Took a 90 mins trip. One word fantastic. Well worth the money and knowledgeable Skipper. Parking was moderate, I went there 45 mins ahead of the scheduled time.

Mesmerising beauty of Reading and Thames River merging on this beautiful spot. Very relaxing, fresh and lovely place. Very pleasant cruise up to Mapledurham and back, £14 for 90mins running 11am and 2pm on a Saturday with other times for shorter trips. Informative but not overbearing commentary and a bar available. You won’t see so much of the Chilterns or the great house and mill in Summer due to all the leafy trees but still an excellent and sedate way to spend a lazy Saturday for all the family

This is a great way to spend a pleasant afternoon. The cruise runs upstream from Reading Bridge to Mapledurham Lock and back through the beautiful countryside. There is a commentary by the crew and this is informative and not intrusive. The boat is well fitted, comfortable and well maintained with nice, clean toilets. (Not always the case on some river cruises I have been on!) The crew are friendly and helpful. We had booked thges afternoon tea as we were celebrating a friends 60th Birthday and this was excellent. Well worth the money!

Very nice, peaceful and calmly atmosphere. Whenever you go there, a huge number of swans, ducks and pegions welcome you over here. People normally come here for a peaceful walk alongside the river and to feed these birds which really gives you inner satisfaction. Many cruises you can see in the river by different times as people spend their free time here according to their moods, in the water by cruise or outside the water by walk. Really a peaceful environment. Just love the walk on the path throughout the river.

The 90 min trip is fun, they have drinks and snacks on board and the staff is so friendly and entertaining with all the information they give during the trip also very funny jokes 😄

With trips of different durations giving beautiful tours on the Thames or heading over to Mapledurham, it provides a nice option for a good weather day out to enjoy the sights. Location is good at about a 10 minute walk from the train station and a car park next to the dock. While only using one boat (unsure if they have more), it seemed properly kept and functional, with refreshments available in the form of an onboard bar. Staff was friendly and courteous, seemingly welcoming to providing help.

Thank you guys for a great evening out along the Thames towards Maple Durham. It was very well organised with a brilliant crew who were so kind and helpful. We had 33 on board and everybody thoroughly enjoyed themselves. I would highly recommend this trip to anybody looking for a fun 3 hours on the Thames after work.

We had a lovely time today on the Caversham Princess on the Thames with a lovely cooked Sunday lunch. The staff were really lovely, so friendly and so much fun. Thanks especially to Marie and Diana - the waiting staff. We will definitely be back! From the naughty boys on table 8.

We did our wedding party on the princess marina. It is the most characterfull of all the boats. The staff were great, though the captain had a large ego and seemed a little disingenuous at times but was also very knowledgeable. The food was also great. Highly recommended!

One of the best things to do in Reading! Take a trip on board a full-on vintage steamer with an open air top deck (but sheltered from the elements) and a bottom deck with a full bar! Sadly no longer supporting some previous scheduled routes but still fun to take a lazy round trip cruise along the Thames.

The river cruises are great!! Perfect afternoon activity even when it's raining. There are toilets on board and a bar which serves a range of drinks. I'll be doing another one!

Had a great trip, 90min from Caversham to Mapledurham weir, great staff and a knowledgeable commentary. Drinks reasonably priced, on top of that great weather!!! Recommend to anyone in Reading for an afternoon outing. Loads of swan and geese to feed while you wait, and a Riverside cafe. Even better, it's free parking at the weekend, it's behind the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Excellent time on board. There was only my husband and I and our 2 granddaughters and one other couple. The captain was very friendly and knowledgeable. The other crew member was very helpful and friendly. The girls really enjoyed the experience despite the weather not being brilliant and blowing a gale. They loved seeing the swans and river birds especially the ducklings.

Excellent cream tea cruise sailing down the Thames to Mapledurham. Lovely food provided by '3 LOVE FOOD' and served by very happy and attentive staff. The captain steered a straight and honest line avoiding various canoes and other boats that decided to stray into the path of the vessel. 👍😁

Sailed on the Lady Caroline today from Reading Abbey. Fantastic trip, highly recommended. Spent about an hour on the boat, really friendly crew, bar, and great sights. The boat does the trip on a regular timetable through the summer. Excellent value for money, must do item.

Such a calming experience, lovely staff, clean deck, nice ambience...Perfect on a summer day for family and friends or even on your own for "Me time".....Tickets are very reasonable, could be booked online or on that day. Different timings are also offered, the cruise lasts for 80 minutes. Do have this experience atleast once... I am definitely coming back again!!!💕💕💕

Very nice Cruise's up and down Thames River see massive English homes and gardens and other amazing views from the Thames River. You can also hire your own little boat up and down the river especially in good weather. Great walks here lots of history.

I am shocked Thames Rivercruise aren't on Trip Advisor! I had a party on Caversham Princess to celebrate my 21st. All I can say is that the staff and service was lovely. The boat was gorgeous, with the option to sit downstairs by the bar or have a boogie with the views upstairs. Everyone who came enjoyed themselves, it was a night to remember.

I took my granddaughters on board it was cold wet afternoon we were the only passengers , but the skipper and crewman treated us like royalty. The boat was nice and warm , friendly , helpful staff it was throughly enjoyed . The cost is a bargain I will definitely return for future trips.
