" installieren!
