Brilliant day out on the 4 rivers cruise. 5 hours of entertaining and informative commentary. Lunch and afternoon tea for £26. Great value. I would recommend if, like me you like all things in our on the water

I went on a Southampton River cruise with Blue Funnel Cruises on Thursday 9 June 2022. The staff were very friendly and helpful including the young girl staffing the upstairs bar who kindly brought some of our coach party , teas and coffees because they could not manage stairs. I found the commentary by the captain as we navigated the three rivy very informative , although a few of our party felt that the amplification was a tad too loud. The fish and chips were served in a convenient box and was ample in size. There was also an opportunity to purchase ice cream and alcohol from the upstairs bar.
However, the reason I am not giving a 5 star review is because of some access issues which impacted some of our party who have mobility issues.
There was a somewhat lengthy walk from the coach drop off point to the entrance where we accessed the boat. This was down a quite steep walkway, which although there were handrails made some of our less surefooted party somewhat nervous. There was a short steep metal ramp up to the actual boat entrance , which again had to be navigated with care . Staff were available for a helping hand! There is also a high internal step before getting onto the boat itself.
There are toilets on the lower deck. The main room on the lower deck, which was where I was seated, had plenty of seating at tables and also comfortable banquette seating along the sides. The windows were large to facilitate a good view of the harbour and rivers as we went along.
As I have said, there is an upstairs bar and second room upstairs a flight of about 10 steps.
All in all, an enjoyable trip but please take care if you are less surefooted due to age or disability.

Myself and my Mum had a great time on The Four River Cruise. We had a fresh and we'll presented Ploughman's lunch with Cake later on in the afternoon. There was very good and humorous commentary throughout the trip with information about all the area's we passed. Thanks to you all, Paul, Trevor, Captain Rob & Mark. For a great day out. I would thoroughly recommend Blue Funnel Cruises for any of their trips.

Fascinating guided tour of the ins and outs of the Southampton waterfront and beyond. Freedom to move about the boat for the 3 hour voyage, inside and out, with access to toilets, refreshments, snacks and even a fish and chip lunch if you order it. Friendly, experienced staff.

Took the 6am Fawley Power Station demolition cruise 31/10/2021. Weather was terrible but all credit to the Blue Cruise line staff as they did the best that they could have done in the conditions that prevailed and we saw the chimney drop.

Went on a Carabean cruise night and had a great time. Good music, basic but good food, staff were great. Facilities were kept clean and security kept the atmosphere nice with a word in someone's ear if they were getting to "boistress,". All in all a good night and good value for the money.

Well looked after. As a disabled wheel hair user, I was well cared for on my trip to the Isle of Wight. One little niggle, the lift. There is only room for the wheelchair user and if you drive in forwards, the door behind you is too heavy to open. Thankfully my daughter followed me up the stairs. Just as well as I was stuck in the lift and had already had a little trip up and down the decks as others recalled the lift! Lol!
