Such a beautiful cottage. We absolutely loved waking up and saying morning to the sheep! Hot tub was perfect for a soak after a long day exploring. Highly recommend the Old Station cafe in Longridge and the Little Town farm shop cafe just minutes up the road for delicious food, coffee and cakes with amazing service. Can’t wait to bring my daughter here when she’s older!

Spent a lovely weekend at Cobble View Cottage. Everything was perfect from start to finish. Great communication from Hayley and smooth easy booking process. As soon as we arrived we felt comfortable and at home. The cottage was well equipped, beautifully furnished, and spotlessly clean. The heating and underfloor heating were great, so cosy to come back to after a day exploring. The bespoke online guidebook was a great resource.
Waddington is a pretty, well-kept village. With three cosy pubs we were not short of food and drink options. You can see into the Higher Buck pub from the cottage – handy to check if there are any tables free! Friday night dinner at Waddington Arms was amazing. Such attentive hosts who really looked after us. The short 2 min walk home was appreciated! One afternoon we enjoyed a ‘Walks with Taste’ walk to and from the Lower Buck Pub. The local landscape and farmland is stunning. The walk was easy to follow using the leaflet from the cottage (or you can find it online).
We arrived by train into Clithero and explored the town which has lots to offer. Pretty streets and gorgeous pubs and restaurants. A 5 min taxi ride took us to Waddington. With so many walks on your doorstep it is definitely a trip you can do without a car. After our stay we got the train to Leeds for another enjoyable couple of days. Loved the indoor markets, stunning Victorian arcades and amazing food choices.
Having not been to the area before we were pleased to find gorgeous scenery, and a warm welcome from everyone we met. We would love to come back and explore more. We will definitely stay at Cobble View Cottage again. Thank you.

Shippon: thoroughly enjoyed our stay - the cottage was very smart (clean, tidy and very well presented). The Christmas decorations were a nice touch and the hot tub was amazing - even in the December chill. We regularly visit family in the Ribble Valley and usually stay in hotel rooms which are somewhat compromised for the 3 of us - by contrast the cottage was warm, comfortable and relaxing, a home from home ... we definitely plan to return.
We enjoyed great food at both The Derby Arms (across the road) and The Black Bull (Old Langho) also spent some time, food shopping and cinema, in Clitheroe.

We had a great experience at Cobble View Cottage in Waddington. Perfect base for exploring the Ribble Valley and all that it has to offer. This part of England is a real foodie heaven with lots of great independent food artisans producing outstanding products. Waddington itself is a delightful village with 3 exceptional pubs all within walking or staggering distance of the cottage. The food at the Higher Buck can be well recommended. The outdoor market at Clitheroe is also worth a visit for stocking up on cheeses, hams, fresh vegetables and pies.

This property is surrounded by beautiful greenery. The house is clean and spacious. The photos on the website reflex the true size of the house. The hot tub was a real treat!
There are eatery and supermarket nearby too. The only negative comment we have is that the house should be clearly marked as we have difficulty identifying it.

Definitely a place where to stay if you're in that area
