Richard and Lucy are such a kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and professional tour company of the amazing English countryside. We were a group of 6 and had a private six hour tour with Richard. He allowed us time to explore each stop on our own, but also gave so many helpful suggestions and tons of info on the drives. He took us to the most special villages and we were able to get a true sense of the Cotswolds that would not have been possible on our own! We will def return for this tour on our next trip to England! Thanks, Richard and Lucy!

We had a wonderful private guided tour with Richard. He was really professional, funny, informative and organized. We were able to relax and know we were seeing “the best of the best” of the Cotswolds. He even took us to a traditionally built little cricket club after we expressed interest in staddle stones. Lucy was great to work with and helped us all along the way with reservations. It’s a great way to see the Cotswolds and I can’t recommend this company enough. You can tell they love the Cotswolds and are passionate about building a locally owned and operated tour company.

This was a very lovely tour and a nice day out from London. We took the train and was met for the tour right at the train station in Moreton in the Marsh. Richard was a great guide! He made the trip fun and told us many great facts about the history of each area we visited. I think my favorite stop on the trip was Drover's Hill. The view is spectacular! I liked that the tours are kept small, so it was just the four of us on the tour. I would definitely recommend and use this tour again. Thanks Richard and Lucy!

This was a fabulous tour. Small group.. If you've never been to this fabulous part of Britain, I highly recommend as a taste of what this area is like. If you've been before, as we have many times, you will still thoroughly enjoy seeing it again as you can never get enough of the scenic beauty of this lovely part of the world. The sites are simply amazing and there is nothing like the Cotswolds for charm and beauty and a sense of well-being. Richard Lambert took us on the most fascinating and informative tour imaginable. His narration throughout the tour brought so many interesting historical facts to our attention that would simply not be known otherwise. There was plenty of time to walk around the various stops which made photography a breeze. The tour was very efficient without feeling the least bit rushed. There is so much to see and Richard and Lucy Lambert are most accommodating to your specific travel plans.

We loved the “Best of the Best” Cotswolds tour! We arranged for Richard to pick us up at our cottage, and he arrived right on time with a warm greeting. It was a wonderful van with lots of room. Richard also had a car seat ready to go for our 1.5 year old toddler. Richard was knowledgeable, entertaining, professional, and is great with kids. The day was perfectly timed. Had the most wonderful "Best Of The Best" tour with Richard on May 8. We visited 6 of the most beautiful Cotswolds villages and it was amazing, had time in each village to have a wander, eat something, and take photos. Richard was very informative, very personable, and the van was very comfortable - I loved each of the 6 villages we visited, I even enjoyed the drive from one place to another which was gorgeous and Richard knew every inch and pointed different things out. Another thing I appreciated is the friendly and prompt response I received while still in the States planning my trip to the Cotswolds - their website is very user friendly and it was easy and safe to book my tour online. A great experience all around, I will definitely book another tour (or 2!) when I return to the lovely Cotswolds, highly recommended. Loved every second of it.

The Cotswolds Guided Tour came highly recommended by a friend and it didn't disappoint! My family had a wonderful day in the Cotswolds in late November 2022 with Cotswolds Guided Tours. We had a tight schedule and wanted to cover as much ground as possible in a day. After impeccable communications from Lucy L., we arrived exactly on time at the train station from London to have a perfect bespoke tour of the region - only issue I had was we should have booked another day as there is so much to see! Richard L. made possible for us to cover some excellent highlights of the region - e.g. Stow on the Wold, a cute market town, Bourton on the Water, Lower Slaughter, Upper Slaughter and then onto the remote hillside village of Snowshill, to watch the sunset. Importantly, Richard knows the backroads of the area very well so can navigate around potential areas of traffic – this is real insider knowledge. Can’t recommend enough Cotswolds Guided Tours for smaller groups or families. We look forward to coming back soon.

I highly recommend Cotswold Guided Tours! They use a small but comfortable van that allows them to visit smaller, less-frequented locations where the large coaches cannot go. Richard, the guide, is very knowledgeable, insightful and fun in his commentary. You’ll get time on your own to explore each village. Above all, they operate with tremendous integrity and commitment to customer service. Lucy alerted me to rail strikes, worked with me to reschedule canceled bookings and was a constant source of information and encouragement during my booking process. Best tour! Richard and Lucy were fantastic and this day tour was truly the best we had (and we went on a lot of other tours over our month's holiday). My sister-in-law and I toured the Cotswolds for 2 days with Richard in March, 2022. He had a great itinerary planned for us with various short and long stops at specific places. He gave us a lot of history and fun facts about various spots and directed us to great "photo ops" for just the right view. He recommended good lunch spots and was very good about taking Covid measures to protect us. Prior to our trip, his wife Lucy was very responsive through email and always gave us thorough and accurate information via email. They were truly the perfect type of tour company to work with. They even went the extra mile to contact us when we left some things in our hotel room (it was intentional to make room for purchases). I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Best tours I've ever been on! I did both of the Cotswolds Guided Tours during my stay and LOVED them both! I would absolutely recommend both tours, they kept me thoroughly entertained the whole time. We had an amazing day long guide tour of the Hidden Villages with Cotswolds Guided Tours. They were so accommodating by picking us up across the street from our Inn at Chipping-Camden and at the end of the day dropping us off at the Moreton-in-Marsh train station. These tours have a van with only 7 people permitted so there is plenty of opportunity to ask questions, ooh and ahh, and get out and see all of the sights which are spectacular! This is a Must!
