Went in yesterday looking for a flight to Lima, very friendly and helpful girl searched for me. However she couldn't find anything for less than £1000 return just for the flight. Looked on Expedia this morning and found a flight for £609. Shame Trailfinders couldn't offer that..

We are just back from a wonderful break, Naples, Capri, Sorrento and Positano. Ian R in Newcastle , who has arranged trips for us previously, listened to what we wanted to do , and the type of hotels we like, then put together an itinerary and suggested hotels for us to consider. Dates had to be juggled to fit flight schedules and BA cancellations. Ian’s suggestions for hotels exceeded our expectations and the whole trip was magical and enabled us to see an area that we had wanted to visit at our own pace and not be herded by mass tourism. This was our first long haul holiday and first time with Trailfinders. The service was first class. Choosing flights accommodation and activities was so straightforward and tailored exactly to our needs. The individual itinerary was excellent as were the individual vouchers for accommodation car hire and activities, which included dos and don'ts. The support received from the emergency helpline, when BA pilots announced a strike and our flights were cancelled, was excellent and we were able to continue our holiday safe in the knowledge that Trailfinders were looking after us and re-booked our flights.

Just returned from a 30 night multi destination Thailand trip. Couldn't fault anything. Hotels amazing, trailfinder reps waiting for us upon arrival and Exo travel were used for all transfers who were absolutely professional prompt and polite throughout. We've had a mixed bag from trailfinders over the years. Sometimes they find some really good places, but they do tend to focus on big chain hotels, which we prefer to avoid. They need to move into the 21st century. I find it really frustrating that you can't email your advisor. We also tried to book an excursion via them and they took several days to come back and tell us that it was fully booked... when we worked out who their supplier was we could find the same information within minutes online. We also had an occasion where the hotel had a surcharge for parking and that was not included in the information provided by trailfinders (and they booked the car hire for us as well...).

We really valued his confidence, his gentle approach (we never felt pressurised or hurried) and his expertise when making suggestions as to where we could go and what we could do - and he was spot on! As I am a nervous traveller and have certain anxiety’s when booking a holiday abroad,Ian Romanis in Trailfinders Newcastle,really pulled out all the stops,considering it took me a lot to even get me into the shop,he now has us booked on a direct flight to Barbados in a lovely hotel and a fortnights cruise after.It took quite a while even going into the next day,but his patience and understanding really won me round,and although it’s not till next March,I am really looking forward to it.

Big shout out to Trailfinders and Joe Tomlinson in particular. My daughter currently on holiday in Bali was due to be transferred to Lombok islands tomorrow by boat for 4 days. Massive earthquake resulting in multiple fatalities and much devastation on Lombok earlier today. Several desperate phone calls by myself to Trailfinders. Result being they've extended her stay on Bali and refunded difference. Pleasure to deal with maintaining a common sense attitude throughout. Highly recommend them.
